Asher stood by Alicia, Will, and Jasper still as statuses waiting for Alice.

"You sure this is where you saw her?" Jasper asked shifting closer to his ex girlfriend. "She's almost here." Alice said Asher took a breath preparing for what was coming, she was just glad Bella was with Edward and her mom. "On your left." Alice said Emmett explodes to his left, Rosalie right behind him. Jasper and Carlisle go wide, looking to cut Victoria off, Esme and Alice following up the rear.

Asher's breath was slow and steady as she chased after the fiery redhead. The Cullens and Addison were a bit ahead of her on her left and right. The rune on her forearm and neck glowed a bright blue along with her eyes as she ran, using her enhanced speed and eyesight to keep up with Victoria.

She clunched her knife tight as she gained up on the woman.

Victoria knew of the treedy between the Cullens and the wolves, Asher could tell as she watched her hop from one side to the other. "Wait. She's in their territory." Carlisle said, "she'll get away." Rosalie commented, "no she wont." Jasper and Asher said symoutamiously sending each other small smiles. Three giant wolves jumped to Asher's side, Asher smirked, "Just in time guys."

Victoria leaps back onto the Cullens side as they close in, "all ours now." Emmett said with a smirk in his voice. Emmett grabs Victoria as they roll.

Victoria uses the momentum to her advantage and flings Emmett off her into a tree using the split second he is down to jump back onto the wolves' side and keep running. Asher runs in between both lines gaining up on Victoria as her throat burns from the amount of running but she continues to push herself, after all Victoria was after her as well as Bella.

Asher sees Emmett jump over to the other side as she tried to get Victoria. "dammit Emmett no!" Asher yelled jumping towards him at the same time as Paul.

"Asher!" Jasper and Addison yelled but Asher paid no attention only focusing on trying to not get Emmett ripped apart for literally crossing the line.

Paul grabbed Emmett and Asher without noticing his best friend was attached to the big vampire.

Emmett tried to get Paul off and fought with him as Asher tried to pull then apart again, Paul grabbed Emmett and Asher once more throwing them into them lake near by as Victoria disappeared after watching the fight curiously with a smirk plastered on her lips.

Emmett came up seconds after, without Asher who was still under struggling to get up. "Emmett where's Asher!" Jasper yelled as he met up with his brother. Paul's eyes widened at the mention of his best friend, he looked around and then to Sam.

'She's in the water Paul, you threw her and the Cullen both in there' Sam said through their mind link Asher being connected to the mind link heard but was unable to respond.

Jasper tried to jump in to get her out but Alicia stopped him, "Don't. She's okay let her get up on her own, she's strong. Water doesnt harm her, you'll see"

Asher opened her still glowing eyes from under the water, she could see clearly through the water which didn't surprise her but what did was the water started to swirl around her, she was amazed by it, the power rune that she at yet to find out what it does, began to glow along with her veins connecting the runes together like a connect the dots.

The water seemed to just dance around her she hadn't even noticed she'd been underwater for nearly six hours already until Jasper's shouting got her attention.

"Asher!" Jasper yelled again about to jump in again until he saw a glowing light of blue.

A lond gasp was then heard from in the water they all snapped there headed towards the sound seeing a perfectly fine but cold and wet Asher. "if i-I knew I w-was going swimming t-today I w-wouldn't have worn w-white" Asher said with a laugh they could tell she was freezing by the way her lips were colored blue and the fact that she was shivering from the wind but they were glad she was okay.

Jasper didn't hesitate to jump in towards her picking her up bridal style, she was shaking. "take her back to the house I'll tell Charlie she fell asleep in my room." Rosalie said not taking her eyes on the shivering girl.

Grawls rippled through the pack Emmett glared at them "shut it dogs you're one of the reasons besides me that she was in there in the first place, if you'd paid attention I'd be the only one you would've attacked" Emmett snapped mostly looking at Paul who was looking at Asher with guilty eyes 'this is the second time I've hurt her' the pack looked at Paul with the same look he was giving Asher. "Its okay Paul, I'm f-fine just c-cold." Asher said before laying her head in the crook of Jasper's neck

"let's not blame anyone but Victoria how about that" Addison said from her place beside Alice who grabbed her mate's hand giving it a small squeeze.

Will and Alicia looked at Paul then to Asher seeing her pink scars, "what happened?" Will whispered to Alicia even though everyone around them heard him clearly. "Ill tell you later."

The Cullens and the pack watched as Jasper carried his freezing ex girlfriend to his home Alice and Addison trailing behind.

"Everyone go get your rest you all will need it." Carlisle told his family and the pack before the Cullens followed Jasper back to the house and the pack hesitantly went back to Sam's.

"I'm fine really, thank you Jazz." Asher said accepting the clothes and towel he handed her outside his bathroom so she could take the warm bath he set for her. "You need to get warm you're still shaking." Jasper said smiling at the nickname he hasn't heard in a while.

Asher smiled walking into the bathroom whilst Jasoer closed the door, "bubbles, nice touch." Asher commented looking at the warm bubble bath infront of her, she heard Jasper chuckle as she stripped down and got in. A satisfied sigh left freezing girl's lips and he was warmed up. "You can come in if you want, I'm covered." Asher said with a laugh as he sunk further into the water until only her neck up was showing.

Moments later Asher heard the bathroom door open and close peeking through her lashes she saw Jasper sitting on the toilet. "I'm glad you're okay, you were under there for hours." Jasper said trying hard to keep his eyes on her face even though her naked body was covered by layers of bubbles besides her knee that waa peeking out.

"It means alot Jasper, thank you. Being under the water is was crazy I don't know how to explain it but it was beautiful I didn't feel like I was in danger of drowning I felt peaceful almost." Asher said moving to look at him covering her chest with the edge of the tub resting her chin on her forearm as Jasper listened.

The two sat in comfortable silence enjoying each other's company. Asher missed this, the small meaningful moments they had together. She missed Jasper and being with him every night when she's leave her window open for him to come in.

Jasper handed her the towel once she was ready to get out and left so she could get dressed one of his t-shirts and a pair of sleeping shorts Rosalie had. Jasper smiled once she came out wishing and hoping he'd see her like this all the time. Wet hair, makeupless face with tired eyes, and her wearing one of his shirts that went down to just above her knees and would hang out one of her shoulders.

"You can sleep in my room tonight." Jasoer said pointing towards the bed he had gotten when they first got together. Asher smiled, "stay with me?" Jasper was surpirsed she had asked him to stay but agreed without hesitation climbing into the bed with Asher following laying her wet hair covered head on his chest.

"I miss this." Asher admitted before falling asleep in Jasper's arms who smiled listening her her breathing slow as she slept.

"As do I."
