Crimson Knight is the story of Niccolo Malaster (not Machiavelli, must remember), the prince of the kingdom of Malrin. When evil Lord Trydel seizes the throne, Niccolo flees and turns to a life of thievery, all the while seeking vengeance.

I like this story. It uses tropes I've seen before, but I don't count tropes as clichés. I think this is an interesting book and I also believe I haven't even seen everything it has to offer. Yeah, I see potential here.

The characters are well-written and interesting. Their personalities appear to be well-developed. What I did notice, however, was that the majority of villains (Master of Thieves, King Trydel, Lord Soran) all have dark/black eyes. Was this subconsciously done? If not, I'd recommend another eye colour for future new villains. They don't necessarily need black/dark eyes to be evil.

The GPS is good, with the occasional missed typo. Maybe go over the latest chapters, but most of them are relatively error-free.

Another thing I like about this book, is diversity. Both Niccolo and Shara are POC, which I don't often see in fantasy. Kudos!
