《Hidden》Chapter 96

David had been waiting for days, growing inpatient and frustrated as the days went on.
That very day, Jasmine had gone off to find something edible for them, leaving both friends on their own to converse. Peter wanted to say something, but the fear in his heart told him otherwise. As for David, his eyes were still watching the barrier that separated them from Emma. The blue haired male was also questioning where the large silver dragon Comet was, but with no apparent signs that he was even there, David assumed he too was captured.
A ripple from the barrier sparked up his heart, calling for him to run to the disturbance. Peter noticed David's sudden speed, closely following him without hesitation.
The two ran for what seemed like hours, searching the perimeter for any sort of person or creature that had just passed the barrier. With nothing appearing out of the ordinary, the two males halted their running and stood miles away from the camp they had set up. Now alone, Peter opened his mouth to speak.
"David," Peter whispered. The blue haired male looked back to his friend, his heart still profusely beating, "There's-"
David cut him off by placing his hand over the other males lips, blue eyes fiercely staring at a hint of movement ahead. Peter's heart sunk, but he prepared his magic without a further thought.
The two walked slowly through the bush as they tried their best to keep their presence unknown. David and Peter froze when they heard a voice ahead, one quaking as it spoke to another.
"Commander Thunder, you must understand we don't have any girl in our possession, so your claim cannot be acted upon." A male voice said with reluctance. The owner of the voice was clearly speaking to a higher power, the hint of respect in his voice showed that much. Another voice decided to argue against the first, the voice too familiar.

"Me and my fellow travellers have tracked her whereabouts to here, solider, so tell me again that king Eric hasn't commanded you to capture a small girl, tell me that you aren't lying." Jasmines voice spoke clear and strong, a voice that was used to controlling other mages with heavily placed order. David flinched as Peter's eyebrows furrowed, the red heads face mixed with confusion and anger from betrayal.
"I swear on my magic that we have no girl, nor a giant silver dragon. We have been keeping out of sight just as we agreed to with the light walkers, and have not brought any outsiders into our home." The man said. The two waited for a response from Jasmine with tension in the air. After a few seconds of heavy silence Jasmine sighed and walked away, leaving what David assumed was a night walker to be alone and continues his duty elsewhere.
With a small disturbance in the leaves, David quietly approached the previously mentioned man with caution, keeping the barriers distance close enough to him just in case. The shadow walker seemed not to move since his talk with Jasmine, in fact, he seemed drained from the whole conversation that just took place. David's heart was beating fast as he approached the dark-haired man, the feeling of betrayal bubbling in his stomach. Jasmine had known these people, she knew how to get inside, but she didn't say anything!
With a flare of anger, David shot out of the trees and towards the shadow walker, his arms quickly wrapping around the other male in attempt to lock him in place. The older man let out a yelp as David firmed his hands behind his back, immobilizing him. Peter was slow to follow David out the trees, but when his friend shouted at him to knock the man out, he didn't hesitate, the red-head grabbing a nearby rock and smashing it against the man's head to send him unconscious.

The blue-haired male let the body go limp in his arms, mentally calling Aqua over with the rope in her pack.
"We think we may have found into the shield." David said with a frown. Aqua sent a glad feeling back, but David know it was forced, the feeling was stretched, it wasn't real.
It took mere minutes for Aqua to travel through the trees, her slim body easily weaving though the wood that sprouted from the ground in intricate weaves. The Dragon plopped on her belly and allowed David to gather the rope from the small satuchule around her hip, the male tying the shadow-walkers hands and feet together in order to keep him in their possesion. This man was their only way though the portal, and whether Jasmine was on the other side of not, they would get Emma, and Comet back from them.
"David, we'll see them soon." Peter said to his friend. David let himself smile, his face turning to his friend.
"I hope so, Peter, it's not the same without us all together." Both the males were smiling, a small hint of ease floating between the two. David mounted his Dragon with the limp body dangling in front of him. Peter hopped on behind David and waited for Aqua to move.
The light blue Dragon was quick through the trees, her body easily making her way though the woods. Peter had called Joel to let him know that they were almost back, and the red Dragon responded with a growl of unease.
"Jasmine had come back from her hunt with a deer to prove her story, the man you carry is a danger to both us, and much more." Joel had carefully prodded Jasmines dragon, Electra, for any clue that she had been here before, and if they knew the shadow walkers. The electric Dragon had responded with a suspicious anwser, a riddled response that was not easily deciphered by the red Dragon.
'With the coming of the end, we must find old friends and hope for our survival then. Jasmine is no traitor, but to which side is for you to decide.
