Life is boring. I do the same things everyday. Wake up, get ready, go to the hospital, treat the patients, go home, sleep. Oh, and eat. And brush my teeth. And go to the groceries shop sometimes. Just like that. Getsugakure it's not a big village. Medical ninja like me spend more time at the hospital than on missions. Well, at least the village is peaceful.

"Goodmorning, (Y/N)!"

I saw my bestfriend, Akio, in front of the hospital. She's a medical ninja like me and we worked in the same hospital. "Morning" I smiled. "How about a cup of coffee before work?" Akio suggested. "Sounds go-" before I can finish my word, someone tap my right shoulder. I turned and saw Doctor Okita smile broadly while handling me a glass of coffee.

Oh God. Here we go again.

"Morning, (Y/N)! I bought you coffee!" he chirped. "...Thank you, but you don't have to buy me coffee everyday, Doc" I told him. "But I want to and I know you like it. Oh, and just call me Okita" he winked. "Are you free tonight?" he asked. "Oh? Uhm.. I..." I glanced at Akio. "Sorry, Doc. (Y/N) and I will go on a blind date tonight" Akio responded. Doctor Okita seems surprised and disappointed. "Oh.. too bad". Doctor Okita checked the watch on his left wrist. "Sorry, I have to go now. See you later". Akio and I bowed at him and finally he left.

"Thanks, Akio. But, a blind date? Really?"

"Do you want to go on a real one?" Akio teased while wiggling her eyebrows.

"Nope"

Akio and I walked to the changing room. "Come on, you said yourself that your life is boring. Why not try something new?" Dating, for example" Akio said.

"There's no 'something new' in a small village like this. And, I don't wanna play with feelings" I responded.

"We're only 19, (Y/N)! You sound like an old woman!" Akio laughed.

We arrived at the changing room and changed our clothes into a nurse uniform. "By the way, Doctor Okita hasn't give up on you, huh?" Akio chuckled. I sighed. "Let's not talk about it and go back to work". "How about my coffee?!" Akio snatched. "You can have this" I handed her my coffee. "Now, shall we?"

I stretched my stiff muscles. Working in a small hospital like this is not that troublesome because there aren't many patients here, but my work time is long due to lack of medical staff.

"Finally...! Let's go home, (Y/N)!" Akio chirped.

I nodded. After changing my nurse uniform into a regular clothes, I returned to my apartment. "I'm home" I muttered as I open my apartment door. My apartment always feels cold after my parents' death. I don't like it. This silence makes me feel empty. Alone. I miss them both.

After dinner, I decided to go to the training ground. I like to keep myself busy. Surprisingly, I saw someone at the training ground. It's usually empty. It looks like he... or she? I can't see clearly because it's dark, isn't training and just sat there. Did he-or she-just finished training?

"Who are you?"

I froze when I heard someone's voice behind me. Slowly, I turned and saw a tall man. Somehow, he reminded me of a shark and he aimed his sword at me. I can see a pretty severe wound on his left arm. It looks like he just got hurt.

"Answer me" he demanded.
