It was a wet stormy night as the travelers looked for shelter after their long journey. They wanted to explore a terrain that had never been explored before, due to the harsh climate and the obstacles of getting to the unknown land.

The sight before them didn't disappoint with the beautiful view of mother nature at her finest. It had left them all speechless as they admired the sight. How had nobody been here to discover it was unknown to them. It was nearing nighttime and the storm was heading in rather quickly.

As they climbed down the rocky cliff, the travelers were hit with the heavy rain pouring down, forcing them to seek shelter within an unknown cave. Inside the cave, there was a perfect view of the layout of the land that showed just how far they had come.

The moonlight shone down on the cave giving it its own light. All the adventurers smiled then they all started laughing in glee cheering at their accomplishment. Though the travelers were awakening a force unknown to any of them there.

As their cheers died out, there was a rumbling noise that reverberated deep within the cave. They all looked in the direction but all they were able to see was the dark where the moonlight didn't reach. They were unsure whether if the source of the noise was coming closer or if the surround sound was tricking them.

They started to pack up their things when the growl was in front of them in the shadows. The beast showed itself in the light scaring the travelers in fright.

Soon, many more appeared behind it and they attacked. Before the people could run outside they were clawed, bitten, and decapitated. Their screams were lost in the waterfalls noise blocking the sounds from getting out.

The blood flooded out the cave along with the water flowing out into the waterfall. Now that their cave has been disturbed, the lycans will feast upon the offering of the humans. It would be their first meal in over a century, perhaps longer.

They had slept longer than expected but that was one of the many mysteries of the lycans, they didn't age, and they could survive without food for many years until they were needed. The humans were the ones that had first encountered the strange virus, eventually spreading it.

Back then the lycans walked freely amongst the humans without any worries, which ended up being their downfall. The plague worked more harshly on the lycans. Once it came into contact with them, it broke down their body and deteriorated everything inside killing from the inside out.

The five surviving lycans hid in the cave ever since. Hoping that together they could survive and sleep until the plague was gone for good. They knew the day when they would awake again, they'll be stronger and evolve into the new world.

Now that they've awoken they would need to go out into the mortals' world and breed with their women in order to save their race.
