"Y/N, please? Will you sing with me?"
"William, I am not going to be a laughingstock in front of your teammates!"
"Ok, if you sing with me tonight, I promise I won't make fun of you whenever you cry during Teen Wolf....Please?"
"Oh alright! What song are we singing?"
"Uhh, does 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' sound good?"
"Well, it is a duet and we need the two of us to do it."
William rolled his eyes at my 'duet' pun and lent me my hand to hold. Very quickly, he grabbed my hand and ran up to the platform, causing me to follow him.
As soon as we got there, Kasperi handed us two microphones for the two of us and walked over to his DJ table.
"And what song will you be singing for the Marlies Karaoke Night tonight, William and Y/N?" Kasperi spoke through his microphone and smirked at William. "Please tell me it's not 'Single Ladies' by Beyoncé!I've already seen his dance and I don't want other people to be in misery."
William sarcastically clapped his hands and shook his head. "No, Kasperi...We'll be singing 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Meghan Trainor and John Legend."
"Alright, let's hit the track." Kasperi typed up the karaoke version and played it.
The little intro played at the start before I began.

William and I looked into each other's eyes before the song ended and we both smiled.
"Alright, give it up for the very adorable William Nylander and Y/N L/N! Next up on the list-Oh dear, it's Kasperi and me...Damn it Viktor!" Brendan looked at the list of the players and got up from the DJ table he shared with Kasperi. "Oh, we're singing 'I Want it That Way'!? Thank you, Viktor Loov!"

The crowd started to laugh as we left the stage and we took our seats. Looking at Brendan and Kasperi, I smiled very happily to see them sing since I've never seen them sing before...
Brendan started to sing and Kasperi took the other verses of Brian's part.

Overall, the Marlies Karaoke Night was a success, and it was practically a 'competition'.
"And the winner of the Marlies Karaoke Night is..." Connor Brown announced into the microphone. "A tie between William and Y/N's 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' and Brendan and Kasperi's 'I Want it That Way'!"
We all had a chuckle and went up to the stage to take a picture with Connor, Brendan, and Kasperi holding the trophy.

"Aww, really? You think so?"
"I really do, Y/N."
"And it's stuff like this is the reason I love you, William Nylander."
