Toriel took her in as her own, but since 2 of her children died before she wanted to make sure Kitty didn't leave the ruins. Her siblings Frisk and Kris was also longing to leave the ruins. Eventually they convinced Toriel that it wouldn't be bad to leave the ruins, they promised to come back. Once they left the ruins they travelled all over the underground and made friends with all the monsters who lived.
One day, Kitty started to hear voices, she ignored them but a couple of days later she struggled to ignore them and soon they brainwashed her making her listen to what they were saying. They were telling her to kill which started her first genocide.
Once she got to the judgement hall, her friends Sans challenged her to a duel. As soon as Kitty released what she was doing she spared Sans and sacrificed herself so that she could reset and the underground would be normal again.
She left the underground and went to the surface. She killed you guys because the voices probably brainwashed her into doing so.
But all of that was when she had a determination soul. Now that you guys killed her she has a hate soul and now won't spare anyone that gets in her way."
I finished talking and looked up to see the aphmau crew in tears, the ones who were crying the most were Zane, Kim and Noi.
"So for the whole time we knew her she was already dead?"
"Yes, yes she was"
"Look Chara was it? We are sorry for killing Kitty, if we knew she was dead we wouldn't have killed her"
