《Hockey Imagines》Alex Galchenyuk ~ MTL

"Oh my god, never knew that Montréal could get this cold during the fall." I shivered while walking down the street that leads away from the Centre Bell.
"Here," I heard a distinct Russian accent call out, causing me to turn around and face them. Oh. It was just my boyfriend, Alex. "You can borrow this, Y/N." He took his jacket off and held it out for me to wear.
"Alex, I don't want you to get cold." I shook my head, not wanting to let him get sick. "I'd rather get sick for you than you catching an illness and be forced to be out for a couple of games. I know how much you'd hate that, Chucky..."
"Dorogusha, take the jacket. I don't care if I get sick or not. As long as you're not getting sick and you're warm, then I'm happy." Alex shook his head and firmly grasped the jacket, handing it over to me. Reluctantly, I accepted his offer and decided to wear it the rest of the way back to our shared apartment.
"It's windier than usual, is it not, Y/N?" Alex spoke up as we strolled down the sidewalk of the beautiful city of Montréal.
"I agree, Alex," I looked up at the sky to find dark clouds starting to hide up the once bright moon. "And, it looks like it's about to rain, come on!"
---
Luckily, we barely made it back to the apartment just before it started to heavily downpour. Shutting all the curtains off, I turned on a few lights and lit up the fireplace as a few sources of light. That and it kind of set the mood a little romantic.
"Nice to see you in warm and dry clothes, Alex." I joked with him as he walked down the stairs, the reaction of which was an eye-roll from him.

"Hahaha, very funny," he rolled his eyes at me as he walked up to where I stood. He kissed my lips in a sweet and passionate way. "You're lucky that I love you, Y/N."
"I love you too, Alex." I chuckled to myself as my arms instinctively wrapped themselves around his neck. His arms found their way around my waist. "What should we do about dinner?"
"The roads look difficult for delivery and take-out...What do we have in the fridge?" Alex's icy blue eyes looked down at my E/C eyes, which were filled with confusion.
Pulling myself away from his grasp, I strolled leisurely over to the kitchen to check on what we had in stock.
"How does pasta sound?" I asked, holding a box of dried spaghetti in my hand and I was pretty sure that Alex wasn't pleased with the suggestion.
"As much as I love pasta, I'm going to have to pass on that...Is there anything else in the fridge?"
"How about chicken fajita salad?"
"That, I'll be willing to try."

After eating a delicious dinner, courtesy of Alex helping out a few times, we moved on to the couch and just cuddled each other as long as we wanted to.
"Y/N?" Alex whispered my name and I nodded my head as a response to his question. "What do you see in your future?"
"Hmm..." I thought to myself, wondering what my future would be like. My hands flew up to his soft and luscious brown locks while my eyes maintained eye-contact with his eyes. "I'd see myself working with my dream career. I'd see having a few kids and maybe a pet. I'd see living in a house not too far away from the Centre Bell. And, most importantly," I kissed his lips in a rough yet gentle way, "I'd see myself being married to you, Alex. Why?"

"Nothing, it was just a question that I had in mind. I'd see myself continuing playing hockey. Have a few kids and maybe a pet, like you said. And, being married to the most beautiful girl I know," he chuckled to himself, kissing me back. "I'd see myself being married to you, Y/N."
"I guess we both want to marry each other in the future." I smiled to myself, tracing the tattoos that were inked onto his left arm.
"Yeah, we do." He had a genuine smile on his face before looking down at me. "Ya lyublyu tebya tak sil'no, Y/N L/N."
"Je t'aime tellement, Alex Galchenyuk." I smiled back at him, kissing him on the lips once more.

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.
