《The Fading Sunshine》Chapter 12

**Still Hinata's POV
I laid in the room for about 20 minutes before I thought about my team. They might be looking for me. I need to go back.
I slowly got up and grunted from the pain. Everything hurt. I walked to the bathroom to look at the damage done. I had bruises on my sides and a pretty sizable bruise on my left cheek. And and top of all of that, I had my busted lip to worry about.
I washed off the dried blood and looked in the mirror. How am I gonna explain this to the team.
**Kuroo's POV
Hinata had been missing for about an hour and a half now. We had been out looking for him but he was no where to be seen. Karasuno's captain, Daichi, asked if I minded helping look for him. I of course agreed. Suga and Asahi went back to Karasuno's room in case he came back, but the rest of us went out and looked for him around the dorms.
I walked out near the bathrooms to see if something had happened to him in there. His team did say he was going to the bathroom after all.
I opened the door, but nothing could've prepared me for what I saw. I saw Hinata in the floor crying with his knees pulled to his chest. What could've possibly happened to make Karasuno's little sunshine cry.
I must've been pretty quiet coming in because he didn't look up at me. Or maybe he just wasn't paying attention. "Hinata?" I said quietly, I didn't want to scare frighten him. But there was no response. I slowly walked over and said, "Hey... Hinata." I put my hand on his shoulder and he flinched hard.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" He screamed.

I looked at his face and it was a mess. He had a huge bruise on the side of his face and a freshly split lip. And on top of all of this his face was covered in tears.
I knelt down so that our eyes were level and he stared at me. His eyes were full of fear. "Hey... It's me Kuroo. You're okay. You're safe." I said, I didn't know how to make him calm down. Hell, I didn't even know what was going on with him.
He looked at me for a few seconds and fell into my chest as he sobbed. He was violently shaking. What happened to you Hinata.
"Hey can you tell me what happened?" I said softly. I was never one to show my feelings but this was scaring me to my core. It had to be serious in Hinata was this upset.
He just slightly shook his head and kept crying. He gripped my shirt tighter and leaned farther into me.
"It was bad wasn't it?" I said. He nodded.
"You need to tell me what happened. I can't help you if you don't tell me what's going on.
"N-not tonight..." He said in between sobs.
"Okay, that's fine. It's okay if you don't feel like talking about it right now." I said
"P-please don't tell my t-team." He said as he looked up at me. I looked into his eyes and saw nothing but pain.
"I won't. I promise." I said. He leaned back into me but he didn't cry as hard this time. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer. I don't know what happened but I want to help him.
**Hinata's POV
Kuroo found me in the bathroom during one of my breakdowns. He held me as I cried and his arms felt so comforting.

I told him that I don't want to talk about what had happened. I couldn't do it. Not tonight. It was too much right now.
After about 10 minutes he finally got me calmed down. We cleaned up my face and walked out of the bathroom towards our room. We didn't run into anyone in the hall but when we arrived at the room we were met by Suga and Asahi.
"Hinata, where have you been." Asahi asked.
I looked at Kuroo but he just looked at the two third tears and shook his head. They must have understood what he was trying to say be they didn't ask anymore questions about the subject.
"Can you at least tell us if you're okay?" Suga asked cautiously.
"I am now..." I said. I saw Kuroo look at me from the corner of my eye.
"Okay, that's all that matters." Suga said.
"I'll go get the others, they'll probably want to ask questions though. Are you sure you're up for that?"
"I don't know if I can do that tonight." I said as I looked down at the floor.
"He can stay in our room for the night if it's fine with you and your team." Kuroo told Suga
"That would mean a lot, thank you." Suga said.
Kuroo offered to walk me back to their room so I grabbed my blanket and pillow and Tsuki walked me to Nekomas room.
"Are you gonna be okay for the night?" Kuroo asked.
"Yeah I think so." I said with a soft smile.
We walked in and most of Nekoma was already asleep. That wasn't shocked by that's though. It was almost 11:00 at this point. Kuroo showed me to an extra futon I could sleep on.
I shook as I laid on the mattress we, the memories from earlier came flooding back to me. I felt like I was hyperventilating. Then I felt an arm on my shoulder. I looked back and saw Kuroo. His eyes were closed but he still help me and whispered, "Its alright, you're safe now."
I calmed down and laid in silence. I couldn't fall asleep and my brain soon started to drift and think of earlier again. This time I didn't panic but I felt mad at myself.
Why didn't I try harder to stop him. I gave in. This is my fault. Besides, one will believe I didn't want to fuck him anyways. I'm gay, they'll all say I flirted with him or that I asked for it.
I carefully moved Kuroo's hand and went to Nekoma's bathroom. They had their own bathroom inside their room since it's there gym. I locked the door and looked around for one of their razors.
⚠️⚠️⚠️
I finally found one. I broke the plastic and removed the blade from it. I took it in my hands and raised my sleeve from around my wrist.
I repeated this on my other wrist and watched as the blood trickled from my wrist and dropped to the floor. I disposed of the broken razor and washed off the blood. I rummaged through the bags of bathroom products and finally found some bandages.
⚠️⚠️⚠️
I wrapped my wrists as well as I could and went back into the room. I felt better now. I laid back down and soon fell asleep.
