《My BadBoy》Chapter 7: Girl talk

I didn't know what to do with myself.
There was a sleeping man in his room, tired from whatever he's been doing all night. His best friend just saw me naked a few minutes ago and Richwood University officially starts tomorrow, on a monday. God I hate mondays.
I hope everyone doesn't immediately hate me since I'll be a loner. I know I consider Jackson —a guy I just met yesterday— a friend, but there is no way i'm sitting at lunch alone with him and his little buddies. And Aiden, don't get me started on him because he saw me....well you already know now.
I need to go out, I decided and went in my room to change, since Jackson won't give me a tour i'll just go myself. I slipped on a pair of black shorts and a baby blue tank top and my flip flops. Whoever wants to judge me can go screw themselves. That phrase actually got me through high school.
After writing Jackson a quick note I opened the door and slipped outside. As I walked on the grass where a lot of students were hanging out I realized R.U is a pretty big place. The school itself has a total of eight different building all of them has more than one floor but the dorm on campus is kind of small, it has three buildings. I remember driving past the off campus dorms about five minutes before I got here, that on the other hand is huge.
I smiled at a college student pushing a cart with bunch of mini snacks and other stuff, the sign in front said it was a fundraiser of some kind so I bought a pack of twizzlers. Finding an empty spot away from everyone, I sat under a tree and closed my eyes taking in my freedom away from my mom.
Oh crap my mom.
I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed the familiar number. Please don't pick up, please don't pick up, please don't pick up...

"About time". Someone's sharp high pitch voice snapped on the other end of the line.
I sighed. " Mom i'm sorry I forgot to call you".
" Whatever, you're just lucky I don't cancel your admission and make you come back home where I can keep a close eye on you". She said is a mock sweet voice which pissed me off.
" Goodbye mom". I didn't want to say something i'd regret. She's been like this all my life and it's never going to change.
" Wait— did you speak to your father yet or....did he send you someone". Her voice was low. What? my father?
"Uh...no. Mom I haven't talked to my dad in years and why would he send someone, who—".
She interjected. " I've said too much already...bye hon, don't forget the postcards!".
Over my dead body.
I leaned back against the tree. Ever since I got here it seemed like my life has changed forever, meaning no one to bother me, no more crying myself to sleep at nights because my mom got a botox and is cranky from the pain. Why can't life be easy for everyone?
"Are you okay?". Someone asked above me. I looked up to see a girl around my age with golden blond hair and icy blue eyes staring down at me.
" Yeah, I'm fine". I got up to face her and noticed she's around the same hight as me.
"Well,". She had a concerned look on her face. "You're crying".
Crap. " Oh...sorry". I dried my tears with my fingers and wiped them on my shorts.
It's just water.
" Who is it?". She asked catching me off guard.
"Excuse me?". I met her gaze.
"Is it Jackson that jerk, I saw you walking with him yesterday,". She grabbed my hand and began dragging me somewhere. " C'mon let's cut off his dick".
I froze. "W-What?...um, Jackson's just my roommate. I was crying because of my mom".
She stopped and turned around to face me. " Oh god i'm such a bitch, sorry, I saw you together and you were about to kiss, and you guys looked really cute and then I saw you crying so I thought—".

I blushed. " When were we about to kiss?".
She smiled. " I wasn't being a creep or anything, I was just unpacking and it was right in front of the main office...so I walked around the back".
When he was telling me the rules... I wonder who else saw?
" Oh...no we're...not together...". I muttered, feeling a little weird. I never talked about boys to another person before.
" Well you obviously like him so we'll make it happen,". She smirked and held out her hand. " I'm Sadie by the way, Sadie Green".
I smiled and shook it. "Nice too meet you, I'm Ashley. Ashley Sunshine".
"Well at least I have One friend at this prison". She sighed as I followed her to a nearby bench.
"What do you mean?". I asked eating another twizzler.
"I had a bestfriend but...". She hesitated.
I looked up. " It's okay, you can trust me".
She nodded and snatched a twizzler from my pack. " I love these,". She laughed at my feeble attempt to stop her, it's sad really. " Anyway, My ex best friend Roselyn slept with my boyfriend of two years Pete".
What the what?
" You're not still dating him are you?". I had to ask.
" No,". She shook her head then started sobbing. " He's dating Roselyn now because I wouldn't let him...". She stopped again and we were quiet for a few minutes. She didn't have to tell me I can practically guess the rest because It's kind of similiar in a way to my situation. So her boyfriend is dating Roselyn now because Roselyn slept with him and i'm guessing Sadie is still a virgin and wasn't ready yet.
I broke up with Andrew because we never did anything, and It didn't really feel like a relationship. He was probably sleeping around too. Most likely. " I know how you feel...".
She sighed. " I'm not crying because he cheated, i'm long past that...I set his car on fire and poked a hole in his condoms".
I choked. " You what?".
" My dad's a sheriff so they managed to look past the car thing,". She laughed. " He really loves his little girl".
" So,". I bawled up the twizzler wrapper and threw it in the trash. " Is she preggers then?".
"Hell yeah she is!". She yelled attracting weird looks from people and I couldn't hold back my laughter. With her long blond hair, icy blue eyes and bow shaped lips, along with her great personality, Sadie can get any guy she wants. I'm sure of it.
" Wait,". I started when my laughter seized. " So why were you crying?".
She couldn't meet my eyes. " I went to this highschool party and got drunk...I woke up the next morning with a terrible headache and extreme soreness...I slept with a complete stranger, I'm no better thank Roselyn...he could've had a girlfriend".
" You are nothing like her,". I walked over and gave her a hug. " Unlike her you were drunk and couldn't control it, and if that guy has a girlfriend he has equally the same amount of blame as you —if not more".
She smiled up at me. "Thank you".
After that we talked a little about anything, and everything...even my tiny crush on Jackson. Apparently he's got quite some reputation at this school. Sadie laughed when I told her I don't curse and we experimented and found out the longest she can talk without swearing is five minutes and fifteen seconds. We were just exchanging numbers when a familiar voice spoke behind me—
"What the heck, Vanilla bean?".

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
