《Hockey Imagines》Patrick Kane ~ CB

"Patrick, it's 2 days away from Christmas, don't you think we should start to decorate the house?" I traced patterns on Patrick's arms, looking up at the sleepy Kaner.
"Yeah, sure whatever." Patrick mumbled half-asleep, not really hearing what I just said.
"Babe, did you even hear what I just said?"
"Something about you loving Tazer and BreadMan and Christmas in the sentence?" Patrick rubbed his eyes, trying to get the sleep out.
"Not even close to what I said. I was just wondering if you wanted to decorate the house with the decorations..." I crawled on top of him, peppering his face with kisses, the last one being on the lips.
Patrick smiled, sitting up and hugged me close to his chest, kissing the top of my head.
"Well, come on sleepyhead! We got a whole day's worth of work ahead of us."

"Patrick, can you pass me the lights?" I shivered into my gloved hands, letting out a quick breath. "Babe?"
Patrick came up to me and I burst out laughing. He was struggling to walk, due to the lights being wrapped around him like a kid in a mummy costume on Halloween.
"Oh my god, what happened?" I laughed, scuffling up to Patrick, unwrapping the lights around him.
"I got the lights from the box we put them in and I tried to hang them up... Well, it just ended up to be a huge mess and I tried to untangle it, end of the story." Patrick jokingly scowled at me before lightly kissing my forehead.
"I swear, it's -25° right now! Can we go inside now, Kaner?" I pouted, making Patrick chuckle and he grabbed my hands, leading me inside the house.
I made us some hot cocoa, giving him his cup before we cuddled on the couch.

"I love you, Kylie."
"And I love you, Tazer." I teased Patrick, before kissing him for the umpteenth time that day.
We talked about the little things in life before we got to the tree decorating.
"Kylie, can you pass the tinsel up here?" Patrick called up from where he stood on top of a ladder, hanging the last of the ornaments.
I passed him up the 40 foot lengthwise of tinsel, watching him slowly twirling the tinsel around the tree, making it shine like a thousand stars.
"We got the tinsel, the popcorn string, ornaments, all we need to put on the tree is the star!" I squealed, grabbing the star.
"Here, I'll help you up, hon." Patrick grabbed me by the waist, setting my legs between his neck, facing the tree.
I hung the star on the tree, letting Patrick set me down on the floor.
"The tree is so beautiful..." I looked at the tree in awe, hearing Patrick chuckle.
I turned to look at him, with a confused smile on my face.
"Not as beautiful as you, Kylie." Patrick smiled, making me kiss him passionately yet gentle.
"I love you, Kaner."
"I love you Tazer."
"Patrick Timothy Kane..."
"Just kidding, I love you, Kylie."

Fighting to be Kind in a Cultivation World
Aren't you tired of the typical cultivation story, where an isekai'd person comes into the world and becomes a brutal or selfish person? I know I am. So instead of being fully changed by the world, I want this protagonist to stick to their beliefs and help to change the world (and people) for the better. There will still be main character development and tests of those beliefs, but I want them to maintain that aspect. Brief Synopsis:American is thrown into a typical Xuanhuan cultivation world where the masses of the people are typically sacrificed for the abilities of the few. This is meant to be an alternate take on how protagonists approach these worlds. Main character comes into the world w/ scanning, healing, and monster taming abilities. The release schedule will begin on Dec 1st. The schedule is 2 chapters/week (Tue & Fri) at 11pm. Please like, comment, and follow, as that helps me to gauge interest in the series. Final note: I notice that many cultivation novels treat abuse or sexual assault as a throwaway tool to set a stage. I think the way it is normally done is both lazy and a disrespectful to victims. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve the way I've done it in this series, please let me know. I want to do this the right way. P.S. *Nudge, nudge* If you are looking for a sneak peek of up to 16 chapters ahead, check out my Patreon. :D
