《second best // dnf》29. Watching the Sunrise

He stirred in his sleep and then woke up. "Hello," he yawned as I laid him down on the bed and climbed in too. He reached for his crutches and stumbled off to his own room.
"Please stay," I mumbled, pulling the duvet over my body and George spun around and replied, "I probably shouldn't."
I sighed sadly as he left the room and then, to my surprise, a few minutes later he appeared in the doorway. He came silently back into my room. I pulled back the covers, allowing him to climb in because I know he wanted to. I slid my arms around his waist and pulled him towards me. We both fell asleep.

The next couple of days sped past in a blur. A beautiful, surreal blur. George and I were officially dating now, we told our friends and our families- they were supportive. However, we decided not to tell the fans just yet.
Sapnap was okay with our relationship, or so he said he was. I'm not so sure, but he keeps insisting that he is. When Quackity, Karl and Bad found out, they all screamed,
"I KNEW IT!"
or,
"DREAMNOTFOUND!"
or,
"I SHIP YOU GUYS!"
Something along those lines.
Everytime, George and I exploded into to giggles. So yeah, everything was going smoothly.
_ _ _
It was sunrise. Dream gently shook me awake and whispered, "Wake up, George, wake up," I groaned and opened one eye to see him gazing down at me.
"What time is it?" I mumbled, tiredly and Dream replied, "4am."
"4AM?!" I yelled and he quickly shushed me, pushing his finger over my lips. He pointed to the balcony and he had laid out a blanket on the floor and prepared two mugs of hot chocolate.

"I wondered if you wanted to watch the sunrise," he said, "But I can do it alone if you don't want to."
"Nooo, of course I want to!" I exclaimed with a smile and Dream beamed.
With a grin, I got up out of bed and together, we made our way onto the balcony. There was a slight chill in the early morning breeze that sent a shiver down my spine. He threw the blanket over the two of us and we cozied down outside. Sipping at our hot chocolates, we watched in awe as the sun appeared from below the horizon. The sky was painted with orange and yellow and there wasn't a single cloud to be seen.
Dream put his arm around my and I rested my head on his shoulder.
"This is nice," I smiled and he snuggled in closer to me.
"I've always fantasised of this moment George," he said with a smile.
I glanced up at him, "Really?"
He nodded, "Hm, every time I close my eyes, I pictured us watching the sunrise together."
"Dreammm!" I chuckled, covering my face with my hands.
We watched as the empty streets became packed with people and the cold air grew warmer. Sapnap came into my bedroom and saw us curled up on the balcony.
He laughed, "This is such a cliché couple thing!" and we both just rolled our eyes.
"Sorry that we didn't invite you," I pouted, apologetically.
"Oh no it's fine!" he replied but then held up his middle fingers.
George gasped and held up all of his fingers,
"Well I have a whole bouquet of them!" I grinned and Dream burst out laughing, "That's extremely cheesy George!"
The three of us packed up the blankets and headed inside to the kitchen. Sapnap whipped up some omelettes which we quickly finished. George got up and said, "Is it okay if I head out for a little bit?"
"Uhh yeah of course," I answered and that's the last we heard of it.
He left the house so Sapnap and I turned on the TV. We watched Grey's Anatomy. My eyes were glued to the TV screen when my phone buzzed in my pocket. Someone had DM'd me on Instagram. And that person was Ezra.
Ezra: Meet me at my place ASAP. It's important.
