I couldn't stand it! The constant sound of Auston as he was practicing his shots in the basement was really taking a toll on my sleep and it was starting to affect me in school. 

I groggily pushed myself out of bed and I somehow walked all the way downstairs to the basement to see Auston taking a sip of water from his bottle. 

"Honey, you haven't been sleeping very well ever since the playoffs ended for you...Is something wrong?" I frowned as I slowly walked over to him and tightly hugged him. 

"It's nothing...You probably should go back to sleep, you got school tomorrow..." His voice was raspy as he gently kissed the top of my head and I shook my head. 

"Auston, are you stressed about the draft that's on June 24th?" I looked at him sadly as he was very moody during the day due to his insomnia. 

He nodded his head before he burst into tears and rested his head on the crook of my neck, sobbing his eyes out. "It's so stressful...It's been taking a toll on me emotionally, physically, and mentally..." 

I whispered sweet nothings as I was trying to calm him down before I thought of an idea. I grabbed one of Auston's hands and led him up the stairs and into the living room before I ordered him to sit down on the couch. 

Walking upstairs into the bedroom, I grabbed my MacBook, which laid on my study desk and walked back downstairs carefully. I gently set the MacBook down before I grabbed the earbuds that were in the shelf below the coffee table and plugged them in. 

I handed one bud to Auston, who plugged it into his ear. I plugged my earbud into my ear and started to log into my account. 

Opening up a new tab on Chrome, I typed up the url for Youtube and searched Steve Dangle videos. Clicking on the most recent ones, we both cuddled into each other and started to watch the funny hockey-related videos. They were certainly very funny and I loved the parts he had the picture of Auston in his Team U.S. jersey with a Maple Leaf drawn on the picture. 

"Ahh, Steve Dangle never ceases to make me laugh!" I giggled as Auston laughed along with me. 

"Do you think I'll be drafted to Toronto?" Auston looked at me seriously and I rolled my eyes. 

"Auston Matthews, will you stop talking about the draft and just distract yourself?" 

"I'm sorry! It's just so hard to think of a distraction..." 

I turned around and faced him before I smashed my lips onto his and kissed him. In what was supposed to be an innocent kiss, turned to be an hour long makeout session... 

As soon as I pulled away, I saw Auston fall asleep and I shrugged my shoulders. Grabbing the blanket from the shelf underneath the coffee table, I draped a blanket over him before kissing his cheek softly and whispered 'I love you' to him. After that, I went upstairs and went back to sleep.
