Mixed Emotions
"Break up with me. Let me go."
Jungkook stared at him in disbelief. He just cried, and now he wants to cry even more.
"W-Why...?" he asked as his lips tremble.
"Jungkook I want you to be the one who would break up with me." now, Taehyung started crying as well as he continued speaking. "I-I can live off t-telling myself that I was never good e-enough for y-you..."
"No Taehyung, don't tell yourself that." Jungkook shook his head and instantly hugged the other close once more, tangling his fingers with his soft locks.
Though Taehyung ignored his actions, pulled away and continued to speak up more. "I-I want to l-let go of this relationship but I c-cant. I l-love you, I f-freaking do. It would b-break my heart to lie, but I want us to be h-happy for once. I feel like you're ashamed to have me. Do you even love me for real?"
"Of course I do. You don't understand, Taehyung... I don't want to let you go either." Jungkook leaned against the sink and took a deep breath. "Y-You're the only one who loves me for who I am, not for what I had to offer. People liked me b-because I was with the famous and p-popular kids and people do say that I-I am talented, that is also one of the reasons why I think they a-approach me. But you s-saw the genuine me, the simple Jungkook without fame or talent, where I was still at point z-zero. Losing you means like losing a memory of mine..."
"Then think of me Jungkook! How do you think it feels if you are the one in my shoes? I've been watching you from afar all this time. I want to tell people that I'm yours and you're mine."

Jungkook was glued to the floor, he opens his mouth to say something, but no words come out of it. In short, he was speechless.
"T-Then..." he started. "Next month, on the new year celebration, I would tell everyone that we're dating. Proudly and confidently."
"...I don't need you to tell everyone." Taehyung replied bowing down his head to fiddle with his fingers. "I-I just want you to stop kissing or f-flirting with girls in front of me, I want you to be aware that you have a boyfriend and you should know your limits. Maybe tell your friends as a start."
Jungkook raised his right hand and pointed his left pointer finger, drawing an 'x' mark on his chest.
"I promise, I will. That'd be my new year's resolution."
"Promise me that you'll do it for real this time."
Taehyung wiped his tears away and lovingly cuddled Jungkook. The latter raised up his chin and planted a sweet kiss on his lips, pouring all of his emotions out.
Suddenly, Jungkook's eyes widened and pulled out and moved away from their embrace. His hands were sweating as he grabbed his phone from his back pocket.
"Y-Yes? Ah, hello... I'll be there!" he gave off an awkward laugh as he clutched his chest and put his phone back where he got it. "T-Tae, I need to go out now. See you."
Taehyung was left there speechless, he wanted to ask what's wrong, but in a flash, Jungkook was gone.
He looked at himself at the mirror with half excitement, half sadness.
Jungkook would tell his friends that he's his on new year.
But at the same time, he feels sad, maybe because there's a feeling of doubt inside of him that it might not happen.
"Taehyung!" a cheerful voice echoed around the bathroom stalls, snapping Taehyung out of his thoughts.

"J-Jiminie?" he replied in shock.
"I saw Jungkook crying and running away on my way here. Do you know what happened to him?" Jimin curiously asked, but then followed by a gasp. "Wait, why are you crying too...?"
"F-First, I have no idea why he was crying." Taehyung lied, of course. "Second, I was just washing my face, this isn't tears."
"I see..." Jimin nodded, believing every word that the other said. "Anyways, it's almost time for our class so the lady at the kitchen told us at the dining room to pack up. I had to come here to get you because I can't contact your phone. There's no signal at the dorm bathrooms."
"... no signal?"

"So at the movie week before the holiday break, I was one of the people who were asked to participate in a movie contest. Our theme is comedy and-- hey, are you listening?" Seokjin groaned after seeing two of his friends right in front of him.
Taehyung, who was usually interested in this topic, is staring off at a distance while Jimin was worriedly looking at him.
"I am, hyung. They told you comedy was more of your forte so you're feeling bad because you wanted to do drama and you're competing against that team." Jimin continued for him, Jin told them the same story for more than three times, after all.
"How about Tae?" Jin looked at him with anticipation, but he was still on a trance. "Hey, Taehyung? Taehyung!"
"H-Huh?" Taehyung flinched from his seat and looked confused. The other two laughed at his cuteness, and he blushed in embarrassment as a return.
"I know you're always dozing off in class but not when I'm talking to you." Jin sighed as he took a sip from the water bottle he had. "What happened?"
"N-Nothing, I'm just over thinking."
Taehyung didn't lie, of course, there was one thing that was bothering his mind.
How could Jungkook's phone work if there's no signal at the restroom?
"...but probably the signal is just strong..."
Unknowingly to him, he just said his thoughts out loud. Once again, his cheeks heated up so he covered his face to hide it.
"You're so cute Taehyungie~" Jin cooed before standing up and waving away. "I need to meet up with my fellow movie group mates, see you later. And support it on movie week, okay?"
Jimin waved a good bye while Taehyung only gave a nod, since he was still covering his face.
The older one of the two looked at the area they were in, they were walking to their next class. The hallway was empty, so Jimin thought this time was a good chance to ask it.
"Hey, Taehyung..?" he called out, which got the other boy's attention who was removing his hands from his face.
"Y-Yes?"
"On the dorm, I know they held a celebration for new years, and this incoming one, they're having it too. There's fireworks and everything. I was wondering..." Jimin coughed to calm himself before continuing. "D-Do you w-want to be my date and watch it with me?"
