《My Alpha's Fairytale》Chapter 34

Eva's POV
I never thought that a person could wake up with a fixed grin on his face, at least not until I did.
Opening my eyes and regaining control, I felt a heavy arm draped on my torso and someone's breath fanning my neck. I knew exactly who the person sleeping behind me was. My back was stuck against his chest and I could feel the rise and fall with every breath he took.
I felt my cheeks redden in embarrassment when I remembered last night but then I turned around to face a peacefully sleeping Logan.
With a wide smile, I cupped his cheeks and kissed him softly on the lips, hoping he'd wake up.
However, Logan didn't even stir. I never knew that he was such a heavy sleeper.
I poked his nose. "Logan." I called in a low, sing-songy voice but also nothing.
I kept on trying to wake him with several other methods but he only mumbled a single 'just five more minutes' before dozing off again. He didn't even open his eyes once!
I did everything from poking him, to tickling to yelling and shaking but still nada.
With a sigh, I left the bed, had a warm soothing shower, got dressed then made my way to the pack house.

Logan's POV
I opened my eyes groggily as the sun rays hit me straight in the face.
I turned around and reached for Eva only to feel an empty bed sheet under my arm.
I immediately jolted out of bed with wide awake eyes.
"Eva!" I called out but heard no reply.
I quickly left the bed and went to check for her.
I searched everywhere, the bathroom, the kitchen, the living room downstairs, even the front patio but nothing.
I began to panic so I decided I should check the pack house before jumping into conclusions.
I quickly put something on and practically ran to the pack house.
Upon opening the door, I heard a loud squeal and then the sound of running footsteps coming from the second floor and making their way towards he stairs.
"Logan!" Eva yelled as she ran down the stairs. She had a panicked look on her face as she ran towards me and clutched onto my body tightly.

Without a second thought, I wrapped my arms around her.
"What's wrong baby? Are you okay?" I didn't get the chance to hear her reply before I heard someone yell from upstairs.
"Eva! Come back here!" One of the twins yelled and soon both of them made an appearance at the top of the stairs.
They glared at Eva when their eyes met her frame.
They started running down the stairs and towards her.
I quickly pushed Eva behind me and stood protectively infront of her as I growled loudly at the approaching twins.
They stooped right infront of me and sighed deeply.
"Logan, please let us talk to Eva. We'll only talk." One of the twins said. Eva tightened her grip on my shirt which made me more mad at the twins.
"What do want to talk with her about?" I asked.
"We just want our cookies back." The other twin replied as he glared at Eva's head that popped from behind me. She quickly pulled her head back and buried it in my back.
Wait a minute....what?
"What?" I asked in confusion. Maybe I didn't hear right.
"We want our cookies back." The twin repeated.
"No way! Finders keepers, losers weapers!" Eva yelled from behind me, giving me no chance to answer.
"It was in our room!" Both the twins gasped in unison.
"Under the bed!" Eva retorted. "It was the ants' share so I decided to eat it instead!" She told them firmly.
"It's still ours and we want it back." One of the twins retorted, standing his ground.
I inwardly face palmed myself. I was worried and thought the twins were really trying to hurt Eva only to find out that she took their cookies? I'm out of here.
"Eva, baby." I called as I stepped to the side and pulled her next to me. It was then that I realised the plastic bag that had the chocolate chip cookies in her hand.
She looked at me with hopeful eyes.
I sighed. "You can just take people's cookies like that. It's wrong." I said looking in her eyes.

Eva gave me a weird look that screamed 'what-the-eff' in my face.
"If you give them their cookies back I'll tell you a secret that would make you really happy." I continued ignoring the look on her face.
"You wanna know what the secret is?" I asked as I leaned forward to whisper in her ear. She nodded and that made me move closer.
"Run." I whispered with a smirk. The next thing I know, Eva was running straight outside the pack house.
The twins gasped at her sudden escape but waisted no time in running after her. I heard Eva's squeal from outside and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"So you finally marked her?" My head snapped towards Jake and Taylor who were standing there with smug looks on their faces.
I grinned at them and nodded.
"Man you're whipped!" Taylor teased and I slightly pushed his shoulder.
"Shut up." I replied with a small chuckle, making them laugh as we entered the kitchen.
Jake, Taylor and I were eating toast and drinking coffee in the kitchen as we talked when the twins entered the kitchen with scowls on their faces that turned to glares once they saw me.
"So I'm assuming that you guys never got your cookies back?" I teased them with a smirk.
"Your mate took advantage of her camouflaging ability to buy her some time to luck every, single one of them." One of the twins said with annoyance.
I raised my eyebrows at that before looking at an amused looking Jake and Taylor before we soon broke out into a series of laughter.
"Yeah, yeah, very funny." The other twin muttered.
"What's funny?" Eva's soft asked from the kitchen doorway. She had the bag if cooked clutched in one hand and the other held a cookie on which she was munching on.
I extended my arm for her to reach and come closer.
I wrapped my arm around her waits and in one swift movement, placed her on my lap.
The twins averted their glaring from the toast to Eva who just shrugged them off.
"Eva," I called out making her look at me. "I want to take you out on a date tomorrow. What do on say?" I asked.
Her face lit up brightly and her grin extended from ear to ear as she nodded happily.
"You know Logan, I've always wanted to g-" I clamped my hand over her mouth, stopping her before she completed her sentence.
"Oh no, you're not doing this to me again. This time, I'll decided where our date will be and it'll surprise you." I told her quickly. Last time, I wasn't asked be to surprise her because of the stunt that she pulled but not his time.
Eva pouted when she realised that her plan to know where we were going failed.
I pecked her pout, making it disappear.
I'm definitely going to surprise her.

King Maxwell's POV
I was sitting in my office going through attack strategies and different types of maps that will help me in getting Sophie.
With her power, I'll be stronger and be able to rule the werewolf world. Our children will be invincible as they'll inherit their mother's powers.
I knock on the door made me snap my head towards it.
"Come in." I answered and soon, the person behind the door entered.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "How is the plan for getting the princess working out?" I asked firmly.
"Good, but I have something better." He replied. I looked at him in confusion.
"What could possibly be better than an elemental werewolf, Drake?" I asked with asked raised eyebrow.
Drake smirked and replied with a smug tone. "A fire breathing Gumiho, your highness."
*****************
