The roar of the crowd excites you as you step onstage. You greet them with enthusiasm and to your disbelief, the cheers get louder as the crowd hears you speak.
"Magandang gabi sainyo Dasmariñas, anong mas-say ninyo tungkol sa mga stage programs ng ating mga mahuhusay na Kapwa Kakampinks?"
They cheer and wave their flags and banners in excitement. It's deafening in a good way, the atmosphere doesn't feel like you're onstage- It feels like you're in a big room full of friends.
"Alam naman po nating lahat, na ang rason ng pag punta niyo rito ay para makita at marinig na magsalita ang ating one and only-"
Someone from the front row screams amidst the silence.
"One and only Y/N L/N po!"
"LOVE KA PO NAMIN Y/N!"
The rest of the crowd follows suit, screaming your name as well as some humorous statements that you can only catch bits and pieces of since the cheeringngets louder and louder. You stutter in surprise, thankful for the mask on your face as you're sure that your cheeks are now red with flattery and embarrassment all in one go.
You let the crowd's screams die down before continuing your introductory speech with a little flare.
"May mga pumunta rin pala dito para saakin? O sige mamaya picture tayo guys para may souvenir naman mga hulog sakin dito.. Pero for now please welcome- The next president of the Philippine Republic: LENI, ROBREDO!"

Tricia is there to greet you when you head backstage, with furrowed brows, tense shoulders, and unreadable eyes. The two of you share a hug before making your way to the snack table and taking your share, and once the two of you have your respective food in your hands- She takes your hand and leads you to a more secluded spot backstage: More specifically the spot where all the prop apparels are stocked.

The two of you open your food and set it down on one of the crates. Taking off her mask, Tricia's eyes fleet around the place as she ensures no one else is there. You take your mask off, the smell of fried chicken making your stomach twist and turn in anticipation. But just before you can sit down and enjoy the meal-
Your girlfriend quickly wraps her free arm around your waist, pulling you closer as she backs you up against the crate before she kisses you hard.
The shock wears off after a while and you kiss her back. She doesn't let you go, not even when you started pulling back in the need for air, she chases after your lips until you push her back by the shoulders.
Tricia lets go of you before handing you your food, and she sits down just in time for her older sister to poke her head around the corner and call your name.
"Y/N, ikaw na ulit!"
You don't trust yourself to speak, so instead you smile and nod at Aika who takes that as a sign that you'll be following soon. You look towards your food with a sigh, packing it up once more for after you finish your routines.
You fix your clothes before turning towards Tricia who has a Cheshire grin on her face.
"What was that about?!"
She shrugs her shoulders, taking a sip of her water before replying.
"Onting paalala lang bago ka makipag picture picture."
You walk back onto the stage with a blushing face, thankful for your mask and the fact that you can blame the heat of the spotlight if anyone asks any further.

Poliagoras is the most important world in the Fabric partly due to it being the centre of everything both literally and metaphorically. Trade, commerce, travel, and politics are all conducted primarily on Poliagoras, it has the biggest city in the fabric stretching to cover almost the entire world. It also holds all the known Great portals in the Fabric which are the only way to travel to other worlds. Even without these things, Poliagoras would still be the most important world in the Fabric as it is home to the largest population of Favoured. They were mages chosen by the Deities and given the potential to become more than mortal. I cannot overstate how appreciated constructive criticism is. This is the first story I have written of my own volition so even a small comment on how I could improve would be great. The current title is most definitely a working one. I know it isn't great.
