《Cupid's Potion》Chapter 40: You Will Pay

I pull away from my fathers lifeless body and slowly turn around.
Looking around the now dead silent area I spot Apollo on his hands and knees, he was crawling his way towards the opposite end of the Eiffel Tower.
I will grant my dad's wish, and kill this son of a b*tch.
"He's basically immortal, but now that I've impaled him with the syringe that contained the serum, it would slowly kill him as well." I tap my chin in thought, but while doing so I make my way towards his direction.
He's taken away my Father, Scooby is in bad condition, but I told Haruhi before she left to help him.
Then there's Amorette and Emmanuel who are still around. There's also Rome but who really cares about her right now.
Question is who do I focus on first?
I pick up the tool I had earlier that was knocked out of my hand and I move towards the limping body of Apollo, but before I could get any closer I see someone has already beaten me to him.
"Saiki..." I whisper under my breath, his body was dripping slightly with blood and his clothes were tattered and ripped. Who knows where he received those many scars, but his state didn't seem to be a stable one. Either way I make my way towards both of them and stand beside Saiki.
"Now, now, lets be rational little ones." Apollo eagerly starts backing up to the edge of the building until his heels are almost slipping off the edge.
"Rational? Should've thought of that before killing my father." I grab Apollo by his collar and pull him up.
I may not have my powers but my strength overall is quite high. I knew that the only thing I could do now is kill him.
The plan was to drop him off the Eiffel Tower over the edge of the building.
He's basically already dead so I won't be committing murder right?
But I could feel the uneasiness from the thought of letting someone fall to their death build up inside my chest.
"Just do it." The growl coming from Apollo throat pulls me back from my thoughts.
"Kill me, just end my misery." For some unknown reason his once dark-red eyes were now a pure light brown.
I was startled by the change of his eye color. I kept looking into his eyes and he seemed to be fighting a battle inside his own body.
"Wait, what's going on?" I still held a strong grip on Apollo's collar and he seems to be struggling even more than usual.

"You have to kill me or else this man inside me will kill all of you." With his final warning leaving his mouth, Apollo's brown eyes became red once again.
"Well then dearie if I go down you're coming with me." He pushes himself over the ledge of the building while dragging me over with him.
The sudden tug of being pulled down made me reflexively grab the bar of the fence that protects anyone from falling and tried to hold my own weight, as well as someone else's. Looking down to see Apollo hanging onto my leg, I catch him giving me a sinister smile. He smirks at me and before I could wonder why he begins to roughly tug at my ankle, so I would let go of the only thing keeping me from falling.
Trying to ignore his attempts of making me fall I grip onto the fence with all my bearing strength, but the slipperiness of the slightly worn off metal made it harder to keep a grip.
Soon enough two hands came into my view and gained a grip on me by holding onto my arms. I look up to see Saiki holding on to me so I wouldn't fall.
We both know that we're badly injured. Saiki has bruises and cuts on his body which might open more with the strain he's putting on his body.
Then there's me, I have a twisted ankle from the combat, and a few injuries of my own.
We're also both powerless at the moment......
I knew my decision wasn't the best, but it was the best I could think of.
"Saiki you need to let me go." I grit through my teeth while trying to hide the obvious pain I'm feeling from Apollo who is now scratching my legs with his nails.
"I can't do that. You and I both know that." He speaks to me verbally and I smile from slight surprise.
"I've never heard your voice out loud before," I chuckle. "I'm glad I got to hear it at least once." The few working muscles that I have in my arms begin to shake from the overwhelming strength I'm using to keep my body falling to the concrete floor that's awaiting my death.
"Don't be dramatic you're getting out of this alive with me." His jaw clenches from the strain he's putting himself through and I couldn't stand seeing him in pain any longer.
"Saiki, we both know how this will end," my hand clutches the bar tighter. "And before it does I want you to know that I'm sorry." I grin up at him.

"You will probably never forgive me for what I've done to you but," I stop my speech and take a deep breath, so I could steady my grip to hold on for a bit longer.
"When I finally got to know more about you I felt myself falling for you." I chuckle of a memory of me being slightly stubborn about love.
"I couldn't accept it because I didn't want to prove my father right. I didn't want someone to tell me who to love, I wanted to figure it out on my own! But I'm glad he did, I'm glad I was told, because I wouldn't have wanted anyone else besides you." I felt the last few tears in my system slowly fall out of the corner of my eyes.
"Because you are my other half." I lean forward with the last but of my strength and place a chaste kiss on Saiki's damp cheek. Slowly pulling away from him, I look into his purple eyes that I could now see clearly. His shades weren't in the way at the moment, but a few tears were edging out of the corner of his eyes. I wipe them away with one of my hands that wasn't supporting me, giving him one last smile I let my grip weakened
"Goodbye Saiki." I felt my body being pulled down by gravity towards the awaiting pavement below me.
Not even five seconds later my supposedly peaceful death was interrupted by Apollo's screaming. "Are your crazy woman! You're getting both of us killed!" Apollo's grip on my leg released and now he was floating by my side. His arms flung to grasp my body so he can let out his anger on me, but I moved my body away from him mid-air.
"Isn't this what you wanted!" I scream at him knowing that the wind would probably not have helped send the message if I talked in a normal tone.
Ignoring the man falling besides me I turn my body flimsily up towards the sky and prepare myself mentally for my awaiting slumber.
I thought I'd have a few flashbacks before I died but I'm here just casually chilling.
Curiosity makes me turn my body back around to face the ground, "well this doesn't help the horrendous feeling of my stomach dropping." I turn back around so I would be facing the sky.
"Wait is that-" I spot a shadowed figure jumping over the ledge and they're heading straight towards me.
In three seconds the body was now floating over mine and I was pulled into the males warm grasp.
"Saiki?!" I squeal in surprise and realize that we're both falling now.
"Are you crazy?!" I bang my fist against his chest, but his hand grasp my wrist.
I look up to see him warmly smiling at me and I felt the warmth of his smile a bit overwhelming.
"You weren't suppose to jump! You were suppose to leave out of this alive. What would your mom say when she finds out that her son is dead." I wrap my arms around his neck tightly to calm my rapid beating heart and feel a few tears slip.
"You're not suppose to die." I sniff and he wraps his arms around my waist.
"She's not going to say anything because we're not gonna die." He speaks telepathically and in an instant we were back on the roof of the Eiffel Tower.
Slowly pulling away from him I look around us to see that we are actually back on the building and not falling to our deaths.
"Wait......we're alive?" I question to no one in particular.
"Well you are breathing, so yes." I look into Saiki's eyes through the new green shades he's wearing now.
"Aww man," I whine which leaves a dumbfounded Saiki standing next to me.
"I said all that lovey doves junk for nothing!?" I crouch down and hid my red face from embarrassment.
I hated being overly emotional but since I expected to be dead before I could receive a reaction it was fine.
"You know maybe it's not to late," I head towards the ledge once again.
"Hey Y/n, don't do that!" I was pulled away from the ledge and was wrapped in between Saiki's arms.
"Hehe sorry I just don't like confronting people after I've said some mushy stuff." I gently bury my face against his chest while ignoring the fluttering butterflies forming a tornado inside of me.
We both pull away and smile happily, I place my hand in his and we head off towards Fran.
"So our powers or back, huh?" I chuckle at the convenience of the timing.
"Yep." Saiki chuckles as well, but our cheerfulness was interrupted by a not so cheerful person.
"Hold it right there."
