"Let's go in, everyone is excited to see you." My mother told me and headed inside the mansion. There were also a few family members in the household.

"By the way, where is John?" I asked my mother about my step-father.

"He will come back tomorrow, he would love to have dinner with three of us." my mother answered and I nodded then I turned my head and I saw my aunts.

"Auntie Alcina, Auntie Albina." I greeted my aunts who are twins they were the only ones in their generation who are unmarried but they are running their own successful business.

"Ah, Evelyn you have grown so much, almost to marriable age." My aunt Alcina noted.

"Probably you are not planning to stay single for long?"My aunt Albina joked and I didn't take a joke to heart since we would usually joke like that.

"Well Auntie Alcina and Albina, I don't think I will beat your record with my lifespan." I rebutted jokingly.

"Oi, still a comedian I see?"

"Learned from the best." I smiled at the sentence directed to Alcina and Albina since we would like to jokingly jab but at other times we would get along very long.

After I talked I caught up with Alcina and Albina I hear a familiar voice from my cousin.

"Cousin Evelyn!" my cousin Lila greeted me and hugged me. She was the same age as me, we would often attend the classes together and hang out.

"It's good to see you, Lila" I hugged her back.

"Finally I can show you cool places we can go to." Lila told me and I smiled. Honestly, I'm also excited about the new places that Lila mentioned in text messages.

After I spoke to Lila my mother wanted to show me where I will be staying.

"So mom I've heard you got another teaching license." My mother was a teacher in the pack before she had to leave and now she is teaching general material for children from the Valencia household.

Since she is teaching children in the household. My grandmother gives her an allowance that equals more than a teacher's paycheck and my grandmother sponsoring her courses so my mother would have a fresh knowledge. The best part is that she has a small classroom of four to ten children so can focus on each child.

While we are walking through the hallway I texted Kai that arrived safe and sound since he wanted me to text him when I arrive.

"Oh yes, Now I can help older children prepare for their first History and English exams." Then my mother stops and opens the door of the room I will be staying in.

I'm glad that my mother is doing better here. I'm just grateful that we've been accepted in here.

"This is where you will be staying." My mother told me.

The room was bigger than the room I was staying in the packhouse. My room looked like I was staying at an expensive hotel in Greece. The window has a view of the pools and then reaching the beautiful view of the downtown.

"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. We will have lunch in twenty minutes so you should probably change your clothes and join." My mother informed me and she left my room once she helped to put my clothes in the closet.

It is one of the household's rules to dress neatly before breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I decided to wear a plain pink dress since it was made out of material that doesn't easily wrinkle. Then in my bag, I found jimmy choo white kitten heels.

The only thing was left now is to brush my hair and fix my makeup.

Then I headed to the dining room. I managed to find it easily since I've stayed here before and memorized the layout of the mansion.

I arrived and my siren relatives are already gathered in the dining room as always I sat down next to my mother. I greeted the relatives that I haven't greeted yet. We were all waiting for the grandmother and also we were waiting for the staff to bring our food.

"Looks like everyone is gathered here." The woman with dark brown hair and blue eyes arrived here. If people didn't know that sirens exist they wouldn't think that woman is my step-grandmother.

"Even Evelyn came, how lovely!" My step-grandmother Reina Valencia greeted me.

"Hello, grandmother." I also greeted my grandmother politely.

After my grandmother sat down the staff started bringing our food. I guess today is for the Italian food since we're eating fettuccine alfredo pasta.

The aroma of the food filled the room and my stomach growled but I had to control myself since here I must be mindful of my manner so I carefully grabbed my fork and started slowly eating the pasta.

"I know that you wanted to find your soulmate before considering searching for the siren but still I want to know your current plans." My grandmother Reina Valencia asked.

The Valencia family is known for gaining influence by arranging marriages and I knew that one day I will be asked the question regarding the marriage, revealing that I have already had a proposal from Kai that will be out of the blue.

"Currently, I will be staying here for a month, after evaluation I received many opportunities so I would like to think through before I make my decision." I told my plans and my grandmother Reina nodded.

"That's a good plan. I've heard you got evaluated at Top 3 and even siren media outlets have picked up about this and giving our family more pride." My grandmother praised me and I didn't expect her to praise me for it.

Other relatives also started congratulating me.

Reina had always had the approach of praising rather than scolding. When I started taking lessons with my cousins she would always praise me for my small achievements and then I got motivated and started picking up the pace fast. Since I've had a passion for learning new languages I would love to challenge her by speaking in the language that I was learning, thus I started quickly learning languages.

Since education here is different from the education in the United States I had to take every college class available in high school and I was in a lot of extracurricular activities during a senior year or otherwise, I could have just received a high school diploma but my biological father and mother insisted to stay in high school so I could learn how to socialize with other werewolves and humans that are my age.

I didn't regret wasting my time in high school because during that time I explored and learned what I wanted to learn.

Then butler Samuel entered the dining room.

"It seems that envoys from the Nauloria Empire have arrived and now they are in front of the residence." Samuel informed and relatives were confused since the Valencia family didn't have any link to Nauloria Empire.

From my knowledge when the household receives guests that are foreign envoys is usually indicated that a noble or a royal is asking for a hand in marriage.

Which means Prince Kai sent the envoys. I guess Kai couldn't wait to make our relationship more official.

Everyone with a confused look on their faces started gathering in the foyer. They were curious about the foreign guests.

My grandmother stood in front of us.

"May I help you?" My grandmother politely asked the envoys from the Nauloria Empire. Then envoys politely smiled.

"We are here to deliver the marriage proposal on behalf of the second prince Kai of Nauloria Kingdom." The main envoy spoke. Aunt Alcine whispered.

'Is the Valencia household is going to produce a second Princess?'

Since I remember that one of my older cousins successfully married the Prince of the Mediterranean Kingdom.

"Who's hand in marriage does your prince ask for?" My grandmother Reina firmly asked the envoys and then continued "I have many daughters and granddaughters."

"to Lady Evelyn Bonnet." The envoy asked for. I sighed since I would have to explain everything. Everyone including my mother looked at me.

"I wanted to talk about it later but I didn't think that proposal would come today." I admitted so I clear the confusion in the air.

"Have you accepted the proposal personally from the Second Prince?" My grandmother Reina asked.

"Yes, accepted on a basis if Valencia family approves of the marriage." My grandmother nodded with approval. If I want to be recognized as the legitimate fiance of the prince, I need the support of my family.

"Then we require the meeting with a key member of the royal family before we accept the marriage proposal." My grandmother said with a smile after she turned to the envoys.
