《My Boyfriend's Billionaire Daddy》The New Job

"But Dad, I don't know why I have to start today when you aren't even going to be in town for the next month. Lawson and Mrs. Morgan are going up to the lake house for the entire month and they invited me to go with them, and they leave tomorrow. Lawson won't start interning in the summers until after his first year in college. Why do I have to start this year if you aren't even going to be around?"
Cyra stuck out her bottom lip ever so slightly and stared up at her father through her large bright blue eyes. She'd gotten away with a lot in life through pouting and she was nearly certain that this wasn't going to be any different. She'd just get him to drop her at the Morgan's townhouse instead of taking her to the office on his way to the airport and she'd be set. Her summer job would be just an ill fated idea that never came to fruition and she would be free to run wild on the beaches of Lake Michigan.
"Listen Cyra, that pout isn't going to work this morning." He fixed his eyes on the car in front of him and gripped the steering wheel, steeling himself against her persuasive wiles, which he was certain she got from her mother. "Logan, that'll be Mr. Morgan to you, doesn't think that Lawson is ready to work for the company yet. But I know that you are. And I know that you'll be in good hands learning from Logan while I'm abroad this summer. He's one of the best businessmen in the country and while I'm gone he's without a doubt the best in the city. Keep your eyes open, do what he says and you'll learn more than they can teach you in that fancy college that I'll be paying through the teeth for you to go to next year."
Cyra frowned and turned her face towards the window, watching as the traffic grew thicker around their red Mercedes SLC.
"Dad. If you're gone and you're really going to make me do this, can I at least have your car to get to the office each day?" Her father's expression, which moments before had been serious as he wondered whether he was really doing the right thing, forcing his daughter to work at his business with his business partner when she so clearly didn't want to, split into a huge grin at her question before he began to laugh.
"No fucking way, Sweetie. But thanks for the laugh." Cyra glared at him before turning her attention back to the lake and the rapidly approaching skyscrapers, one of which was where she would be spending her last summer before college.

Her father had swept into his office and spent more time talking with his secretary than he did getting Cyra settled. He introduced Cyra to Mila, the dark haired beauty that sat at the desk outside of Mr. Morgan's office and answered his calls, and to Ella, his own gorgeous blonde secretary who, Cyra learned at that very moment, would be accompanying him on his trip to Europe. Cyra raised a carefully shaped eyebrow at this information, but said nothing.
"Well honey, Logan will be out to get you settled soon. But we've got a plane to catch. I'll see you later this summer. Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Cyra gave her father a half hearted wave goodbye and settled onto a luxurious little couch outside of the enormous door that led to Mr. Morgan's office.
She smoothed the short skirt she'd worn and glanced around.
When Cyra was in elementary school her father had brought her into his office all the time. But that had been years ago in a different office. Now her father and his partner's offices were on the 87th floor of a silver skyscraper, and they had seventy hardworking employees, just in this office alone. She knew they had at least several hundred more around the globe, if not thousands, but generally her eyes glazed over when her dad started talking shop, no matter how much he wanted her to be involved.
"Cyra, honey, Mr. Morgan wants to see you now." Mila was looking Cyra over closely, a small smirk playing on her full red lips as Cyra stood and teetered for a moment on the stiletto heels of her black boots. As she walked towards the large white doors she tried to remember what she knew about her father's partner's personal assistant.
She'd remember Lawson saying that his mom was not a fan of the gorgeous former model working at the company. But her credentials were impeccable. She had last been the personal assistant of some prince overseas before coming back to America after five years abroad. She'd managed all of his social and business events, which was quite an impressive feat and when she moved back she said it was because she wanted to live closer to her mother, who was getting on in years.
"How old can her mother be?" She remembered Mrs. Morgan saying snidely to the young couple at lunch one day. "Mila can't be a day over twenty seven."
These thoughts were swept away as the door opened beneath Cyra's hand and she entered the large, bright office of Mr. Logan Morgan, one of the two most powerful businessmen in the entire city, and the most powerful businessman who wasn't her own father.

"Cyra, it's nice of you to show up this morning." Mr. Morgan was turning over papers on his desk and frowned as he said the words, without looking up.
"My father gave me a ride." She said the words softly.
"Of course he did. And that's fine for this morning. But tomorrow you will be here promptly at eight like all of the other employees. Wouldn't want anyone to think we're showing favoritism for the boss' daughter, now would we?"
Cyra shrugged. She didn't really care. She wished she could fast forward through this summer and head off to college in the fall. Logan's eyebrows raised a fraction as he noted her demeanor, before his eyes shifted and began to run over the rest of her body.
When Cyra was over at his home for dinner with her boyfriend's parents she was always dressed conservatively, in a-line skirts that went past her knees, nylons with sensible heels, and sweaters that only hinted at the curves hidden beneath the luxurious fabrics. Her long golden hair was almost always tied back in a sweet bun, or if she and Lawson were going to the lake, in a perky ponytail.
Today though, she was wearing something else entirely. She wore a short houndstooth skirt that would hardly cover her ass if she bent to pick something up or sat down, and a sexy little jacket, with a tiny black tank top underneath that her ample cleavage was nearly spilling out of.
He was surprised her father had let her leave the house looking like that, but he imagined that Jake had been distracted at the idea of going out of town for the first time with his new assistant, Ella. Neither man had managed to get into her pants yet, but with a prolonged business trip to Europe it was really only a matter of time. Jake was a lucky bastard.
But this is your son's girlfriend, he reminded himself, tearing his eyes from her svelte little waist and how lovely it would feel beneath his hands as he fucked her bent over his desk.
"Sir?" She asked after a moment's silence, staring at the broad chested man whose hair was just barely streaked with grey. He's like a more muscular, more handsome version of Lawson, she thought before blushing deeply and shooing the thought away. She could not be having those thoughts about Mr. Morgan. He was going to be her father-in-law some day if everything went the way both families had planned.
"Right, so you'll be here each morning at eight. You can come straight to me to get your assignment for the day unless Mila stops you and gives it to you. For today you'll be starting working in the file room. You're going to be scanning in our earliest documents and saving them both to a drive that we have and to our cloud, and once you've confirmed with your supervisor that they've been saved properly we'll have you start shredding as well. Daniel from tech is going to show you how to get started and if you have any questions you can ask him."
A young dark haired man who looked like a recent college graduate hurried into the room and escorted her out, towards an enormous room filled with files that she was quite certain could keep her busy for a hundred summers, rather than just the three that stretched on, now looking impossibly boring, before her.
Cyra scanned another paper and typed in the proper file name before hitting save. She'd been doing the same thing over and over again for nearly two hours and she was dying of boredom, watching as the list of files she'd saved grew longer and longer. At least it was a sign that she'd actually been doing something. Logan seemed to expect her to work and not just skate by on the fact that her last name was one of the two on the company letterhead.
Lunch had to be sometime soon. Leaning back in her seat she closed her eyes and tried to picture Lawson exactly as he'd looked last week when they'd been at the lake together, with his shirt off and his abs looking magazine worthy, but instead her imagination offered her a very graphic glimpse of his father, shirtless, standing in front of his desk.
Cyra sat up so suddenly that her arm hit the keyboard of the rather ancient computer she'd been assigned to work at and she quickly scrambled to make sure nothing had happened to her hours of hard work. But now she couldn't find any of the files she'd worked so hard on scanning.
Jumping to her feet she ran down the hall to Daniel, the tech guy's tiny cubby of an office, only to find it empty.
"Fuck." She swore under her breath, before turning and rushing back down the hall. She was going to tell Logan that something had gone wrong with the computer and that she needed help. There was no point in putting it off. She hurried to Mila's desk and found it empty. The personal assistant must have already been taking her lunch.
Without so much as a pause, so walked straight up to his office door and gave it a hard push...
