The next day went as always. I slipped on my work uniform and walked to work.

Sherl came up to me and smiled really big. "So, did you call him"

"No", I said "I prefer not to call strange men who give me there number"

A few hours pasted by when I heard the same familiar voice as yesterday.

"I'd like a plain black coffee" he said

I looked up from the computer screen to see it was him .

"Of course" I said

"You didn't call or text me last night" mark said with a frown.

"I didn't know if you was serious about it" I said with my eyebrows raised.

He looked at me with a smirk,"well, call me tonight"

"Oh okay" I said.

He got his coffee and sat down at a table closest to me.

I looked at him curiously. I hope he doesn't stay long. Why is he just looking at me smiling? I thought to myself as I started to notice how red my face was turning.

Bobby, our boss, looks at me and I feel my face turning even redder. He's the kind of guy that likes to tease all the employees and joke around. Especially me I guess cause I'm shy and get embarrassed easily.

"Kate darling" he said in a teasing tone.

He had a scraggly gray turning beard and short gray hair. "Why is it that you are blushing so hard"

Mark noticed me and I looked at him with an expression that i hoped he knew would mean please help.

"Um well.." I started to say to Bobby until I was interrupted by mark

"This coffee is delicious!" he said to bobby "what kind off coffee beans do you use? 5 star coffee shop this is!" Mark said excitedly

"Thank you! The coffee we used is.." Bobby started to say as they walked off. Mark looked back and winked at me.

I smiled really big probably looking a bit dumb.

Maybe he isn't like the other men who just try to get a quick fuck. He seems nice and he looks nice. He just helped me out with an awkward situation that I really didn't want to be in. Hmph it was none Bobby's business why I was blushing anyways.

For the rest of the day I hadn't seen Bobby or mark. I wonder what happened to them.

Emma walked up to me and smiled as always I was kinda in my own little world thinking about mark. While she was saying something about seeing Bobby and mark talking together.

"They seemed like they were getting along" Emma said.

"I'm sorry was was you saying" I said

Emma looked at my annoyed that I wasn't listening the first time "Bobby and mark, I seen them talking about who knows what and they were laughing and smiling. I heard them mention your name tho but I'm not sure what they were saying"

"Oh okay" I told her "do you think mark likes me?"

She looked at me like I was stupid "um duh, he comes in here every day and when your not working he won't even order anything he just leaves"

"I think I might call him tonight" I told her

"You better cause if you wait to long he isn't going to be interested"

When the day was over and I got home. I took a long hot shower and got in some comfortable pajamas.

I picked up the phone with his number in my hand and started to dial his number.

RING-RING RING-RING

"Hello?"
