All Apologies (2)

"I-I want to say sorry. I already told the others outside about this, but I want to say sorry personally to you both, Jungkook and Taehyung."

Taehyung opened his mouth to say something. But before he could even speak, Jungkook extended his arm to stop him and shook his head, giving a signal that he will handle this.

"Noona, I don't even know where to start."

Before Jungkook could even start talking properly, was taken aback by Eunbi's sudden action. She did a complete ninety degree bow, and after a few seconds, despite wearing mid length shorts, she bowed down to her knees with her forehead resting on the floor.

"I don't expect you to forgive me, but I just want you to listen to what I say."

Taehyung stood up in concern. "W-Wait, if you crouch down like that, your baby might--"

"T-There is no baby!" Eunbi exclaimed. Her whole body was shaking, as if she was ashamed that threw all of her dignity at that moment. "It... was just a lie. I'm sorry."

"Lie?"

Jungkook walked towards Eunbi, who still hasn't moved from her position on the floor. Taehyung warned Jungkook to stop walking, because his body might not be completely healed yet.

"W-When? When did you start your lie?"

Eunbi pushed her body into a sitting position in order to speak properly. Her eyes were stained with tears, and her lips were trembling. Even though both boys weren't sure if she's genuinely apologizing or not, it looks like she's about to tell them the truth of her lie.

"Ever since that celebration for the new years when you got drunk. You can't even see properly who I was, I thought... that was my chance. I was so stupid and obsessed over you. I recorded my voice that night, making it seem as if you're taking advantage of me when you just fell asleep on your bed shirtless. I stripped down half naked and slept next to you. That's all that happened, I'm so obsessed that I even made up the rumor that I'm pregnant. I even forgot that you were sick and...oh."

Jungkook followed the direction Eunbi was looking at.

"It's okay, he knows."

Clearing her throat, she continued. "I'm sorry, I didn't even consider that the stress I placed you in could be bad for you. Even Namjoon and the others trusted me to also take care of you but... but...

Taehyung shifted from his seat and crossed his arms. "So you made up that something happened between you two? Jungkook didn't take advantage of you, instead, you're the one who took advantage of him?"

"Yes, nothing happened that night."

"Then why did you have to go through that act that Jungkook should marry you?"

"I didn't know that you two were dating. I guess I was just mad that my plan was ruined so my stupid pride had to drag this. But now that I think about it, when I saw you faint on that hallway because of the pressure I placed you in... I came back to my senses."

"I can't forgive you that easily," Jungkook bluntly replied. "But I can't scold you or something, I've also been emotionally unstable at one point. Do the others know about this?"

Eunbi nodded shyly.

"I understand that you've been so desperate, but you just went too far." Taehyung sighed.

"Again, I don't expect you to forgive me, but I'm glad you listened to what I had to say."

Without waiting for a reply, Eunbi silently stood up and left the area without another word.

She passed by Namjoon and the others who were sitting at the emergency room lobby. They all had a 'how did it go' look on their faces.

Instead of answering, once again, she did an apologetic bow and after that, Eunbi left the hospital area. And no news was heard about her ever since.

"As I was saying, Tae..." Jungkook gave him a 'you-know' look. But Taehyung quickly shook his head as a 'no'.

"I will be stubborn this time again. I'll stay by your side."

With a slight smile, Jungkook laid back down on the bed.

"Fine, I'll just rest for now. You should go back home and have some rest too. How's things with your parents?"

"Well, Jin hyung told me everything is turning out okay with the both of them," Taehyung replied. "But I want to stay here and look out for you."

"I know you're worried, Taehyung. But I'm also worried about you."

The look on Jungkook's eyes made Taehyung gulp. He can't help but to follow at his boyfriend's request.

"Okay, I will. I'll visit you again tomorrow." The older exclaimed in a firm tone.

"I think the nurses that looked after me earlier said I'll be transferred to a room upstairs. Just look for me, got it?"

"Yeah, got it," Taehyung held the curtain behind him and smiled. "See you tomorrow."

With a final look at Jungkook before leaving, he was waving his hands goodbye at Taehyung. Though the older couldn't help but to notice tears starting to fall on the other's eyes another time.

"Right, right. There are more patients around this time so we have to take our leave. You can try visiting him again tomorrow."

Taehyung looked up to see the owner of that voice, it was Namjoon who seemed to stay at his spot earlier. He wondered if he heard the last bits of their conversation, but that's not what's important right now.

He nodded and proceeded to exit the hospital with the others who were waiting for him in the emergency lobby.

Seokjin and Taehyung both walked their way to the nearest bus station. The others, Jungkook's friends, went home as well with their own motors and cars that were parked outside the hospital. They've been offered a ride home, but they were too shy to accept the offer.

"Oh, I can already see the bus it's close." Seokjin said.

As Taehyung stared at the bus moving closer to the bus stop where they were, a sudden heavy feeling went onto his whole body and he started to tremble. The other seemed to notice this, and so, curiously tapped him on the shoulder.

"Is everything okay, Taehyung?" he asked with worry.

Taehyung bit his lip and clutched his chest tightly.

"I-I think I'm having a premonition," he continued to quiver. "S-Something tells me I might not see him again."

Seokjin looked at the bus which was already dropping its passengers off. "Do you want to go back to the hospital?" he suggested.

As the last passenger went down, Taehyung's raised his right foot and stepped on the bus' platform.

"He told me I'll see him tomorrow. I should trust his words."

Unknowingly to them both, that was Jungkook's last lie.

The day after that when he rushed back to the hospital to check, his patient name never existed, and Jungkook was no longer there.
