"These messages make no sense, no context." Seowoo pointed out, sitting next to Chenle on the floor- their knees brushing against each other as she practically leaned over him to see the phone.
He glanced down at her before pushing her head away.
"Move, I can't see."
"Shut up, I'm trying to look."
Successful?
Yes.
Money transaction is complete.
"Grandad?" Seowoo asked, utterly confused.
"Your Grandad?"
She shook her head.
"He's dead."
There was a silence.
"This can't be good."
"No shit Chenle, there's millions of pounds under his bed and what looks like a fucking hit list!" She exclaimed and the boy eyed her.
"Does anyone come in here?"
"No, my parents can't."
He nodded before looking over the room.
"There must be more clues in here right- where does he hide shit?"
"I don't know, I kinda got sidetracked by the mass of money you know?"
The boy rolled his eyes, dropping the phone back under the mattress before scoping the room with his eyes.
"Well, get looking then."
Seowoo groaned, head falling back on the wall.
"Why do I feel like I'm in a kdrama?"
"Yeah, you'd be the irrelevant shop assistant."
Seowoo gawked at his retort.
"Shut up, I'm not irrelevant you-!"
"Yeah?" He asked with a brow raised, lips tugging up.
"Ugh, you're so annoying!" She exclaimed, pushing past him to the wardrobe and he let out a chuckle.
"Such a short temper."
"Such a dickhead."
"Shut up and look." He ordered the girl who grumbled under her breath and began looking around.
"What's the password to his laptop?"
"My birthday."
"And how would I know that?"
Seowoo stood up from her crouched position, stretching her arms as she walked over to Chenle who was sat on the chair at the desk.

She reached him, leaning over to type the password in.
Her arm brushed against his shoulder as she did- the screen illuminating her face up to amplify her features.
The way her thick lashes fluttered as she blinked to the small slope in her nose and bottom lip taken hostage by her teeth.
The scent of her perfume drifted over to him as she began to look through the laptop curiously.
"Hm, I can't find anything- can you see anything suspicious?" She asked mindlessly, turning her head towards him but halting.
Their faces were closer than she anticipated as she looked slightly down at him, breath hitching in her throat and lip parted in slight shock.
Chenle's dark yet deep brown eyes looked into hers, unreadable and closed off as they were partially covered by his dark hair.
The air suddenly shifted, thick and heavy in the large room yet it felt much smaller in the moment.
Nothing was said, no one moved.
Seowoo was basically rooted in the spot and Chenle was still staring up at her.
Becoming overly flustered, Seowoo tore her eyes away and stepped back- turning back around to walk over to the wardrobe with her heart pounding against her ribcage.
"Y-you check there, I'll search the wardrobe." She said, unknown to the fact his eyes hadn't left her figure.
There was a silence hung over them as they began searching before there was the screeching of tires and Seowoo immediately jolted up.
The sound of her head banging against the wood made Chenle look over as she cradled her head in her hands with wide eyes.
"Shit, they're home!" She exclaimed as Chenle glanced at the window as he heard the engine die down.
Immediately, he shut down the laptop as Seowoo closed the wardrobe. The two of them placed the mattress back and the covers in place as she grabbed his hoodie and practically dragged him out of the room when she heard the lock clicking from the front door.

She panicked, closing Jeongmin's door as she rushed to her bedroom- pushing Chenle inside it and pressing her back against the door.
"Seowoo must be here- her shoes are here and someone else's."
Shoes.
"Fuck." She hissed, closing her eyes.
Chenle was glancing around her room as she was having a mental breakdown down before she heard the sound of him walking around.
"What are you doing?" She hissed as he sat down at her desk and grabbed her school books.
"Seowoo! Do you have a friend around?"
Chenle held the textbook up.
"Studying."
Thankfully, she caught on quick as she practically ran over to the desk and stood next to him as the door opened.
"So that's how 56 is x-"
"Seowoo- oh." Her mother's voice died down once she spotted the two.
"Mum!" Seowoo exclaimed with a nervous smile to which Chenle warningly kicked her gently.
"Hey honey, who's this?"
"Oh...this is Chenle- I'm tutoring him."
"Really? That's great!'
"Yeah...." She chuckled awkwardly.
Chenle glanced at her Mother before bowing his head.
"Hello."
"Hi darling, are you hungry- I was just about to make dinner-"
"No!" Seowoo exclaimed out. "I mean...no he said he needs to go home now anyway- right?" She glanced back at Chenle.
He nodded.
"Yeah, I should get going."
"Oh no, that's a shame! Maybe next time." Her Mother said with a smile, bidding her goodbyes as she closed the door and Seowoo's shoulders shrugged.
"X is 57." Chenle stated and Seowoo glared at him.
The two of them reached the door, her watching as he pulled his shoes on.
"I'll come to the-" she paused. "Library to meet the rest of our classmates tomorrow." She spoke and he gave a nod before pulling on his hood.
"Bring your notes from earlier." He spoke, referring to the list and she nodded.
Chenle opened the door, glancing back at the girl.
"Are you still in?"
There was a pause as she internally debated.
Her time of just watching the gang was coming to a close and she had two options.
Opening her eyes, she looked back at the boy.
"I'm in."
I want in too

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?
