《The Secrets of The Reverence Pack》Chapter 15: Relationship Issues

"Jimmy," Geo stage whispered. "This is the worst place to talk about this, and the worst time to talk about it."
"You won't let me talk to you anywhere else!" the boy cried. He always was a crier. Usually, it was Geo who had wiped those tears from his eyes and comforted him. Jimmy always came running to him when he was upset.
Could Geo do the same, though? No. Even when they were together, he always had to be the strong one that took care of him and deal with all of his drama when he had a thousand other things on his plate. He hadn't even realized just how bad their relationship had been until they broke it off.
"There's nothing left to talk about, Jimmy," Geo told him. The tiny man was giving him the infamous doe eyes that he had used on him countless times. "It's already been said."
"I just wanted to tell you that I was sorry," he cried. "I didn't mean to try and push you away. I just..."
"You don't want to be here," Geo finished for him. "I get it. But I'm not going to mark you and run off with you. I have my own responsibilities to deal with."
At least Jimmy had parents who were more open minded. He hadn't told them yet for fear of what they'd say or do, but Geo knew that they could see it in him. They never said an ill word towards him for it.
Meanwhile he had to hide everything about himself to his parents. His father yelled at him for just about everything. It was the most annoying thing possible. And dealing with that on top of Jimmy trying to argue nonstop with him about leaving was enough to drive him mad.
"You don't love me, do you?" Jimmy's voice got quiet. "You never did."
"Jimmy," Geo sighed. He really needed to get back to the party. He was supposed to be doing something important. "The whole time we were together I loved you."
"No, you didn't," that face flushed red with anger. Geo hated this look on him. "The only one that you've ever loved is Shiro."
"What?!" That took him by surprise. Sure, he hung around Shiro all the time, but he was his Beta. They both trained together and learned together because they were both going to be brought into high positions in the pack. They were best friends since they were both still in diapers.
"You follow him around like a lost puppy," Jimmy said, his voice full of venom. "Even though you know he's straight, you still stay by his side in hopes that he's your mate."
"Jimmy," his tone grew serious. He had to take a few breaths to calm himself down. The last thing he wanted was to throw this guy who was half his size into a wall. But, holy shit, did he know how to piss him off. "You're deranged if you think that I'm in love with my best friend. And none of this is convincing me to take you back. Now, you're going to go back out there and look like you're actually enjoying yourself, because I know that those tears are fake, and you're going to stop trying to talk to me."
"But-!"
"Enough!" Geo made him flinch with his tone. He could handle a lot, but Jimmy knew just how to kill him with just a few words. "We're through. It's final. We are never getting back together. And, after that lowball insult you threw at me, I don't want to ever talk to you again."

Jimmy looked like he was going to say something else, but then they both heard some talking from outside the room. Geo used that to walk out of the room, shaking his head. It was the worst spot to even have that discussion. It was right by the grand room where the party was being held, and Geo didn't have enough time to close the door before Jimmy tried to kiss him in the beginning.
It was a good thing his parents were with Alpha Sakdah at the moment. Most of the pack members had moved outside. But, of course, there had to be someone who overheard him. And it just so happened to be the Beta that he was supposed to be distracting that night.
"Ex problems?" the brunette nodded over to the door that he came out of. He had a nice smile at least. But Geo had already dealt with a tornado of emotions, and he didn't like that now he had to find a way to save his ass from Jimmy forcing that conversation.
"Something like that," Geo chuckled. "She was always a bit crazy."
"Oh, she?" he raised his eyebrows, looking like he was going to burst out laughing at any second. "I didn't know that Jimmy was a girl's name."
Shit. How much did this guy overhear? If anyone from the pack found out about this, he didn't think Shiro could save him from those consequences.
"She's a bit of a tomboy," he gave him a nervous laugh. "She gets that a lot, though."
"Sure," those blue eyes winked at him playfully. "Your secrets safe with me."
Great. Why did he have to be so bad at hiding this? No. He wasn't bad at hiding it. Jimmy just wanted to get revenge because he didn't talk to him since they broke up.
Because, you know, that's what people did after they broke up. Geo knew that they weren't going to be able to be friends. Jimmy was way too clingy for that.
"I'm afraid I didn't catch your name," Geo changed the subject. Maybe if he talked about something else, the guy would forget about all of this.
"Alex," he put out his hand. "From the Valor Pack."
"I'm Geo," he shook hands with him. "It's pretty obvious which pack I'm from at this point, though."
"Why do you guys always wear those things?" Alex asked, looking at the grey kimono he was wearing. "They look so hot."
"You get used to them," Geo shrugged. "And we only wear them on special occasions."
"So, if you were to get invited to a party from another pack, would you still wear them?" those blue eyes looked curious about him. Geo hadn't gotten looked at like that in a long while.
Ah, he missed being single.
"Out of respect, yes," Geo answered. "We would have to wear them to represent our pack at the party."
"Do you have anything else to wear for parties?" Alex asked. "I'm starting to understand why you guys don't come out more often."
"It's not that bad," Geo laughed. This time it was an authentic one. The look on Alex's face when he told him that they wore these to every party was hilarious. He looked like a confused Chow Chow with how fluffy his hair was. "It actually helps you keep cool."
"What?" he smirked again. "Are you not wearing anything under that?"

"Some very light clothing," Geo told him. "And, no, we don't go commando in these things."
"Have you ever thought about it?"
Jeez, Tammy was right about him. He lays it down hard what his preference is. He was glad that they didn't have that great of relations with the other packs at the moment, though. It meant that there was less likely of a chance for him to tell one of the pack members about what he overheard.
"Not unless I was sleeping in it."
"You guys sleep in those things?!"
"No," Geo laughed harder. He liked this guy's reactions to all this stuff. It looked like distracting Jett's Beta was easier than he thought. This was the easiest mission he ever had.
"What do you sleep in, then?"
"My bed," Geo smirked. Speaking of which, he still had to get something from his room. He left his phone in there to charge. And, knowing Tammy, it was probably getting blown up with texts wondering what to do next.
"Alright wise guy," Alex said. His eyes sparkled with mischief. "I suppose someone who just went through a toxic breakup wouldn't want to answer questions like that anyway."
"Why do you think it was toxic?" he tensed again. He really didn't like the fact that he had been overheard. It made his job ten times more difficult.
"Easy," Alex shrugged. "There's the fact that he said you wanted Shiro, which would have made me punch him into the wall if anyone told me that. And there's the fact that those tears looked totally fake."
"You saw him come out?!"
"Saw her come out," Alex teased.
"Yeah, sure," Geo mumbled.
"I still don't know how you didn't hit him after saying that," Alex shook his head. "If anyone told that to me because of how much time I spent with Jett, I would have thrown them across the globe. And both him and I have known that we were gay for ages."
Huh. It was good to know that he wasn't the only one who was like that. Only a fair few knew that Shiro preferred men. But both of them had known it since they were thirteen or so. Shiro probably knew it before then, though. Shiro knew just about everything. But they had simply stayed best friends, even after telling each other.
"He feels like a brother to me," Geo shrugged. "Rather than anything else. I couldn't imagine even thinking about him in that way."
"Same," Alex said. "It's just weird."
"Yeah," he trailed off. They had wound up walking down some empty hallways as they talked. They weren't that far off from his room at that point. Maybe Geo could keep him distracted and get his phone. It would be like killing two birds with one stone.
"Hey," he got Alex's attention. "I have to go grab something really quick. If you want, the food is just down that hallway. Or," he smirked. "You could follow me if you still want to keep talking."
"Why do you want me to follow you?" Alex smirked again. "Afraid to bump into your ex again?"
"Something like that," he shrunk. He was good at acting innocent when he needed to. It worked on his parents so many times, it wasn't even funny. "It's not going to take that long though, and I'm not going to force you to if you don't want to."
"I doubt you could force me to do anything," Alex said.
No, he was probably right on that note. Geo definitely wasn't as strong as this Beta from Valor. But the Reverence Pack always had tricks up their sleeves.
And Alex was easy.
They talked a little more about safer topics than before. Alex caught on quickly to him trying to hide his preference from people, because he would change the subject quickly as soon as he so much as heard a whisper of someone coming closer to them. It was a fun game.
He got to his room and told Alex to wait outside. He was just going to be a second anyway. He doubted the Beta would get that far if he left him to himself.
It wasn't until he got into his room that he realized something was off.
"Miki!" he slammed his door shut behind him. "What the fuck are you two doing in my room?!"
Tammy screamed before he could even get the last sentence out. The blonde used the blanket to cover herself. It was a good thing that Geo had redesigned his room to be sound proof. It took so much time to do it without his parents knowing, but he was so happy when it was done.
Now he was just annoyed.
"Geo!" Miki said. She was on his bed too, with Tammy on top of her. "I thought you were trying to distract someone or something!" The look in her eyes already told him what was going on.
"I was trying to get my phone," Geo covered his eyes. He couldn't believe that Miki's curse would act up tonight out of all nights. "Why do you have to do this in my room?!"
"Because I don't live here!" Miki said. She lived with her father at his Inn. "I wasn't exactly planning this, Geo! This was just the safest place to go other than Shiro's room!"
"Why didn't you go to Shiro's room then?!"
"Do you really think that would be a better idea?!" she sounded so aggravated. She always got overly pissed off around this time. She was either horny or pissed when the curse's cycle came. Geo thought it sounded similar to another cycle. But whenever he mentioned that to her, she would try to kill him.
"It's better than in here!" he yelled at her. The hand he used to cover his eyes moved to cover his nose. The smell was absolutely horrible to him. He quickly lit an incent. "Can you hand me my phone at least?"
He held out his hand until the device was placed in it. This was not something he wanted to deal with tonight. He already had to deal with Jimmy. That was enough for one night.
"Geo," Miki said, her voice getting softer. "I'll make it up to you, I promise."
"You better clean up when your done," he told her. He had no clue where he was going to sleep for the night. All he knew was that it definitely wasn't going to be there. "And by clean, I mean it better be baptized with holy water."
He got out of the room before he heard a reply. He needed to get out of there.
"What was that?" Alex asked. He scared him for a second. With what just happened, he completely forgot that the Beta was outside waiting for him.
He had a feeling that this night was going to be more difficult than he thought.
