《Hidden》Chapter 70

"Boy, are you looking to heal that man?" The voice asked. Both heads tuned to the source of the patient sound. An old lady with major wounds appeared next to David, looking at the headmaster. The two didn't have time to respond when she spoke again. "He seems like he has much to say before he dies. Perhaps you can heal him with the right people."
"The only way I can heal him without including harmful damage on me or Emma is with another person, and I don't see anyone willing to die just yet." He said while allowing his hands to glow. His healing magic was making people do hilarious double-takes, but that didnt stop many of the more fear-stricken mages.
"Yet there is one person in front of you. With just my body you can heal most injured people here, save many lives. Your little friend may not have magic, but she has quite an influence on you." She laughed as a blush creeped up David's neck. He kept his gaze away from the brunette as he focused on the bike woman.
"I can't do that to you. Taking a life is not something I want to do ever again." David said to the old lady. The woman smirked, holding onto David's shoulder in preparation.
"You're simply saving me from my future fate. Whether it be from natural causes, or from one of those creatures our their, I'd rather save a life at the cost of my own."
"I-"
"You can. Please." The lady began to plead. Her green eyes shone with determination, her wrinkles showing she had a happy life full with her smiles. David winced as the headmaster shook once more, Emma kneeling in front of the injured man and holding his hand. David nodded, looking at the old lady with sorrow. But her gaze held nothing but happiness. David's hands glowed, letting the old lady lie down as he began to work his magic.

Headmasters wounds were being healed and his bleeding stopped. Scabs were falling out like rain and both students tried to ignore the old ladies gasps of pain. But her smile never left her face, her soul content with her choice to save another. Once the headmatwr was healed, his skin instantly brightened, and his breathing steadied. By now, the old lady had begun to bleed, but she was prepared for more. Emma tried her best to carry the headmaster, but she only managed to carry him to Aqua's resting body. The dragons neck twisted to wrap around the headmaster, protecting the resting man with her life. Emma gave a silent thanks as another woman walked up to David, her disfigured daughter in her arms.
The woman explained that she had practically tossed around in the creatures jaws, and she only made it out when her perfume bottle was punctured and poured into ths creatures mouth. The girls body was torn and one of her bleeding arms were hanging from a socket. Emma gaged as she shied away from that sight, looking for any more injured.
David let the mother place the girl on the ground, David placing one hand on the girls chest and the other on the old ladies hand. She wasn't gone yet, and she still had that smile planted ink her face. David worked again, silently questioning where Emma was, but looked away as he felt the little girl twitch. Her healing was faster then headmasters, and David's glow of magic was begging to ease.
One after another, David used his magic, even finding anothe healing mage to help him. But now the old woman was now gone, but a colourful slik blanket covered her body. David's eyes made sure not to look, or else he knew he wouldn't sleep that night. When Emma came back, she had supplies that could be carried in Comet's small packs on his saddle. Mostly water was their, but some dry snacks like jerkey and bread were also in her arms. She quick stuffed the bags of supplies with Aqua before dashing over to David, his eyes tired as he worked on one of the last few people. She placed her hand on his shoulder, and he flinched at the contact, stopping his healing for a little bit before working on the person once more. His light blue eyes looking up at Emma.

She smiled, offering some support as she sat next to David, arms brushing. The blue haired male never looked away as he finished healing the final person, making sure to be careful not to look away from Emma. He was lost in the girls eyes, swirls of grey that shimmered in a rainbow, yet held some darker swirls that were almost black.
This girl wasn't affected or scales on her powers, and yet she wasn't wasting her life or becoming a magic-crazed beast. He lifted his hand to tuck a stray strand of hair behind the girls face, looking at the girls features as a blushed formed on her face. Emma looked away and towards the old lady, her possibly now disfigured body covered with a silk cloth that hid hundreds of people's wounds.
"Do you think she regretted it?" David asked Emma. He turned his head to face the girl, his eyes scanning her face for any trace of doubt.
"No, she was smiling the whole time. She gave her life for the others, and she loves a long enough life that could have ended worse. In a way, you helped her." The girl slid her hands along David's back in a soothing mammer, trying to make him stop his false doubts.
"I kept seeing you there Emma, I saw you sacrificing yourself for the headmaster, and it was so hard to press on knowing that it was you who was dying." He said with a whisper. Aqua whimpered from a few feet away as she tried to speak with him, but David didn't hear any reasoning.
"I would probably do that David, but I would only do it for the people that I love. Only then will I sacrifice myself for others." She said with a sad tone. She held the boys face in her hands as she made him look at her, his light blue eyes had dulled. "Now let's get some rest.

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.

Time And Thoughts
This a book is where I freely express and convey emotions and my thoughts about topics. It's a place where I spend my TIME putting my THOUGHTS into words in hopes of helping someone. I've written these poems in such a way, so that my viewers can derive their own meaning from them. For me as a person I tend to feel more comforted, when down, by listen to music or reading poems, in which the poem or song is hopeless and gives off the feeling of the protagonist being bluntly hurt. In my poems I write without words of encouragement, but instead comfort the reader through understanding and allowing them to feel.If you ever feel the need to talk to someone or want to know the meaning of one of my poems or just wanna say something feel free to comment or private message me.Please enjoy and be comforted by my book.Highest ranking:#1 poems#1 poembook#2 poemcollection#2 poem#3 poetry#3 poetrycollection#5 sadpoems#5 thoughts#8 emotions#13 freeverse#17 hopeless#20 feelings#24 sadness#36 depressing #44 updating#56 life#70 sad#87 poet
