Series of Misunderstandings (2)
"...and that's how I acknowledged the piano as the only person who wouldn't judge me, and would accept me for who I am as I played this sorrowful melody."
Claps from the small audience can be heard echoing around the auditorium as a sad music played to wrap the short film up.
"Thank you very much for that wonderful film, drama team." Namjoon clapped his hands as well as he spoke through the microphone. "That was a great output, scriptwriter and narrator of this film, Min Yoongi." He gave a small wink to his best friend, who was also clapping on how amazing the editing was.
"Woo! That's my best friend!" Hoseok cheered as he gave a standing ovation, which made the other students laugh, including Taehyung and Jimin who were silently laughing at the back. Yoongi had to hold him down before he starts dancing right here and now.
The lights opened once more as the next film is being loaded, people in the auditorium stretched their limbs out and adjusted their seats, and some went to the bathroom for a quick break while the others began eating their snacks.
"You'll definitely win." Hoseok encouranced his friend once more.
"Excuse me, I am also a part of this contest, so he needs to watch out." Eunbi interfered with a small sly grin at the end of her sentence.
"Oh, I forgot you were also a part of this, beautiful." Hoseok leaned outwards to tell her that with a wink. "Sorry but I helped Yoongs with this short film's production, so I'm quite biased. Although, I'm anticipating your output."
She pouted and looked at Jungkook who was staring at Hoseok as well. "Hey, Jungkook. Who do you think is better?"
"I-I'll say my decision once I've seen all of the films." Jungkook replied with a small smile and pointed to the stage.
"You're so cute, kookie!" Eunbi cooed as she leaned closer to pinch his cheeks.
Too close.
Especially for Taehyung's point of view.
"Hey, Tae, are you alright?" Jimin whispered with a nudge. "You're looking down today, what happened?"
"Nothing..." Taehyung replied with a depressed sigh as he looked at his wrist watch.
If he estimates, two more films and this program is over. Yoongi's was one of the last ones, so Jin's would probably be next. He reclined back into his seat and stared at the blank screen.
"Maybe twenty more minutes and this program is over." he muttered to himself.

"Do you want some chips?" Jimin offered as he took them out of his bag. "Good thing I brought some before we went here. I also got you a drink so you won't stand up later on."
"Thank you." Taehyung reached for the salted potato chips Jimin was holding, but then he flinched after hearing a girl's high pitched laugh.
On instinct, they both looked at where the laughs are coming from. Taehyung saw that the other students were giving them disturbed looks because of the noise, while others were laughing along.
Eunbi was laughing as she covered her blushing face and began giving Jungkook light punches.
"And I thought you were young and innocent, how could you conclude that there's a content like that on my film?!"
"Noona, I only asked if your film is for all audiences!"
"But why did you have to whisper it?"
"I see what you're waiting for, Jungkook." Hoseok joked as he let off a loud laugh as well, earning a light hit from Yoongi.
"Lower down your voices, we're on a theater auditorium." Yoongi reminded with a growl.
"B-But I was just curious, isn't their assigned genre; 'historical romance'? And movies with themes like that are..." Jungkook raised his arms in defense as he talked his way with Hoseok.
Eunbi giggled and gave him a back hug from the back. "Heads up, it's just a simple film. There won't be any scenes like what you're thinking right now... but if you want..." she leaned in to whisper something into his ear.
Taehyung was looking at the whole scene unfolding right in front of him. His heart ached after seeing Jungkook's face turning red as he coughed and held the chairs in front of them for support.
His mind was thinking endless theories about what Eunbi could've told him, but based on his boyfriend's reaction, probably something inappropriate.
"I'm just joking!"
"No, I saw on your face that you really meant it, tell me Jungkook, what did she say?" Hoseok stood up to go to their direction but before he could even walk, the lights went dark again and Namjoon's announced the next film, so he had no choice but to sit back down.
"They're best friend goals are they not?" Jimin laughed off as he opened a bottle of cola and passed to Taehyung.
"... yeah." he replied, just to not be disrespectful to Jimin who asked a question.
"From the movie before this, you probably got sad and emotional, so here's another film to balance it out." Namjoon paused to let the audiences' cheers be heard. Taehyung and Jimin silently laughed in their seats as they waited for Jin's appearance on the screen. "Next up is our second to the last film, which is comedy."

Jin, as the main character, had a lot of screen time. From the viewer's perspective, the camera really liked him a lot because he looked ten times cooler and more handsome than he is on person.
Their group's theme were; 'siblings living together in a new neighborhood'. His role was the eldest son. His jokes and facial expression were on point, which made the audience laugh their hearts out.
Although sometimes his 'windshield wiper'- like laugh was funnier than his initial joke. The movie was very funny, but not to the point where it seemed like a 'crack' video, there was an actual story plot going on.
Even with few students, loud laughter echoed around the auditorium. All were giggling, cackling and clapping so loud with every joke to the point where no one was telling them they were being too loud, because the ones who are in charge of warning them were laughing hard as well.
"O-Oh gosh, when he slammed the door and his face looked so--" Taehyung wiped a tear from his right eye and smiled, thanking Jin for making him happy indirectly.
"That's Jin hyung for you." Jimin commented. "He could be a great actor someday."
-
"Thank you for that wonderful film, Kim Seokjin." Namjoon said, his face was still smiling because of the events that happened in the presented film. "Up next in a few seconds is our last film, which is historical drama."
"I feel tired from laughing, my jaw hurts." Taehyung said to no one in particular as he massaged the sides of his cheeks.
"It's a joy to see you laughing so loud earlier, I was so worried that you were depressed today. Good thing Jin hyung's movie helped." Jimin gave an eye smile as he ruffled Taehyung's hair.
"I'm sleepy, Jiminie..." he yawned as he stretched his arms. "All that laughing, the cola and the food, yeah, I want to sleep right now."
"You're that 'eat something and go directly to bed' type of person huh?" Jimin started massaging the other's hands in hope of waking him up, but instead it made Taehyung a lot more sleepy.
Once again, the lights went black and a film played in the blank screen.
"Years ago, in the kingdom that was rarely seen by the people..."
Although some of the audience were looking forward to this genre because it seemed the hardest, it didn't help Taehyung's state, instead, he began drowsing off. His head bowed down slowly as his eye lids were getting heavier by the second.
"Tae..." Jimin called out as he reached for Taehyung's cheek and brought him into his shoulder, giving him a place to rest his head. "I'll just wake you up once this movie is over."
"Mmm..." Taehyung lightly said as a reply.
A few minutes later, the crowd was enjoying the movie for their effects, since the editing is great. Jimin was one of those who enjoyed it, but he admitted to himself that he had fun hearing Taehyung's soft snores up close.
He can't help but to take a look at how handsome he was, his attention from the movie went o Taehyung instead.
"You're maybe a bit hyper and weird but that is your charm... and what I like about you." Jimin said tracing the side of the other's cheek, slowly gliding his hands down to the chin, and his thumb lightly touching Taehyung's parted lips.
"Why are you not interested in me? It just makes me want you even more..."
'The place is dark, we're at the very back and no one could see us.' Jimin said to himself.
Without a second thought, he leaned closer to replace his thumb with his own lips.
Taehyung was lightly surprised and woken up by the sudden warmth against his lips. He was still in a daze, a few moments earlier, he was just having a short dream about him and Jungkook having a date in a proper movie theater.
He was confused, he actually mixed his dream with reality.
Thinking it was Jungkook, he closed back his eyes and started kissing back.
They were both into the moment that they forgot that the movie is finished by now and the lights actually switched back on.
"What the heck are you two doing?!"
