I heard a knock on the door, causing me to pause the episode of "Friends" on my MacBook and go downstairs to the front door. Opening it, I found my best friend and roommate, Nikolay all soaking wet from the torrential downpours that San Jose was experiencing the past few days. 

"Николай Сергеевич Голдобин, почему ты мокрая!?" I squealed, grabbing a fresh and warm towel from the dryer and handed them to him. 

"Мой плащ не хватает...." Nikolay nodded his head to say thanks and started to dry off his hair. 

"Да неужели? Но я видел, что это было в сушилке, все чистые и свежие?" I smirked, crossing my arms and looked at him sighing in defeat. "Anyways, go upstairs and get changed." 

He nodded his head and jogged up the stairs and got changed. He came back downstairs in a different outfit and his hair was down due to the lack of hair gel and hairspray. Nikolay all of a sudden, walked up to me and started to carry me bridal style....

"Nikolay! Put me down!" I giggled, pounding my fists on his back. 

"Мне нужна ваша помощь с чем-то!" He giggled in Russian and that got me a bit suspicious. 

"With what?" I looked at him with a confused smile as he set me down on the couch and he took a seat next to me. 

"Мне было интересно, если вы хотите, чтобы научить меня по-английски?" His brown eyes made eye contact with my E/C eyes. 

"Конечно, я хотел бы помочь вам, Николай." I smiled, turning around to face him.

Teaching Nikolay English was a bit of a success! He wasn't speaking full sentences yet but he was getting there! To get him to say it in English, I refused to speak in Russian until he actually repeated what I said in English. 

"My name is Nikolay and I play for San Jose Barracudas." He repeated after me and I clapped my hands, proud of him for starting to speak in English. 

I had run out of sentences to give to Nikolay for practice, but I decided to tease him a little bit. Can't we all have fun with it? 

"My favorite best friend in the world is Y/N." I smirked and he just giggled. 

"Timo would be mad if he heard." He shook his head and I laughed. 

"Just say it, Nikolay!" 

"Ok! My favorite best friend in world is Y/N." 

I giggled as I recorded him saying it and he caught me. Immediately, he started to tickle me for surrender but I refused to. But, after 5 minutes of him tickling me and my voice was about to give out from all the laughter. 

After the whole tickle war, we continued to go through sentences in English when Nikolay said the oddest thing to me that made me blush. 

"You are most smart and beautiful girl I ever meet." He immediately blushed and covered his mouth after he said it. 

 I giggled at him, looking at him for the truth. "Nikolay, please tell me the truth...." 

"I-I like you. More than friends." He looked down at the floor and I lifted his face to make eye contact with me. 

"I've been in love with you too, Nikolay." I chuckled to myself and he looked me like he just won the Stanley Cup. 

He wasted no time and pressed his lips on mine, giving them a passionate yet gentle kiss. I pulled away a few minutes later and looked into his eyes. 

"So, what does this mean for us?" I mumbled, looking down at the hardwood floors and he smiled. 

"If you willing to, we could be boyfriend/girlfriend?" He chuckled, brushing the stray hair behind my ear and I blushed. 

"Really? Are you sure, Nikolay?" 

"I sure of it, Y/N. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course, I'd love to be your girlfriend, Nikolay Goldobin."

"I love you, Y/N L/N."

"I love you too, Nikolay."
