Of Captivating Power is a (high) fantasy story about Alysia. Alysia is a fae/magi hybrid, a rare being in the land Visaura. She lives in the land of the Dark Fae, who's lord, Sepharin, keeps her as some sort of personal pet. She is kept so she can learn magic, though she has no magical abilities, and she's also abused. However, when a Light Fae ambassador, Azor Ahai, visits the Dark Fae, he might offer her a way out.
To be honest, the characters and plot are not the most original I've seen. Rare hybrid protagonist? Who is also abused? Especially by some sadistic, powerful aristocrat? Who's loved one(s) is /are killed by said aristocrat? Been there, seen that. While it doesn't make the plot uninteresting, per sé, it does have a high level of potential clichéness and Mary/Gary Sues. Be very careful!
However, it's obvious the world of Visaura is well thought out. The story even includes a wonderfully made map of its world! I also like the use of Latin words; I take Latin classes, so I know a thing or two.
There are no big mistakes in the GPS. Looks all fine and nice to me.
