He pulled her to his bed and turned her around so she'll face him. "Matthew." He claimed her lips he pulled away and looked into her eyes "I love you Alejandra." She smiled and draped her leg across his stomach and closed her eyes getting comfortable "I love you Matthew." and they fell into deep sleep.

Sam came into their room and climbed on to their bed and pried his parents apart so he could hug Alejandra "Good morning mommy." Matthew half awake and grumpy groaned "Seriously Sam."

Sam said "Oh good morning dad." Alejandra opened her eyes and saw Sam's angelic face "Happy Birthday my angel." She kissed his nose then his chin then his cheeks the his forehead and peppered him with kisses and Matthew joined her in the Sam kissing parade.

"MATTHEW!!!" Alejandra called for Matthew from kitchen and he came running "What's wrong?" he worriedly asked checking her and Sam.

"I just wanted to let you know I'm taking Sam with me to pick up his cake. Could you be a dear and put up the decorations?" she said Matthew dropped his hands to his sides and scoffed "Okay love y'all be careful on the road." he said as he saw them off in his truck since he had Sam's car seat there.

"Sam Let's go to Wingendells and buy a you a car seat So I can have it in my truck, then we'll go get your cake and go home." Sam smiled "Okay."

Entering the store Alejandra was walking holding Sam's hand and arrived at the car seat aisle. Sam excitedly scanned and touched the car seats and said "I WANT THIS ONE MOM!"

Alejandra took the box and placed it in the cart "Okay do you want something from here?" Sam shook his head "No I'm going to get a lot of gifts today so it's okay." She went to hug Sam and patted his head "You are the best."

A voice interrupted the heartwarming mother and son moment "Sam is that you?" Sam peeked from Alejandra and gasped smiling "Mom it's my Grandma Paty can I go say hello?" Alejandra nodded and let him reunite with his biological mother's parents.

"GRANDMA PATY!" Sam hugged her "Sam I missed you." she said "Grandma are you coming to my birthday party?" She smiled adoringly "Yes my little redhead I came to buy your gift. Where's your dad?" She asked looking up at Alejandra.

"Dad's at home mommy and I came to pick up my cake and buy me a new car seat!" Grandma Paty did not like what she heard "Mommy?" she asked hoping to get answers.

Alejandra went to introduce herself "Nice to meet you I'm Alejandra, Matthew's fiancée." She shook the woman's hand "Fiancée?" She said her smile nonexistent at this point.

Sam cut in "Yes dad asked her to marry him and mommy said yes!" Grandma Paty was about to say something when Alejandra's phone rang checked the screen and it was Matthew. "Pardon me just a moment."

She picked up "Hey Matt." Sam perked up at his name and asked Alejandra if he could talk to his dad "Matt Sam wants to speak with you." She gave Sam the phone and he talked to his dad looking at the woman that has been eyeing her.

"I didn't know Matthew had gotten engaged. Much less San calling you mom." Alejandra gulped and stood her ground "Yes well we recently got engaged we are going to announce it tonight at Sam's party and as for Sam calling me mom-"

Sam hung up on his dad and noticed Grandma Paty's aggression to his mom. "I asked Ale if I could call her mom." He went and stood between his grandma and Alejandra and turned to look at Alejandra "Mom dad wanted us to hurry home."

Alejandra smiled at him "Okay." Alejandra looked at the woman in her eyes "It was a pleasure to meet you we'll see you at the party. Come baby let's go." She said taking Sam's hand and walking away with the cart.

When they checked out she turned the truck on from the outside and put Sam in his chair then opened the trunk and put his new car seat in and got in and drove to pick up his cake.

Sam watched youtube videos then picked picked up his cake and went home.

Matthew came out to greet them he took out Sam's new cars seat and installed it in Alejandra's truck. He felt a sense of happiness that she thought of buying a car seat for Sam to put in her truck. Sam pulled his dad aside and told him what had happened with his grandma.

Sam was inside the house getting dressed and his parents were outside finishing up decorations "Alejandra." she turned to see Matthew with a serious expression.

"Yeah Matt?" she asked going back to what she was doing "I'll handle Paty don't worry about her." Alejandra asked "What is her last name?" Matthew said "Anderson." Alejandra nodded and hummed "Okay." She got up and patted his chest going inside to open the front door whose doorbell rang.

"Hello Mrs. & Mr. Anderson, welcome please come in." Mr.Anderson was a sweetheart to Alejandra but his wife Paty was a whole different story. Matthew dealt with her wrath and then calmed her and apologized to Alejandra. And all was good between them.

Alejandra met Matthew's parents Alice and Eric. Alice was reluctant but she saw how harmonious she was with Matthew and Sam. Sam loved her and Matthew did too.

The party went on and Matthew made the announcement that they were engaged. They congratulated Matthew and Alejandra.

The guests left and Sam went to bed leaving Matthew and Alejandra to clean everything up before going to bed.
