I pounded my fist against the door, begging them to let me in. I was crying when Karl, Quackity and Sapnap came up the corridor carrying a few bags of Wendy's food. When Sapnap spotted me, crying and trying to get into the room, he dropped the bags and rushed over to me. He gripped my shoulders tightly and shook me, "What the hell is going on? Where's George? Is he okay?" he spluttered.
I choked out, "He wasn't breathing."
______________________________
Sapnap held me as I sobbed uncontrollably. Similarly to when we found out about the car accident in the first place. Karl and Quackity were sat beside each other in particularly uncomfortable chairs. They sat their awkwardly, their faces were ridden with nerves.
It had been thirty minutes now, and no one had come in or out of the room. No telling whether he survived.
"I have no idea how it happened!" I blurted to Sapnap, "I swear one minute we're laughing and then he wasn't breathing, oh my god..."
"Don't worry Dream, he'll probably be ok!" Quackity comforted but it wasn't very comforting anyways. Sapnap shot him an angry look and he shut up. Karl got up out of his seat. He took my hand, hauled me to my feet and pulled me into a hug.
"Sometimes a hug is worth more than a thousand words," he whispered into my ear.
"Thank you Karl," I whispered back.
Then, a nurse came out of the room and smiled, "He's okay."
I immediately shot past her and found myself staring at George with a relieved grin at my lips. He was awake.
Guilt surged through my body as I gazed at his tired eyes and overall he looked dishevelled and completely and utterly exhausted.

"Hey there George," I said softly sit on the edge of his hospital bed, "How are you feeling?"
Karl attempted to enter the room but Sapnap stopped him and I heard him say, "Give them a minute."
"Dream I just wanna go home," he whispered, "I wanna go home and get out of this stupid hospital. I wanna go home and eat my own food, wear my own clothes and sleep in my own bed."
I chewed my bottom lip, kneeled down beside him and gently pulling him into my chest, "I know you do George, I'm... I'm sorry."
With my thumb, I wiped away the tears from his cheeks and a weak smile I said, "You should get some rest, okay?"
"Are you going to leave?"
"No, I promise that I'm not leaving George," I replied giving his hand a gentle squeeze. He flashed me a tired smile before sinking into the duvet and losing himself to unconsiousness.

My eyelids were growing heavier by the minute. Hours had passed since he fell asleep and I'm exhausted. But I made a promise and after everything that has happened, no way in hell am I breaking.
Just as I was slipping into unconsciousness, someone loudly bustled into the hospital room, startling me awake.
It was Ezra, George's boyfriend.
He said, "Hi um the nurses said that George was in here-" he then turned and looked at me, "Holy shit! Are you Dream? Like THE Dream?"
"I um, yes. Yes I am?" I mumbled, confused on how this had any relation to the fact his boyfriend was in hospital.
"OH MY GOD! I'm literally your biggest fan! I honestly love you so much."
I forced a fake smile and gestured to George.

"He's sleeping at the moment." I said and he nodded and wandered over to him. Stroking his hair, he whispered George's name.
"Um Ezra?"
"Yes?"
"Please don't wake him." I requested, suddenly feeling very protective of George. He agreed and turned back to me and asked, "Can I take a photo with you please,"
I cringed, "Not at the moment, sorry."
He pursed his lips, "Oh uh sure, yeah. I'm going to go book a hotel room."
I nodded as he left the room, then I trailed along behind him to find the other four boys. As I stepped out of the room, Quackity seized my arm and dragged me to the side.
"You like George?" he whisper-shouted at me, "You know like like him?"
I threw a dirty look at Sapnap and quietly yelled, "Seriously?! You told them?"
"I - I - it slipped out!" he spluttered.
Bad stared at me and said, "But George has a boyfriend?"
Karl rolled his eyes and Quackity yelled, "Well obviously you dumbass!"
"Language," Bad muttered.

George awoke two hours later, and Ezra was in the room before I had a chance. As I came in, he asked if the two of them could have some privacy. I nodded reluctantly, biting down on my tongue, in order to not say anything, so hard that it drew blood. I slipped out of the room but lingered in the doorway, eavesdropping on their conversation.
Ezra pulled something from his pocket.
"I got you this locket," he said and placed it in George's hand, "I have a matching one, and that means that even when we are apart, we'll always be together!"
With a tired smile, George said, "Thank you so much! I love it." and Ezra helped him put it around his neck.
"Anything for you Georgie," and he softly kissed his forehead. George raied his head, looking up and noticed me in the doorway.
"Oh hey Dream! How long have you been stood there?"
"Oh I uh only just got here," I lied.
A nurse entered the room, she had a smile on her face as she looked at George, "Hello George! How are you this afternoon?"
"I'm uh fine thank you," George replied.
"Good," said the nurse, "I'm happy to tell you that tomorrow morning, we are allowing you to go home, you will have to come in for regular check ups and you are not allowed to travel for six to eight weeks, but other than that, you're free to go!"
A massive grin grew on George's face, the nurse left the room.
I exclaimed with my arms in the air, "George! You're coming home!"
