Its has been a week since Alex has left and the Cullens were going crazy. Yes they defeated Victoria but now there in the middle of the field waiting the arrival of the Volturi guards who would no doubt ask about their queen.
They all faced the woods just as The elite guard exited the woods in sync. There beady red eyes instantly scanned the cover looking for Alex. "Wheres out Queen" Jane asked coming to a stop
The Cullend glanced at one another nervously. "Shes not with us" Carlisle stated taking the lead. Anyone could tell he was nervous. He wouldnt be surprised if they killed them all on the spot
"And where is she" jane glared at him. He didnt answer fast enough to her liking."pain" she mumbled watching him drop to the ground grunting and crying out
"She ran away" Alice yelled out regreting instantly when all eyes went to her. "So left last week and we havent seen her since. " she explained
The Volturi all growled at the Cullens. "You should have called immediately when it happened. " Felix snapped.
"Kill the newborn" Jane snapped looking at the girl that hid behind Emment
"She under out protection" Esme tried to reason
"No, out queen, your queen was under your protection and she gone. " Demitri snapped stalking up to the newborn and killing her.
Jane pulled out her phone and called Aro making the Cullens tense as they heard him answer. 'Jane, is the newborn problem settled '
"Yes master but it seems we have another problem. The Cullens has allowed the queen the runaway and she has been missing since last week " jane glared at the Cullens as she said this.
'Demitri and Felix are to immediately take the queens guards and find her. The Cullens are wanted back here. All of them even the human' Aro ordered growling slightly through the phone.

"Yes master" Jane hung up the phone and nodded twords Demitri and Felix who ran off to find her scent.
"You all heard him. Pack a bag and meet us at the airport in an hour" she ordered turning to leave the Cullens to there own devices.
Miles away Alex ran from the cops in New York. She had just stolen a wallet and some milk when she was found. She of course was not going to let them catch so easily and took off
She was staying in an abandoned warehouse for two days and coukdnt wait till this weekend. She was taking another bus to Las Vegas tomorrow since she got enough money to do so.
She scaled the side of a building barely getting away from the police when her phone rung. It hasn't rung all week so she was surprised and answered it. "What's up?"
'Alex, where are you' she knew that voice anywhere and couldnt help but smirk
"I'll tell you where I'm not Demitri " she says walking along the ledge of the building she was on.
'I can too. Your not in Forks with the cullens and not in Italy. The masters are pissed but more worried for your safety '
"Not my problem, they should never have believed me when I told them I want to finish school. What normal teenager really want to go to that hell" she says smiling slightly.
"I mean I'm pretty sure the cullens could pick up on my lie from a mile away" she adds knowing she was digging a bigger hole for them.
Alex glanced down into an ally hearing a muffled scream. She groaned at what she saw. A vampire was feeding off a human who struggle was getting weaker and weaker.
"You vampires are everywhere" she mumbled watching disgusted

'Vampire? Alex run' Demitri ordered panicked
Alex blinked in surprise when she saw an empty alley that was until she felt the wind pick up behind her. "Hey big guy. We can talk this out right" she asked turning around to be met with tall, lean vampire with red eyes.
'Tuch her and the Volturi will kill you slowly' Demitri snarled through the phone
Alex rolled her eyes before hanging up. She looks at the male who watched her amused. "The Volturi huh?" He questioned walked twords her.
"What can I say,I'm a danger magnet. " Alex says crossing her arms while silently calling to the shadows. "Need something " she asked
"You running from them" he asked
"Something like that. Running from mates" she says not giving away enough information
"I am too. Let's help each other out" he says smirking at her. She glared at him
"No I'm good. Better not to depend on another" she says
The male nodded. "Respect girl. Word of advice. Avoid other vampires. There not as nice as me" he says disappearing.
Alex rolled her eyes and jumped down the fire escape. She had to change the bandages on her hand and then plan out what to do. If Demitri called she was pretty sure he would be the one to come after her. She needed some more money and to rush her plans to tomorrow. She did not want to get caught and have to face three angry kings.

Local Minima
[Entry for the June Royal Road Community Magazine Contest] A prisoner named Gemmei is gifted a chance to put her life on a better track after being transferred to the Hibiya Correctional Complex, a lower security prison allegedly intended for less violent offenders. However even though the walls keeping her in are no longer visible, plenty of barriers are in the way that prevent Gemmei from returning to the world she once took for granted. Chief among them is the Houzou Hakkyou, a special tattoo every prisoner in the system receives that alters how they can think and feel through forced sedation. The curse the Hakkyou enforces ensures compliance and docility among the inmates, but as Gemmei finds out, cruelty is born from more than emotion alone.

The Cosmic and the Fair
When magic comes crashing into the world, humans are swept away. When they come trickling back, they are changed. Many of them have been transformed into elves, dwarves, trolls... and now one succubus. Magic is wondrous, dangerous, and inextricably linked to all living things. But succubi have to take it from other people, and for a succubus dropped far away from any communities big enough to sustain her, that's a problem. Luckily for Persephone Evans, she's got help. She has a fancy unique class and a companion. But both gifts come with strings attached, and why did she have to teach the succubus on her shoulder what 'consent' means? This is my first story! Note: The prologue differs wildly in tone from the rest of the story. I'm playing it safe on the tags. I don't think the story really deserves the profanity or gore content warnings, but the main character does swear and get hurt. That said, the main character is a succubus. Sexual content is a given.

Seclusion
I look at the mountain of paperwork before me. I'm overworked. Slowly, my eyes fall shut. I'm so tired of this... A loud 'bang' caused by dropping off another pile of paperwork made me bolt upright. 'Hated by my own people,' I sigh internally and rub my temples. This is not what my 'freedom' was supposed to look like. My eyes hover over the ring on my finger. I tried, you know? Right now, I only want everything to stop. Maybe read some books, eat something delicious, and nap as often as I want to. Wait...I am the matriarch! Hell, I can do whatever I want! Books? I can pocket whole libraries in my domain. Food? Also, in my domain. Naps? Well, there are many cuddly nooks in there. Sooo...my domain has everything I need—dunno why I never thought of this before. All that's left is to relocate its entrance to another totally secret place. How about that hidden forest temple? Yes, let's go with this! Goodbye obligations, goodbye people who always want to take over, goodbye enemies, and at last, good riddance to the council that tries to marry me off to one of these fat ugly narcissistic nobles. Uhh, I just hope nothing will go wrong during my long-term absence. Nahhh, nothing will happen at all; I am totally sure of it...probably. ______ This is the rewrite of the old story: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/273362/seclusion-old-version--dropped/ Alternate Titel: I lived so long in seclusion that everybody forgot about me
