Camilo woke up, already used to Mirabel's daily bangs on the doors each morning.
He sat up and groggily made his way to fix himself up. Something felt odd, but he couldn't tell what it was.
"Ugh, man." Camilo scratched his back. His eyes shot wide, was that him? "Hello?" His mouth opened slightly as he rushed to look at himself in the mirror, leaning in closer on his chin. Still no sign of stubble, "Dang it." Camilo mumbled.
He looked at himself, he looked the same, but he was taller, and looked... older?
He shrugged it out and shapeshifted to his younger self walking out of his room.
He looked around, the doors were all the same, but different? Hold on... Camilo narrowed his eyes, "Carlos?" He questioned. "What?" He heard someone reply. He jumped looking down to see a boy version of his sister.
"Uh..."
"You good, Tío Camilo"
"Tío?" He questioned. Carlos looked to the side then back at Camilo. "Right. Imma go now." Carols awkwardly pointed somewhere before walking away.
"Camilo! Why are you younger?" He heard his mom yell. "Younger?" He asked looking down to see his mom with a cloud above her head. "Shapeshift back to yourself." She said with a frown. "Uh... right." He let go of the rails looking around for some kind of photo of him he supposedly looked.
He found a photo frame of himself in a suit. It was Dolores' wedding. His mouth dropped open as he shapeshifted back to his present now older Camilo.
"Still shocked about it, huh? It's been 8 years since the wedding as you still can't get over the fact that your sister is married with 5 kids?" He looked up and found Mirabel leaning against the railings while smirking. His mouth was still opened as he stared at her.
"What?" She asked, Camilo closed his mouth and swallowed his spit. "N-Nothing, just...uh, is this how I-?" He moved his hands in a circle motion. Mirabel raised her brow, "You really should stop shapeshifting so much, but yeah." She smiled, patting his shoulder while walking away.
"W-wait! You know I'm always forgetting things, how old are we?" Camilo asked, holding onto Mirabel's shoulder. "Camilo, are you okay?"
"I will be if you answer the question."
"23."
"23...they got married the same year? They had 5 kids in 2 years?!"
"Well, technically one is on the way, so they had 4 kids in two years."
'Oh wait.'
Camilo shook his head, "Um, about, Y/N...?"

Mirabel stared at him with a face. "Have you lost your memory?" She asked, "Uhm, yes." Camilo quickly replied leaving his cousin shocked, "Uh... I'll-I'll let you figure that one out on your own."
Camilo was out in the town, it had gotten bigger, there were taller buildings too.
His eyes widened at the sight of a wagon moving without a donkey hauling it along. There was someone inside. "Man, look at that car." He heard someone say. "Car?" Camilo looked at the car making a right. What year was he in?
He tried searching for you, turning lefts and rights. It was like a maze.
He rounded another corner bumping into someone. "Oh I'm sorry."
"Nah, you're fine, It was my fault anyways."
"...Cecilia?"
"Yo!"
"Man, look at you! You've grown so much!"
"You literally saw me yesterday?"
"Did I?"
"Yeah, I was at your house?"
"Oh right right... uh, have you seen Y/N anywhere by any chance?"
"Y/N? They are where they always are."
Camilo blinked at them.
"The library?" Cecilia said, raising an eyebrow. Camilo continued to stare at the girl. "Ugh," she sighed, "follow me."
Camilo followed close behind the girl looking around, the town had changed, a lot.
"So why are you wanting to look for Y/N all of the sudden?"
"Did something happen between the two of us?" Camilo ignored her question. "Have you lost your memory?"
"Yeah, now tell me the story."
"They town all thought the two of you would get married."
"We didn't get married? What happened?!"
"If you would let me finish. I don't know."
"What do you mean 'I don't know'?"
"I mean I don't know, just one day we stopped seeing the two of you, and eventually Y/N stopped appearing in town. But they got such a huge glow up a couple of years ago-"
"A glow up? W-What do they glow now?"
"Course you don't know- They got prettier."
"Prettier than they already were?"
Cecilia nodded her head. Camilo blushed his imagination running wild of how you would look older.
"Do they hate me by any chance? Y/N, I mean."
Cecilia shrugged her shoulders, "No clue, no one knows, it was something that happened between the two of you. Maybe Dolores knows, you could probably ask her."
They rounded another corner. "Welcome to the Library, sure hope you know your way back because I am not helping you get back-" "That's fine." Camilo cut her off pushing her back as he walked towards the library.

Cecilia watched Camilo walk towards the library, "What the heck." She said running after him. What could she say? She's a very curious one.
Camilo took a deep breath in as his hand reached the door handles. He opened the doors, a high pitched 'ding' was heard as he entered and looked around. He looked around at the shelves filled with books.
At the very back of the store he saw someone open the doors. He panicked, his head turning into a baby's with a mustache as he quickly ran behind a shelf.
He calmed down his nerves, transforming back to his original older self. Quickly peeking around the shelves spotting you.
You were working out something on the front desk, you looked so beautiful. Camilo sighed a lovestruck look on his face as he watched you sniffing sitting down on the stool behind you reading your book.
Camilo looked around. He needed a book.
You read your book lost in its world. You heard a book slide on the desk in front of you. You looked at the green hardcover book before looking up.
You gasped seeing Camilo grin.
Your lips pressed together as you rang up the book telling him the cost of the book, all while avoiding eye contact.
Camilo stood there, his grin slowly fading as he got more and more awkward.
"Are you not going to pay?" You asked him, he jumped quickly patting his pockets, taking a certain amount and giving it to you. "Your mom will love this book. Good choice."
"H-How'd you know it was for my mom?" Camilo questioned, your face dropped, lifting up the cheesy romance book. "Plus you're always coming here buying a book for your mom." You laughed placing the book down in the counter, you slid it towards him.
"Oh. I do?" Camilo lifted to book up staring at the front cover. "You do." You replied, sighing as you leaned your weight on the palms of your hands that rested on the counter. "Anyways, have a nice day." You grinned, Camilo watched you smile, it was forced and sad. He'd never seen a smile on you like that before. "U-Uhm, right... I'll go now." He scratched the back of his neck using the book to motion behind him.
"So~" Cecilia stood next to the door as she followed next to Camilo. "How'd it go?" Camilo looked at Cecilia with a sad expression, his eyebrows furrowed, "I don't know."
He needed to know what he did wrong so he could fix it. But who could he go to that knew?
Lost in thought he didn't hear the questions Cecilia kept asking him.
"Dolores!"
"Wha- Wait! Hold up Camilo!"
"Dolores!" Camilo walked into Casita, he knew his sister was normally hanging out at the house so he wasn't surprised to see her on the couch reading one of her mamas books.
Dolores winced, "What?" She said putting her book down.
"About me and Y/N."
"Not this again."
"I just want to know what I did!"
She let out a little sigh out through her nose, "What you want to know how you totally led them on but went and kissed another girl? Or the fact that you had stood them up on dates, multiple occasions? Or how you would put everything else before Y/N? You were a terrible boyfriend, you don't deserve their forgiveness and quiet frankly I don't think they would forgive you."
Camilo stood there shocked, he did what. "But I would never-"
"It's all been said and done, there's nothing you can do about it now." Dolores shrugged lifting up her book continuing her book from where she last left off.
"Oof. You were one shitty boyfriend, no wonder they dumped you." Cecilia said walking away.
Camilo was left speechless, how could he have done all those things? There's no way this Camilo and 16 year old camilo could be the same person with how they treated Y/N. There's no way. This was all just one nightmare.
He walked away blinking away the tears, there's no way.
He found himself walking downtown, he spotted you walking across the road a bright smile on their face as they ran up to someone holding a bouquet of roses. He watched you give the person a kiss on the cheek, "Wait a second." Camilo narrowed his eyes trying to see in the person was, "Is that- Mateo?!"
Mateo looked over hearing someone call out his name, Camilo hiccupped turning into the first thing that came to mind. "Oh hey Cecilia!" Mateo waved. Camilo looked around nervously, he waved back quickly speed walking out of there.
He held a hand onto his chest feeling his heart rate faster than a humming bird fly.
"Mateo, seriously Y/N?" Camilo scoffed. "I'm way better than him." He pouted, then remembering what Dolores had told him of what grown up Camilo had done to Y/N. "... Well, the me right now anyways, which is the me who is 16 year old and in grownups mes body... that makes sense." He sighed, looking down. "I'm so screwed."
