"Are we going to lose this battle!?" I yelled out in the locker room as I walked around and started to be the captain every opponent was afraid of.

I saw my teammates shake their heads and I nodded my head. It was the championship game against our big-time rival and we were down 3-0. It was currently the second intermission and there were only 20 minutes until there was a champion to be crowned upon.

"Y/N is right. I mean, our coach is retiring after this game and we gotta go out with a bang. So, let's go out there and make a comeback tonight. We'll show them that we don't give up that easily!" The team leader and second place overall in scoring, Victoria nodded her head.

I heard them agreeing and that put a smile on my face. I put my mouthguard back in my mouth and I grabbed my stick.

"Let's win for Coach tonight and for our folks," I smirked as I heard the buzzer go off, making us exit out of the locker rooms.

There were 16 seconds left in the game and we were just down by a single point. I had scored 2 goals and Victoria had scored 1, but the opponents had scored 1 also. And if we scored in the next few seconds, we could go into overtime and potentially win.

"And Victoria passes the puck to the team captain, Y/N L/N. Is this it? Can Y/N L/N get a hat-trick and a shot at the championship as this is her last game with the college since she's a senior." The analyst was full of questions as everybody was looking at me.

Taking a deep breath, I carefully skated past the defenders and backhanded the puck in the goal, causing the goal siren to go off and the crowd to go wild.

"And she has done it! Y/N L/N has achieved a hat trick and caused the opponent team to go into overtime!" The voice boomed and I felt my teammates tackle into hugs.

"Oh my god, I equalized the score!" I squealed out and I heard one of my teammates, Lucy giggle at me. "What?"

Lucy pointed towards the stands and smirked, "looks like your lover boy is here!"

I looked confusedly at her before she made me turn my head to face the direction she was pointing towards and my jaw dropped. What was he doing here? I thought he was supposed to be in Russia for the World Championships?

"Earth to L/N! We still got an overtime to get through!" I heard Victoria giggle and I rolled my eyes.

"Let's get this play on the road." I nodded my head as if I was ready to go into battle.

"And Nicola's shot has been saved by Peterson! Up next is Y/N L/N for her college in this penalty shootout." The analyst was announcing as I saw the opponent skate to her bench and I skated out to center ice.

I took a look at the puck before I looked at the menacing goalie in front of me. Thinking of a way to get the puck into the net, I started to play around with the puck, getting the goalie distracted. When I looked at the small empty space she had created, I quickly shot the puck into the net before it was too late for her to block the shot.

"And there you have it, folks! We have a championship winner and we have Y/N L/N, our captain to thank for and the amazing team!" The crowd started to erupt in cheers and claps while we kept our calm and congratulated the rivals for their hard work.

"When can I open my eyes, you guys?" I asked to no one and I heard a familiar voice telling me to open them.

Slowly blinking my eyes open, I let out a tiny squeal as I found my boyfriend, Ben, down on one knee and was holding a velvet box in his hands.

"Will you, Y/N L/N, do me the honor and marry me?" He looked at me nervously as he bit his bottom lip.
