Aylean's Pov:
"Wake up you lazy child" A voice muttered, shaking me awake, I blinked slowly and looked up at Davion "Oh look sleeping beauty finally decided to wake up." He grumbled.
I rolled my eyes and yawned "Good morning to you too Mr. Grumpy" I teased while sitting up from the picnic blanket.
"I am not 'Grumpy' I just wanted to be the first one to congratulate my baby sister for turning nineteen" Davion smiled, I shot him a glare.
This dude woke me up in the morning just to wish me a happy birthday? "What time is it anyway?" I asked stretching my sore limbs out of their sleepy state.
"Ummm... like 8 AM? I don't know my phone died, and I tried to check yours but it also died" Davion replied.
Well that was helpful
I smiled at Satin, but then she went on a full blown rant about what would we do if our mate was in our pack, and I shut her out because she was whining like a lost puppy for its mother.
Davion tilted his head "Should we had back?" He asked.
I raised a brow at him "Do we have a choice?" I asked and stood up, I walked over to my clothes. Thinking of what to pick out I looked over at Davion to find him trying frantically to open his phone. "Didn't you say it died?"
"Yeah but I was hoping there was least one percent so I could check if Luna or Alpha texted me," he sighed in defeat. I rolled my eyes.
"Why don't you just call them by their names? No offense but Ali does not know how to run a pack and neither does Julia" I scoffed, and Davion scrunched up his nose.

"Yeah, I'm not as bold as you. You were born an alpha blood, so you don't get scared that easily, but the rest of us weren't, so he's pretty intimating" he murmured.
I shrugged in reply and grabbed a dress that was neatly folded, Davion turned around and I slipped into the black cocktail dress, that had a silk black belt around the waist, the dress stopping just above my knees. "How does this look?" I asked as I turned to my older brother.
He turned around and smiled "You look beautiful, I'm sure if your mate is in our pack he would fall at your feet," he said. I smiled, Davion walked over to me and hugged me tightly "I can't believe my baby sister is nineteen now,"
I chuckled "You sound like an old grandma complaining about children growing up to fast" I hugged him back and we stayed like that for a couple of minutes before he pulled away from the hug.
"Let's go home before the family try's to kill us both?" Davion suggested, and I giggled.
I scoffed "Yeah, you mean only me? They would never hurt their oh so precious Davion" I mocked, he chuckled and shoved my arm playfully. I giggled "So... we walking, shifting, or running?" I asked.
"Let's walk, because I don't think you can run in that dress, or it will be covered in slobber" he replied simply. I nodded in agreement, I was way too lazy to change out of the dress anyways. We both walked up to the entrance of the cave, Davion crawled out first and I followed behind him.
Once outside the cave I stood up straight and brushed off the dirt off of my knees. Davion took my hand and we both started walking home.

I sighed, mom was currently lecturing Davion and I for staying out all night and not coming home. She was mostly saying how it was my idea and putting the blame on me. Like I suspected.
"You could have been hurt! Or worse what if one of those rouges caught you!" She gasped at the thought and I groaned in frustration.
"Mom. Relax, we were safe. We were both in the territory we just didn't stay the night at home, Right Davi?" I lied, raising my brow at Davion.
Davion got the hint, and he nodded "Yeah mom, we didn't go passed the border. We ended up staying at a friend of mine"
Mom sighed "Fine. Next time Aylean, don't drag your brother into your messes" she muttered and I rolled my eyes again.
"Yeah yeah, same old, same old. Mom I didn't force him to follow me." I snapped.
"Aylean."
I sighed after recognising my eldest brothers' voice "Yes dear Ali?" I asked, shifting my body to face my dearest brother.
"Where the Fuck we're you two?" He growled, Davion flinched but I stood up from the couch and folded my arms over my chest.
"Why does that matter? We we're both safe" I spat, "No. first thing that happens on my nineteenth birthday is my mom giving me fucking lecture for putting my older brother in 'danger' and my eldest brother bitching at me because I did something." I growled.
I could see their shocked faces, and I gulped. No wonder they didn't wish me a happy birthday..
They forgot it was my birthday today...
Satin growled in my head, I clenched my fists and took in a deep breath "You forgot it was birthday today," I whispered under my breath.
To say I was hurt was an understatement, this wasn't the first time this happened, but this one hurt the most. I was most definitely leaving today and they had completely forgot about me.
All because I was stupid runt, "Again..." I whispered and looked up, Dad and Piper had entered the living room and they both looked extremely confused. "I am fucking nineteen and you guys forget. Forget that I am leaving this pack." I growled, tears stinging my eyes, I blinked them back and took in a deep breath.
Davion stood up and pulled me into a hug. He gently stroke my back, and I could feel the death glares he was giving our family despite not seeing his face.
I sighed and pulled away "I'm done. I'm going to go pack and leave."
"You can't leave!" Dad yelped, and I glared at him.
"We made a deal, if my mate wasn't in this pack I am leaving. Guess what. He isn't!" I sneered and stomped out of the living room into my room.
I slammed the door shut and slid against my door tears stinging my eyes as they rolled down my cheeks.
What a great way to start our birthday huh Satin?
I smiled lightly, I wiped away my tears and stood up.
Your right. Let's get the rest of the day going!
