《His Name Was Tate》day at the mall
Advertisement
Tomorrow couldn't come any faster. I was so excited I could hardly contain it. I never realized how badly I missed the outside world. But now that I'm going out to the mall tomorrow, I have never been happier. Having a normal day out with friends. Me, Becks, Tim, Hell even Mike. And last but not least, Tate. And I would be lying if I didn't say I was ecstatic to have a break from Milly. Sweet lady, boring as hell.
There were conditions though. I had to take my morning treatment earlier than usual, and then right before we left. Also, everyone who was present had to have and inhaler with them and Tim or Becks had to carry my meds for the day. But it was all worth it.
"You ready, mi amor!?" Becks yelled out the window of her car and I couldn't help but laugh.
"I'm ready, mi amiga!" I yelled back.
"Then get you ass in the car!" Tim screamed.
I laugh and made my way in the backseat. And I realized it was only us three. Worry shot threw me. Tate said he had a training and a fight last night?
Did he get hurt?
Why isn't he here?
"Where Tate? Panic was clear in my voice. And I could feel my heart drumming.
"No. No. No. He's fine. Him, Mike, and Dad had to do something today and he forgot. He's okay." Tim rushed out. I was almost convince when that awkward smile appeared on his face.
"Your lying! You always have that weird smile on your face when you lie." I said. Why would he lie? Is it that serious? Why are we going to the mall? We should be going to see him!
"Bebe, you need to calm down. How about we call him?" She said while grabbing her phone and and inhaler out of her bag. She handed me the inhaler and began calling Tate.
"Hello? Heyy. So did you tell Loni you had a fight last night? You did!? Well can you please confirm to her that you are completely fine. That you are at home with you dad and brother doing something and your completely okay. Why? Cause she's freaking a bit and we need her to calm down. Alright." Becks pulled the phone away from her ear and handed it to me. "For you."
I took two pumps of my inhaler before I spoke. "Tate? Are you ok? Where are you? You said you wouldn't make me worry? Did you get hurt? Do we need to come and-"
"Wow. Wow. Wow. Calm down, little bird. I'm completely fine. I swear it. Don't even have a scratch on me." He said cutting me off.
Little bird? That's new. "But Tim was lying."
"I was not!" Tim yelled.
"Whenever you lie, you always have that awkward smile on your face. Like you got caught doing something you shouldn't have been doing." I said.
He seemed like he wanted to say something but couldn't find the words.
"Tim is awkward in life. It's just the way he is." Becks said.
"I am not awkward. I have you know people find me quiet sociable. Actually, I'm probably the most liked Mancini to ever walk the halls of that damn school." Tim said offended.
"Oh yeah and I'm the fucking Queen bee." Becks said sarcastically. The two began to go back and forth and a small smile came across my face.

"Little owl." My attention went back to the phone.
"Yes?" I responded.
"I promise. I'm fine. I'll come visit you later tonight to prove it, deal?" He said.
"Deal." I said.
"Now put me on speaker phone and hand me to Becks." He asked and I did as he told. Becks and Tim were still bickering. Becks reached out for the phone unconsciously and just held it.
"WILL YOU TWO SHUT UP!" Tate screamed from the other side of the phone and I tried my best to stifle my giggle.
Tim went quiet and Becks rolled her eyes.
"Thank you. Now make sure my girl has a great time. Comprende?" Tate said and I could just here the smile in his voice. My girl? Not yet, sweet cheeks.
A smile came over Becks and she rolled her eyes. "Corny bastard. See you later, hermano." She said and hung up the phone. "Now that that's all settled. Shall we depart?" She said in a terrible excuse for British accent.
"We shall!" Tim joined in.
We went every where in the mall. From the antique stores to Aeropostale. Though, Tim kept checking his phone but I ignored it. It might just be his coach. We grabbed snacks. I learned that Tim isn't a big fan of Auntie Annie's, but me? It was my obsession when I was younger, but I couldn't have it that often cause of high sugar and sodium. But Tyler gave me the okay to have one cheat food today and this was gonna be it.
Me and Becks stuffed our faces with pretzels. I got the cinnamon sugar pretzel and Becks got the pepperoni pretzel. Tim just got a cookie and a slushee. He looked at us with a disgusted face. "I will never understands peoples cravings for Auntie Annie's. They aren't even that good." He said as he bit into his cookie.
"You just haven't found your right pretzel, my young padawan. But once you do, it will open up a whole new world to you. And we will be there to guide you." I said as I brought my arm over Becks shoulder.
"Never. I'll stay on the dark side." Tim said dramatically.
Becks pulled from my embrace and turned dramatically to Tim. "Stupid you are. Good is pretzel. Foolish is you." She said in her best Yoda impression. We laughed our way threw the mall and had a blast.
Once we were done with the pretzel, we made our way to a gown shop. "Oooh let's go in here and try on some dresses!" Becks squealed. She pulled me and Time without a word from us.
I had no clue what I was doing. So I just started pulling out dresses that I thought looked cute. When I had a arm fool of dresses, I walked over to Becks.
"Jesus! You found a lot. Are all of them your size!" She asked, pulling a few off for herself.
"I actually don't know my size." I said.
"Ay dios mio! Okay, let's put these down and have you sized." She said taking the mountain of dresses from my hand. And pulling over to the counter where some of the employees worked.
"Can one of you guys measure her?" Becks asked sweetly.
One of the girls nodded and made her way to us with a measuring tape. After some very close touching, we went out to find dresses that were the appropriate size.

"Hey, where's Tim?" I asked
"He's in the men section. He's gonna play model with us and pick out some tuxes." She said. "When we're done picking out some dresses we'll go over and help him. I doubt he'll know what he's doing too." She said with a smile.
I found three dress that I was completely in love with a and was ready to try on. Tim and Becks found three fits as well. We went into dressing rooms side by side and began to try on the first fit.
"Ready. Set. Out!" Becks screamed.
The three of us stepped out and stared at the mirrors that were directly in front of our stalls. Tim wore white shirt with a dark blue coat, pants, and bow tie to match. It fit him snuggly, making his muscles more noticeable.
"Damn! I look good." He said as he began to brush him self off.
"And so do I." Becks said. She wore a light blue strapless on top and the sleeves cuffed below her shoulders. It was a frilly dress and really girl but it made her look like a fairy.
"I'm not too bad myself." I honestly thought I looked pretty. I wore an emerald green mermaid dress that fit me snuggly. Helping showing off the little curves I had. The sleeves were a little off the shoulder but not too low.
"First round...."Tim said.
"Success!" We yelled together.
We moved onto our second picks and this batch had mixed reviews. Tim hated this tux on himself. It was a light blue tux that fit him the way the last one did. Though he didn't like it me and Becks thought it complimented his complexion well.
"No. This shit ain't it. I look like a sick smurf." He said and we couldn't help but laugh at his description.
"Yeah well I'm two for two, baby!" She said. She wore a dark purple dress that fit tight at the top but the bottom was puffy. It reminded me of a modernized princess dress. It went well with her complexion and made her chest pop.
Sadly, I hated the way my second pick looked on me. "I hate mine too." I said. Belle was always my favorite princess and I fell in love with the yellow ball gown. It looked almost identical to the one Belle wore. But it did not look good on me. "I look like a rotten banana." I said with a scrunched up face.
We all laughed. And went into the final fits. And this time it was reversed. Me and Tim loved our last picks but Becks hated hers.
"I don't know why I picked this up." She said hiding behind her hand. It was a orange mermaid dress that slowly faded to yellow at the bottom. It didn't look terrible, but it wasn't her best picks. It did show her curves pretty well.
"Ha! Suck to be you. Cause me! Yeah. The is the one." He took a spin and began to do a jig. He wore one of those male corset vest and a tie to match with a white button up. It was snug against him and made him look a lot bigger. It was a beautiful dark green with a gorgeous silver embroidery on it. With white laces and black pants. He did in fact look handsome.
I however stood speechless. I was utterly and completely in love with the dress I was wearing. It's was a crimson red dress. The top was a corset, while the bottom spilled elegantly over my hips, with split in the middle, where one of my legs peeled out at. The sleeves were long sleeves but they were loose and got looser as they got lower.
"I love it." I said to myself.
"You look beautiful, Angel." Tim said with a smile.
"Yeah, that's my favorite one on you." She said with a smile. Then her gaze shifted to her self in the mirror. "I look like a fucking orange." She said disgruntled. She turned on her heels and put in the first dress.
"This is the one." She said with a wide smile. The light blue frilly dress.
"Make you look like a fairy." I said.
"We gotta get these." Tim said excitedly.
"And where them where?" I said with a chuckle.
"Doesn't matter where. Just to have them." He said.
I stared at myself. God I did love this dress. But was I even gonna wear it.
"We're getting them. We look to good not too. Stop thinking, bebe. Just go with the flow." Becks said.
I looked at her. Should I?
"Excuse me! Can you ring these three up, here's the card." Said Tim.
My eyes widen. "Wow! Wait! You don't have to-"
"Shush, Angel. I'm feeling like a philanthropist. Shit. I might be sugar daddy today. Cause I need the full fit of this, and if I'm getting the full fit, so you." He said refusing to take his eyes off himself.
"But I-"
"Don't argue. He just just he was gonna give a free stuff. Shush!" She said. "Now let's get back in her and change, and then we can find some shoes and accessories." She said clapping.
I nodded.
Once we were dressed. I was still a little bothered that Tim was paying for everything.
"Stop it!" Tim said. "It's not my money, it's my dads. And he's a dick. So technically, this is him getting good karma for helping us be sexy today. And he needs all the good karma he can get." Tim said with a smile and kissed the top of my head.
I nodded. I still bothered me a bit but I didn't want to ruin the mood. I'll just pay for the shoes and accessories.
Tim literally paid for everything, well Mr. Mancini did.
We got shoes, necklaces, earrings, hair stuff and he even paid for our nails. We picked each other nail color. Tim got black, but I made him get some designs. Becks got me red and Tim got her blue.
Then we walked pass a sephora and Tim and Becks shared an evil look.
"What?"
"Let's get our make up done." She said.
"Yeah. You guys would look so cute. Make match you nails." Tim said.
"Ummm your getting yours done too." Said Becks.
"Wow! Hold up. I am no-" before he could finish, she had already started dragging us in the store.
Oh dear god.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
