The only thing that survived is the short grass in the tundra. Mista thanks Giorno and begins to rips the grass from the surface quickly. In doing this, he can save Latte from being encased in ice. The assassin stops Mista from tearing the grass further by summoning more ice. Using his head, Mista uses the grass and ice to form a snow board. The assassin cursed at the sight as Mista begins to skate down the ice path towards their destination.
"White Ice! Undo the ice temporarily!" He orders his stand. In a blink of an eye, the ice disappears. Latte plunge into the water. She swims up the surface, gasping. Giorno has a look of relief when seeing Latte in one piece. His head turns to Mista who is caught by the ice once again.
Latte looks at the fight between Mista and the enemy. She decides to take this chance and look for the disc while they are distracted. Using her stand, Small mirror shards coat the mute woman to make herself look invisible to the naked eye. She begins to move towards their destination by swimming. Latte is able to pull herself from the water to land. The sound of gunshots caught her ears. She jogs towards the lion statue to look for the disc.
The mute woman become still as Mista climbs to the edge of the wall to peer up. She had to be quiet in order not to draw attention to herself. If Mista notices her, then the enemy will too. Apologizing the man in silence, Latte watches Mista return back to the water - possibly to finish the enemy first. She stops when hearing Giorno call out Mista in distress.
Standing next to the lion statue, her eyes lands on Mista once again lifting himself up on land. Latte become still when the enemy joins him also. Searching for the disc, the assassin looks at the photo for a clue. Giorno watch the scene unfold then quickly remembers the mute girl. Turning back to the water, he saw no one in the water. "Shit!" He curses under his breath, trying to locate the woman.
Franticly searching for the missing girl, Giorno snaps his head back to the statue. The statue broke into pieces as the assassin slams it with his left arm. Behind the pieces, it reveals the disc in a red case. "Computer disc. I knew it! The thing you were trying to get was something to tell you how to get to the boss!" Declaring himself the victor, he reaches for the disc. Before he could reach for the disc, something invisible slams the enemy in the face. He takes two steps backward, out of shock.

"What the?!"
Latte made her presence known, revealing herself to the world. She gave him a cat-like grin then uses her parasol's handle to pull the disc in her left hand. She caught the disc in ease. Giorno's eyes widen to see the mute woman able to sneak up on the enemy. The mute woman jumps back to avoid sharp skating blade from cutting her neck. The blade put a light cut across her throat. Luckily, it didn't cut past the skin's barrier. A bullet flies between the assassin and Latte.
This distraction allows Latte to slip in the disk under her coat. Then, she uses her stand to coat herself in mirror shards. Turning herself invisible, she kept herself a safe distance away to keep the disc out of his reach.
"Damn it!" The blue haired man shouts out. Mista points his gun at him. He mentally thanks the woman for her intervention. Now, he can focus all of his attention on his target. With a call of his name, Mista and his opponent turns to see Giorno showing his resolve. Seeing Giorno inspires Mista to take charge. Clearing his mind, he is able to see a path to shoot the enemy's weak point. Shooting six bullets at once, he is met with the enemy's deflection with his ice shards.
Bullets charge at Mista, blood spills out. His blood blocks the man from seeing behind his mask. Latte wants to jump in and assists Mista but she will only stand in his way. Mista is able to send the enemy back to be stabbed in the back of the neck with a sharp piece from the metal pole. More bullets are shot at the enemy's direction - forcing his body to plunge the metal deeper. Each move he forced him, he receive his own bullets back as a result.
Blood coats the floor with each bullet Mista took. Latte couldn't stand by anymore and runs towards Mista. As the last bullet ricochet, she grabs the back of his shirt to pull him away from the bullet - barely saving him from a bullet to the head. "WHAT?!" He shouts out. Latte turns visible as she held him in her arms. Giorno stood in front of them. "Mista, your resolve is shining upon the path, even brighten than this rising sun. And it's shining on the path that we're meant to take!" He spoke up, glaring at their enemy.
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
Golden experience kicks down the enemy deeper into the pole until it went through his neck. Their enemy is finally defeated. Latte heard a groan then looks down. Mista breathes heavily, looking at Giorno. She could something is in his mind. Her right hand brush his forehead to made him look up. The sight of pink and brown eyes under the rising sun made him wonder about something. Latte breathes out a sigh of relief to see him still conscious. Giorno turns to see the both of them.

He looks at Latte who pulls out the red disc under her coat. Waving it to them, Giorno smiles at the both of them. Then, he kneels down to Mista's side. "Mista, we safely retrieved the disc, thanks to you." He spoke up. Latte nods her head in agreement, smiling down at him.
"...Hurry and fix me up, I-I can't breathe..." Mista could only say. Even though he appreciates resting his head on Latte's soft lap, he is still bleeding out and in pain. "Of course, but I'd like to clear something up first. Golden wind doesn't exactly fix things. It creates parts of your body." He explains in detail. Mista doesn't care. Giorno summons his stand to place a hand on top of his bullet wound.
Mista jerks up in pain, "O-Ow! Be more gentle! More gentle, damn it, Giorno!" Latte winces from his shout. Giorno sighs, "You're a gangster, for crying out loud. Please quit fussing." Mista shouts and winces each time a wound closes. Giorno looks up at Latte, "Please hold him down, I can't do anything if he moves." Mista become still then looks up at Latte. She gives him a serious look. Her eyes gives him a silent apology.
"L-Latte...Oi...Latte!" Mista shouts out as Latte's hands hold down Mista's shoulders to keep him in place. Gold experience heal a couple more wounds. "There are 18 wounds...he have to remove some of his clothes for me to plug the rest." Giorno spoke out.
"Wait...no, ugh!!!!"
Down the river canal, Narancia uses his stand to scan his surroundings. "Bucciarati, I'm picking up three signals. It looks like no one else is here." He whispers. Bruno tells him to be careful. "I'm assuming it's Latte, Mista, and Giorno." He told Narancia, "I'm sure they're bored out of their minds waiting for us since nothing is happening."
"ACK! GIORNO!" He heard Mista shout out. Turning his head to the right side, his eyes laid on his teammates. "There they are! Hey, Mista! Latte! Gio-" He froze at the sight before him. Laying on the bench is Mista crying out. Working on healing the rest of the bullet holes, Giorno has his back to Narancia. Giorno and Mista's position looks rather suggestive to anyone who laid eyes on them. "Be gentler! Gentler, damn it!" Mista cries out, "D-Don't take off my clothes! I'll feel it more! Latte!" Latte stood next to the bench, her attention is on the man. She held up the bottom of Mista's sweater to give Giorno a chance to heal the rest.
Shock run through Narancia's body at the sight. "Well, Narancia? Did you find those three?" Bruno's voice brought him back to reality. Sputtering out words, Narancia lies to them that he doesn't see them clearly.
"BE GENTLER, DAMN IT!" Mista cries out loudly.
After a long session of closing his wounds, Giorno stands up from his spot. "Now then, do you have any wounds?" He asks the mute woman. She just points to the light cut on her throat as the only wound she has. Better safe than sorry, Giorno uses his stand to repair her skin.
Silently thanking the teenager, Latte looks at Mista sitting on the park bench next to her. He bares frown on his face, having endure the pain while Gold experience block his wounds. Giorno told them that they should go back to the others. She accepted the idea then Giorno walks away from them. Feeling eyes on him, Mista let out a grumble. "What now-" His voice stops as he felt something soft on his left cheek. His mind clicks in realization.
Just as Mista realize what Latte did, she saw his cheeks turn red. He turns to Latte who gives her a soft smile. "It is a thank you for your hard work." She signs to him even if he doesn't understand. Latte has to admit, Mista is quite an interesting guy to be around. Standing straight up, she begins walking away from him.
Coming back to reality, Mista's eyes lands on her back. "O-Oi, Latte! Hey, don't walk away from me!" He shouts out to the woman, "What was that for!? Hey, Latte. Answer me!" Mista's words only fall on deaf ears. Latte hid a cat-like grin behind her right hand.

Apocalypse at Mighty Max
God sold us out and the world ended... well, sort of. God may have sold us, or at least, our universe but our world didn't end. Instead, the new owners decided to play, and we all know what that means: Monsters, a System, Magic, Cultivation, and, of course, two new moons! Thanks for reading! I appreciate the interest. This is a rough draft and is intended to flesh out some ideas for a novel that I had. Maybe figure out if I want to do this author thing, you know? If you want immediately OP MCs, fights every chapter, a harem, this is not the story for you. Sorry about that. If you're willing to put up with a long growth curve, an MC that doesn't know what he's doing most of the time but is trying his best both to survive and to help his friends survive, you might enjoy the story. I'm just trying to have fun, maybe create something that in a second draft I can sell on the eBook market. If you're not into that, not into providing helpful comments for revisions, hey, that's cool, but do us both a favor and stop reading now. ** Oh, release schedule For the first weeks, I'll be releasing a chapter (1800-3000 words) a day. Following that, I'll be releasing whenever the mood strikes me. If I get some feedback, the mood might strike me more often, hint! hint!

Expect: -Slow build storytelling -Character details -Foreshadowing -Dialogue driven narrative -Dynamic action scenes -Some mild graphic descriptions of injury -Sexuality is a factor -No explicit content (at least not directly) -Mild body horror -Light cosmic horror Reviews and critique are highly encouraged. Redemption
Remnants of ancient history told of a time when great magics were possible, but now most go their entire life without knowledge of its existance. However, things will soon change as the wall holding back the past begins to break and mana again floods the world. But more than just mana was sealed away... ~ Back from a long hiatus, this time with some semblence of a plan and both the time and the desire to write. Writing still needs work to be sure, but I plan to see that chapter number get as high as I can and work out the kinks along the way.
