《Hidden》Chapter 49

David and Emma walked hand-in-hand until they both couldn't hear the booming voices of the crowd. Emma was the first to let go, her hand losing the warmth.
"Well that was an interesting topic to choose." David said, his ears still red from the event that just passed. His heart was beating fast, his speech fast and stumbly.
"It was the first thing that came to mind, besides, I didn't think little sister worked out too well because of us being so close together in age." Emma looked around the halls, tanks of glowing blue water built inside. Different coloured fish littered the water and flaunted their colours, all swimming elegantly.
The two continued to walk through the hallways, the rooms so space out that it was unnecessary. Once David and Emma got to the third room, he pulled out a silver key from his pants pocket.
He twisted the key, the satisfying click of the lock moving back inside the door. David let Emma I first, the girl thanking him with a smile. Fish tanks just like the ones from earlier was also in David's room, but the glass was a bit foggy.
"Do you like it? All the tanks are connected with each other so the fish can go anywhere. I've been trying to get them to come to my room, but the only things that ever float through them is seaweed." David said, his light blue eyes also mesmerized by the fish.
"Maybe you could feed them." Emma offered. David shook his head.
"No way to do that, there's no top for the tanks, so no way to feed them." David layed on his king side bed, the other side of the blue mattress looking lonely.
"This is truley an existential crisis." David groaned. The childish male placed a pillow on his face, blocking his eyes from the girl in front of him. Emma thought for a moment, maybe the fish already had food inside the tanks, but all of it was settled on the bottom.

The Brunette pressed her hands on the glass, but immediately took them off. The glass was cold, freezing almost. It wasn't foggy at all, the fog was actually frost.
"Fuck David, do you think you can make the water any warmer?" Emma complained. The blue haired male groaned, not moving from his bed.
"But I don't wanna...." The words were muffled and lost under the pillow. Emma stared at him with a blank face, her grey eyes showing boredom. The girl walked over to the bed where David was laying, the male had no clue she was there. Emma cracked her knuckles, hoping for the best.
She began to tickle him.
Of course, there was two ways that could have played out, either David was ticklish, and Emma would convince him to warm the water, leaving the girl victorius, or, David would simply lay there, and things would get awkward.
Thankfully David was weak against tickling. His body reflexively moved away, but Emma was persistent, and she continued to tickle him. David tried to move to the other side of the bed, the pillow he was using to cover his face now thrown Somewhere else in the room.
David was now on the center of the bed, Emma just barley on the edge. There was contagious laughter floating around the room, and all the stress and pressure had floated away.
"Just warm up the tank!" Emma said, her hands moving to tickle the weak spots. David tried his best to defend himself, but when a girl knew how tickle people, it was hard to fight back.
"N-no! I will n-never fall for your tricks!" The male replied with laughter. He decided it was time to end this tickle war, and when Emma took a speedy break to try another spot, he grabbed her hands, quickly immoblizing her. David pinned her hands to the bed, making the girl face him as he hovered above her. Both of them were oblivious of the position they were in, the joy clouding the dirty parts of their minds.

This time, David began to tickle Emma, returning the laughing fit to her. She squirmed underneath him, her arms still pinned from David's gentle grasp. She tried her best to hold on the laughter, but it was too much. Emma laughed and laughed until her stomach hurt, and when David began to stop, she was panting.
"Jeeze David that was unfair, I couldn't move my arms and you could." Emma complained. David moved his arms from her hands to beside her head, the brunette now looking up.
David's light blue eyes were staring a Emma, his eye's staring at every detail of the girls face. The heat of the room seemed to become warmer as the two stared at each other for a while.
"David, are you going to warm the tank up?" Emma asked, her eyes filled with mischief. David smiled, crawling off of her. He slid off the bed and walked over to the wall, the glass as cold as Emma described. David focused on the small particles of the water and began to violently shake them, stirring the water and making it warmer.
The frost on the glass was beginning to melt, and Emma crawled off the blue bed herself, putting her hands against the glass. David focused on the water, trying to keep his eye's away from the brunette.
"Look." Emma gasped. Fish was starting to appear, their different coloured scales glowing from the lighting.
David stopped heating the water, his focus now of the fish. Emma was like a child, her hands squishing her cheeks to represent the fish's face.
"Emma why...?" The blue haired male asked. Emma smiled, making a blub sound with her lips.
"Becuase I'm a kid in the inside, now don't mess with me, or I'll tell on you." Emma giggled, her grey eyes locked on the fish. So many colors, so many shapes and sizes, just like in society.
"Hey, it's getting late, supper should be soon."
Emma groaned, she didn't want to go back to her room upstairs, she would rather avoid all elites at all costs, no matter how painful their lasts were.
"Um, David, do you have a couch here?" Emma asked, plan B now in action.
"Uh yeah, it's in the other room." David replied, a bit confused with the question. Emma walked into the other room David had pointed too, he eyes scanning to whole place. She found multiple pillows and a few blankets. She tore the lovely prepared and nice smelling pillows and blankets off and onto one couch, just big enough to it her body.
Making a bed, the girl stood by her masterpiece and looked at David waiting for approval. He just looked at her weirdly, but then a flicker of understanding shone in his eyes.
"Fine." Was all he said. Emma fist pumped the air, her plan to avoid the elites now in action.
The old rustic clock chimed, it's small bird peeking out and squealing six times, signalling the dinner was in fifteen minutes.
