"Good morning!!!"I said to everybody who were here at the office.

"Wow look who's late? What is this, the second time this week?"Jennifer asked me.

"Don't act like y'all don't know that I have a ten year old, a five year old, and two toddlers."I said while walking to my desk.

"Maybe I need a ten year old, a five year old, and two toddlers."Hannah's smart mouth ass said.

"Why so that you can lose your job?"I asked her.

"Damn."Roland said.

"That was very harsh."Brooklyn, Hannah's side kick said.

"Right I'm offended."Hannah laughed.

"Which part?"I asked Brooklyn.

"Wow. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something?"Hannah asked me and I started laughing.

"Y'all know I'm just playing with y'all, quit being so sensitive."I opened my laptop.

"The baddest bitch just stepped into the building!!"Natasha yelled while walking into the office.

"Tash!!!"I semi yelled while looking at her and laughing.

"I love how she just made this grand entrance."Jennifer said and I nodded.

"What's new?"she asked everybody while spinning around.

We all examined her before trynna figure out what was new.

"Kodi, what's new!?"she yelled at me.

"I don't know."

"It's the lips!?"Roland asked her as he got up to look at her.

"No, do look like I get fucking lip fillers Roland?"

"Girl what's new?"I asked her.

"I got a nose ring!!!"she semi yelled and I gasped before we all laughed.

"I thought this bitch was finna reveal her bbl or something, talking 'bout a nose ring."Jennifer said while clapping.

"I think I need to find me a new office."she said while walking to her desk.

Yes Natasha works in the office with me.

At first she was doing hair and shit until she started looking into real estate and now she's an agent.

She just started a year ago so she's still learning and still has stuff to work on but besides that she's good at what she does.

"Whatever. Since everybody's here, I think we should get started with our team meeting."I said while getting up and going to the table in the front.

We all took our seats and I waited for everybody to get comfortable.

"Okay so y'all want to give me an update on where you all are and what's going on!? Who wants to go first?"I asked them.

"No mean to steal the floor but I do."Roland said.

"You have the floor babe."I said to him.

"Okay I have a listing North of Buckhead for one-seven-four-nine mil. Ummm my client is actually selling this house for someone well known, they're at one-seven we're at one-five. I think we're gonna land around one-six."

"Wow Roland that's really good!!"I said while nodding and smiling as everybody started clapping.

"Okay who's next?"I asked them before listening to each one of them give me an update.

Everybody was doing pretty good so we didn't have much to worry about.

When it was time for me to give them an update on how everything's going with me I just let them know about the brokers open that I was gonna be having soon.

A broker's open is basically a private event where an agent shows off a property that is for sale to target other real estate agents.

Usually everybody dresses up nice and gets cute, maybe come eat a snack and enjoy some wonderful service that comes with the Broker's open.

It all depends on the theme and the them I'm going for is gonna be Tacos and Picasso.

As agents tour the home they can enjoy a couple of crunchy tacos while enjoying the views of different pieces of art since it is owned by an artist.

I also included tacos since yesterday was cinco de mayo and this is just gonna be a good way to target more brokers who will get this house sold since it just got put on the market.

In the market you have to be creative in order to pass a deal, if not you won't be passing no deal anytime soon.

I've done many of these before so I know this one won't fail.

"Okay now that everybody has updated me on what's going on with them, I have some good news."I said before drinking my coffee.

They all waited for me to tell them but I just looked at their smiling faces.

"What's the news bitch I'm getting impatient."Natasha said.

"I'm sayin, I can't hold this fake smile for long."Jennifer said.

"We're getting a new agent really soon!!"I said excitedly and their smiles faded.

"Yay."Hannah said while snapping her fingers and they all joined in.

"Male or female?"Ro asked me.

"Whatever and female. Her name is Raven and she's a very good agent from what I've seen, she's been doing real estate for about fifteen year—"

"Why this bitch ain't a broker?"Natasha asked rhetorically and everybody laughed.

"Nah for real though!!!"Jennifer said.

"Anyways she's been doing real estate for about fifteen years. I won't tell you the rest but hopefully she can come in and help bring these numbers up. I'll be damned if we don't make it to television screens this year."I said.

"Period but can I be honest?"Jennifer asked me.

"Of course."

"If she doesn't come in here trynna take your desk and role, that means she ain't been in this shit for no fifteen years."

"Right more like two."Ro said and I just shrugged while smiling.

"Nobody's taking my spot at all but we'll see."

"And is she a sister or not?"Tasha asked me.

"Yeah I wanna know to because I don't see not one snow bunny in here."Jennifer said while looking around and I laughed.

"Y'all need to stop"

"Well I see two of them, y'all fifty percent."Natasha said while looking at Hannah and Brooklyn.

"No we're actually seventy percent African American."

"Oh okay I can work with that but y'all still act like them other people. Anyways back to Ms. New girl."Tasha said while turning towards me.

"I'm not telling you all what her race or ethnicity is because y'all gone take that and run with it."

"If she is just say that."

"No you'll have to see when she gets here, y'all are not about to bully that girl before she even makes it into the office."

"Koko stop playing bitch you know me better than that, I don't condone bullying. I just wanted to know."Natasha said.

"Yeah I know but no more talk about this, the meeting is over and it's time to get back to work."I said before going back to my desk.

When I got to my desk, I texted my hubby back before working.

He was checking in on me making sure I was good before he headed back to work himself.

Throughout anytime of the day, he doesn't fail to do that.

I just really hope that he's safe and stays safe after the talk that we had the other day.

It's fine though because I told him that if he's willing to risk his family for the streets and get locked up again, I'm done.

If he's never gonna be done with the streets, he can have them 'cause at this point he's letting me know that I don't matter and neither do our kids.

I'm gonna trust his word though since he says he has everything under control.
