Hong Kong to Canada At The Age Of 14

While being born in Hong Kong, at the age of 14, Dan and his family moved to Canada with the hopes of starting a new life. As a young teenager he experienced culture shock when his dad went bankrupt and stayed in Hong Kong while he and his mother moved into a small one-bedroom apartment in Canada; barely getting by. His father was not able to send money for support leaving Dan’s mother, who had a limited skill, to bring in the money. Dan started his first and only 9-5 job at 16 bagging grocery, entered college, and dropped out when he took a formal mentorship with Alan Jacques in copywriting vowing to be successful and take care of both of his parents.

Dan failed at 13 ventures before he finally experienced success. Dan admits that if he could change anything about his past he would not have started all of those foolish business endeavors that ultimately ended in failure. He blames desperation for the doomed business ventures that drained his resources, wasted his time, and hijacked his focus.
