《Cupid's Potion》Chapter 24: He's a host

😊
I told the group that I would meet up with them later at the hotel. They were hesitant at first but let me go.
I look around with Scooby peeking out his head from my bag and soon enough I spot Tamaki.
"Tamaki!" I say waving a hand trying to get him to notice me. I see him turn around and his eyes immediately light up.
"Y/n!" He gets off of his seat and runs towards me, I was then suffocated between his arms as he spun me around in delight.
"Tamaki remember there is something called oxygen and I need it right now." I say faintly on a brink of fainting but recovered quickly once he let me go.
"I'm sorry y/n it's just I haven't seen you in so long and I miss my love." He says lovingly, it sounds like he likes me but that's just his host side showing.
He calms down from his excitement and grabs my hand. He places a kiss on it just like how he did the first day we met. Over the years I got use to it since it was his custom.
Even though I'm use to this, it always makes me blush in embarrassment, it also makes Tamaki very happy which I also hate.
"Aww, look at your adorable red cheeks I could squish them all day!" He says placing his hands on my cheeks and giving them a slight squeeze.
"Tamaki that sounds wrong if people didn't know you were talking about my face!" I say trying to pull his hand away which only resulted in him squishing them harder.
"It doesn't sound wrong you're the one who thinks wrong." He says while giving you a disappointing look.
"Y/n, that is a very inappropriate way for a lady to act!" He says crossing his arms over his chest dramatically, while leaning on one leg and tapping his other foot.
I ignore his scold and I lean forward and place a kiss on his cheek. Causing him to turn pink and he coughs awkwardly.

"I forgot that it's a custom of yours to kiss me on the cheek." He says rubbing the spot where my lips were.
Yes it was a custom of mine, I did it to make him blush. When I matured a bit more and realized cooties weren't that bad seeing how it was normal. I thought of a way to make him blush.
"Come on Tamaki I've kissed you on the cheek for many years yet here you are, a blushing mess!" I pat his back while stifling a small chuckle.
He smiles at me and offers me his arm. I place my arm around his and he leads us to where he was sitting. He pulls out the chair for me to sit like the gentlemen he is and he takes a seat himself.
"Don't worry about ordering y/n I already ordered your favorite." Tamaki says with a smile.
"You really are the best Tamaki." I smile at him.
"Anyway I wanted to meet up because I need your help." I say while placing Scooby on my lap.
"Help with what exactly." He says leaning in to pet Scooby which Scooby leans into quite happily.
"I need your help to make someone jealous and it involves you being my boyfriend." I say boldly. I see Tamaki blush a bright red in embarrassment.
"Wait y/n you know what that means right?" He says after the waitress puts our food on the table. Though Tamaki immediately thanked her with his host attitude causing her to blush immensely.
"Tamaki if you are done flirting can we return back to the subject." I say tapping my hand against the table impatiently.
"No need to get jealous love, my heart will always belong to you." He says dramatically placing a hand on his heart and giving me this sincere look.
I blush and flick his forehead, "idiot." I say crossing my arms over my stomach.
"Ow, y/n, you said to act as your boyfriend so I did." He whines while rubbing the little spot I flicked him in.

"I'm sorry Tamaki you know I always hated it when you absently flirted with me." I whine and take a bite out of my delicious treat. He smiled at me reminiscing the memories we shared where most of the time he flirted with me just to see my face turn red for fun.
"What can I say I'm a host." He smiles smugly at me. I ignore his comment and continued.
"Well then going back to business I accept, but who is this person we're making jealous?" Questioned Tamaki.
"My soulmate apparently." I say in annoyance. Tamaki's jaw dropped immediately after this unexpected news. Before he could ask I explain everything from the start.
How I was left to live on my own, how I almost got hit by a car and the driver ended up being my father. Then I explained how my father is also Cupid and wants me to get together with Saiki. I also explain to Tamaki a bit about Saiki.
By the time I was finished Tamaki was grasping his head in confusion.
"That means my little girl will finally leaver her daddy?" He says pointing to himself while looking up at me with his puppy dog eyes.
"Tamaki, you aren't my dad, and I'm just doing this because Fran keeps insisting, besides it's going to be a platonic love." I say sadly while Tamaki's gaze turns into a confused one
"He doesn't like anyone neither does he want to, trust me I know." I sigh sadly.
I remember the time I eavesdropped on the conversation between Teruhashi and him where he said he didn't like me.
Unknowingly a tear went down my face falling on my necklace.
Unbeknownst to both of us the necklace that had black at the tip now spreader halfway through the necklace.
I felt Tamaki place his hands under my face making me look at him in the eyes.
"A man should never make a woman cry, but if you insist for help to gain this mans heart I'll help you." He smiles kindly at me and I smile back.
"Thanks Tamaki you're the best!" I say going up to him and give him a suffocating hug.
"Here," I hand Tamaki a ring.
"Since he can read people's thought this ring will prevent him from doing so by replacing your thoughts with other thoughts." I say to him as he places the ring on his hand.
"For example if you think of the plan this ring will replace your thoughts with something else, like the thought of you liking fried chicken or something like that." I say to him and he nods in understanding.
"Well then mademoiselle, lets get this plan into action!" Tamaki yells out excitedly.
His phone then rings and he pulls it out.
"Hey mommy is there something wrong?" I hear Tamaki answer Kyoya, he really likes the idea of the host club to be like a family. Kyoya is the mother and he's the father.
"Yea sure I'll reserve a room for you guys, I'll call you back once I'm done." Tamaki ends the call with a big smile on his face.
"What did Kyoya need?" I ask him.
"Well the host club is coming to Paris, so you can get to see them!" I smile at the news I haven't seen them in so long.
"Really well then that's great, but remember the plan ok." I say and he nods.
We head to the hotel, but when walking back I spot Fran in a tree with binoculars.
He looks upset and he nods disapprovingly. He then poofs out of sight.
I look down at the pavement, questioning if this was even a good idea in the first place.

A Girl and Her Food
When a lost girl wakes up without a name, she quickly finds herself alone in a way that people around her can’t fix. Without a real plan and desperate to find what’s wrong with her, she thrashes and bites to stay alive. But human beings are weak things, that band together for strength, no matter who we are. Now if only she could work up the courage to ask one question... It’s normal to get stronger when you drink the blood of monsters. Right? Things to expect: - A powerful but kinda neurotic and emotional protagonist, with some degree of weak to strong. Or maybe strong to stronger, honestly. She's pretty rational and practical about things but won't always make the best decisions, so be warned if you super-dislike characters doing dumb stuff for emotional reasons sometimes. - Lots of dialogue and characterization, especially as we get more into it. It's focused on a single POV, but there might be some sections of other POVs later on, I'm not sure right now. - Magic is on the softer side, but I'll try to keep things fleshed out enough to avoid any obvious "well-established magic could have seemingly instantly solved this problem" moments. - I didn't add the mystery tag because I feel like it implies that this is a detective novel or something, but the story is absolutely incredibly opaque at times. So you'll have the most fun if you go into it trying to puzzle out the nature of events before they're explicitly explained!😇 - Also, I added the genre for completion, but it's gonna take a while to get to the romance. Please wait warmly and have some tea. Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!
