《Her is Enough (TriciaRobredo×Reader)》Cross - Part 15

"Sorry, I don't entertain people who romanticize me" I answered to the girl in the bar who's trying to flirt with me.
"..I have a wife" I smiled sarcastically.
"You mean..you 'can't' right?"
"I DON'T"
I left the table where I was sitting alone. Devastated.
There was a heavy feeling in my heart that made me leave the place.
I found myself at the rooftop. Away from the crowd, away from the noise.
"..I have a wife"
I faced the view. Buildings, cars scattered everywhere. Some newcomers at the bar.
Some drunk guys making fun of each other.
And I noticed one particular thing..
They're all happy, smiles surpressing their faces, laughters and chuckles that you can hear even from afar.
We are all humans after all, with emotions and feelings.
For some reason I felt insecure...
Ganto na ba 'ko? Habang buhay?
"Papa, I don't want to be a sad person..why are they sad? Can't they be happy?" I asked as a child while we're watching television.
"Tricia...people like them have reasons..you are not a human if you only felt happiness in you" Papa answered. "You will feel it too..not today nor tomorrow, but someday Tricia, you are going to feel it.."
I felt locked. Locked in sadness.
And I can't escape from it.
-
"Hey, mahal..how are you?" I placed the flower beside the bed.
Where she is laying, eyes closed. Sounds of heart rate monitor.
"..sorry I can't visit you so often..busy as always" I sighed.
"Uunahan ko na..okay lang ako, nakakain na rin ako don't worry" I smiled.
"..maganda ba yang panaginip mo? Do you feel free there? Are you happy there?"
"..I'm sure you are mahal, sana nga lang..magising ka na, so we'll do the things that you are happy with"

"Right?"
A loud silence covered the room. The beeping from the monitor continues.
I looked at her. She was sleeping peacefully.
I wonder if she's happy in her dreams. If she ever get what she wanted.
"And she looked at her, hoping that one day she would spend the time with her while holding her hands"
"Not losing hope"
"She might, but she always regains it just by looking at her"
And we know particular things for sure, in this story..
She
And
Her
And their unconditional love.
She promised her once that she will love her..
Even beyond death.
This story's ending was still unknown for me.
It's up to you.

El's Revenge
“Revenge is not for the dead- we, as the living, take revenge to relieve the burden we feel,” I whispered into the air. “Salvation for the people who suffered because of you,” I watched as the city burned in the flames. “Salvation for the people like me, who believed in the proclaimed heroes when in reality they were the devils.” I smiled faintly as the ‘holy land’ of those ‘saints’ was destroyed. I heard rustling sounds as Charlotte came to stand next to me, grabbing my hand. “El, are we the bad guys?” If I was still the same as I was before, I might’ve broken down and started crying. Now, it was different. “A villain is just another victim. They cry and mourn, it’s just that no one heard, leading them into madness. It’s one of the reasons why we know the most, but care the least.” I took a deep breath. “We may be the bad guys in other peoples’ eyes, but in my story, we’re the heroes.” Charlotte took in my words for a while and pondered, before nodding in agreement. “As children, we loved the heroes, as adults we understand the villains.” I looked at her and bonked her on the head, earning an angry glare from her. “Hey! You’re barely an adult yourself you know,” she grumbled. I laughed and ruffled her hair, before countering her. “At least I’m not 12. You can’t even be considered a teenager at that age.” After that, we silently watched the flames ravage the land, before leaving.
