I cried, hearing those words. The doctors were surrounding him, trying to help. But Jungkook's skin was too pale to look at that I was losing hope.
And I was right.
At 16:28 they declared his death. His body was taken away, along with my heart. His last words rung in my head as my friends held me. We all cried together, sharing the pain. We stayed together, trying to fix our broken selves but the main piece was missing and I knew he was never coming back.
We knew that it wasn't our fault, I was constantly reminded of the fact. But I couldn't help but blame myself for letting him slip away.
I was the one who promised to never let him go.
But I failed to grant his only wish from me.
I'm sorry Jungkook, sorry that I loved you too much to hold on tight.
