《Growing Old》Hearing

Izuku wrapped an orange scarf around his neck, puffing up the collar of the coat he adorned. He sat on the edge of the comforted bed. Slipping on his red high tops and tying them.
It had been a couple of days since Todoroki stopped by, and ever since then Izuku has felt better emotionally wise. Bakugo has commented/wrote about that, pointing out the hint of a smile on the greenette's lips.
He left the room, grabbing the bag of food for him and Bakugo. He left the house, locking the front door before walking down the sidewalk to the bus stop.
It was pretty cold at the moment, and the man rocked back and forth on his heels to keep some movement going. The bus finally arrived and he hopped on, curling in on himself when he sat down since it was still cold.
He bounced his legs, becoming impatient. When the bus finally stopped at the hospital, he jumped up, thanking the driver and booking it to the building. He didn't need to check in, which he was very thankful for. The doctors and nurses made sure he was allowed up to Bakugo and he never stopped thanking them for working their "magic".
He walked to the elevators, and rode to the floor Bakugo's room was on. He took a deep breathe when he left the elevators, walking down the sleek bright white halls. He made it to Bakugo's room, knocking before he walked in to make sure, that if there were a doctor in there, he was known.
"Morning, nerd." Bakugo greeted.
Izuku jumped back in surprise, dropping the bag of food. He stood there, staring at the blonde, who had a soft smile on his face.
"Y-You can-" Izuku was cut off.
"I can hear. Loud and clear."

A sob escaped the greenette's lips and the tears started flowing out of his eyes. The blonde couldn't tell what kind of tears they were, but he assumed it was either a cry of relief or joy.
Bakugo sat up in the hospital bed, stretching as he got off of it, "Come on, Deku. That's not what I wanted the first thing to be heard from you."
"I-I'm Sorry." Izuku stammered, quickly wiping his eyes.
"No, hey. Don't be." Bakugo corrected.
The blonde enveloped Izuku into a hug, holding him like he was protecting him from the world around them. Izuku let his tears run dry, looking up into Bakugo's crimson orbs.
"Hey." Bakugo greeted, wiping the dry tears from Izuku's cheeks.
"Hi." Izuku whispered back.
The greenette grabbed Bakugo's head, tilting it from side to side and turning it slightly to look at his ears. The blonde didn't have hearing aids, and his ears looked intact and normal.
"They found a healer." Bakugo informed, going to sit on the edge of the bed with Izuku standing in front of him with the food now. "They have to monitor my hearing today but I'm free to go at 6."
Izuku smiled widely, "Want to go to dinner then? I'll get you a change of clothes."
"Are you asking me out on a date?" Bakugo smugly asked, intertwining his fingers with Izuku's and holding them up.
"Maybe." Izuku chuckled, planting a kiss to his cheek. "For now, lets get some breakfast in you."

Long War [Oldest]
It was a war. It was silent, so silent that few people ever noticed that it was happening, and long. So long that those who knew forgot why it ever started. Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
