《New Life [Itachi x Reader]》28

Itachi. My mind went straight to him when I opened my eyes. I rushed out of my room and immediately went to his room. It's empty. I went around the hideout but Itachi was still nowhere.
"Kakuzu" I approached Kakuzu who was busy counting money in his room. "Do you know where Itachi is?"
Kakuzu paused for a moment. "A few hours ago I saw him go somewhere with Kisame"
"Where?" I asked hurriedly.
"I don't know. Sorry, kid"
I went over and asked all the members in the hideout about where Itachi and Kisame go, but they all didn't know. My vision began to blur with tears. I tried to rub the tears away, but they just kept coming.
My ears heard the sound of the diminishing seconds of life.
Itachi.
My instincts kicked in and suddenly I had a place to go. Uchiha headquarters.
* * *
I found my legs trembling as I saw a lifeless body lying among the rubble. It's him. It's... Itachi. I saw someone lying beside him, unconscious, and I'm sure he is Sasuke. I tried not to fall and walked over to him. I felt a stinging tears gather in my eyes and the lump in my throat made it hard to breath. I can't believe that now I'm facing my biggest fear.
I knelt beside Itachi and caressed his cold cheek.
(All credit goes to the artist)
"I'm here" I choked. The tears clouding my eyes, I couldn't see his face. "I'm here, Itachi"
I put my head on his chest, can't hear his heartbeat. My heart shattered into a million pieces. Please tell me that this is just one of those nightmares. I'm not ready for this. Will never be ready.
I embraced his lifeless body and sobbed uncontrollably. I gritted my teeth, it hurts so much. I love him, made me always think how to make me always with him. How to make lots of memories with him. Until I forgot to think of a way to let him go.

"Who... are you...?"
I lifted my head and behind my tears, I saw Sasuke was awake.
"I don't care who you are and what relationship you have with him, but he doesn't deserve you to cry like that"
"...You're wrong" I sniffled.
"You don't know what kind of person he is"
"It's you who don't know anything about him!" I screamed in frustration. "You don't know the truth about him!"
"There is no truth in him" Sasuke said coldly, his hand moved to take his sword. "You'll die with him"
"Lay your hand on her and I'll kill you right here, right now"
I turned and saw Kisame stood there, pointed his sword at Sasuke. "You're at a disadvantage in fighting. I'll give you a chance to go with your team and leave this place"
Several people appeared behind Kisame.
"We better retreat, Sasuke" said a girl with red hair. She approached Sasuke and draped his arms on her shoulders. A second later, they're all disappeared.
"You know, didn't you?" I asked Kisame.
Kisame put his hand on my shoulder.
"Why didn't you tell me...?" I asked between sobs. "Why didn't you tell me?!"
"...I'm sorry. It's his wish"
Tears rushed down my cheek. "...Leave us alone"
"(Y/N)..."
"Kisame... Please...."
Kisame hesitated for a moment before finally walking away. I stroked Itachi's hair as I continued to cry silently. The dark clouds began not to bear the weight of the raindrops and they poured out on us. The sky is crying with me.
"I love you..." I whispered. My hand moved to touch my necklace pendant.
"Secret technique..." my voice trembled. "...New life"
I felt my vision start to blur. So all this time, has Itachi seen the world like this?

Every time I took a breath, it hurts. All this time, Itachi had suffered so much even when he breathed.
I coughed a few times before finally swaying and laying down next to Itachi. I continued to stare at him even though my vision was getting blurry. Over time, the world was getting darker and I know, my time has come. I smiled one last time.
Well, not all stories end happily, do they?
I'm sorry Itachi. I know I'm selfish for doing this, but I want you to live.
Live on. Be happy.
you deserve it, Itachi...
* * *
Never gonna let you go
Giving you my heart and soul
Oh, baby, all I wanna do
Is spend my every second with you
This love, this love
I mean it 'till the day I die

Mage Among Superheroes
Turlough is a mage. He also happens to be an orc, generally lauded as being less intelligent than humans. He was unfortunately born with the Curse of the Barbarian, meaning that he can’t level up except through combat- which greatly hinders his ability to show he can be a proper mage. In a world with necromancers, dragons, invading armies, and all sorts of other monsters he would still be able to advance quickly, but unfortuantely… that world is not his world. An unprecedented peace reigns across the land, and in the last several decades there’s been little use for people capable of fighting- and thus little reason for people to fight him. So when he sees a portal in his master’s study he takes it, hoping to find a horde of demons or something equally foolish to combat at low level. But instead he ends up in a strange city full of skyscrapers and people running around in colorful outfits. Superheroes- and of course supervillains as well. What dangers and opportunities could await him in such a strange and unfamiliar world? Only time will tell. Inspired by many things in the superhero genre, and Super Minion specifically- though while the setting will share some standard elements, it is an original setting that will hopefully be as engaging as many of the other universes. Schedule: One chapter each Monday/Thursday, approx. 2000 words.

Birthday
Treasure hunting Ersel steals an effigy she thinks might pay off her family's debts. Problem is, the effigy is alive, and he's a bit of a narcissist. (This is a story I wrote back in 2015. It is half finished, though I was planning on picking it up as I promised myself I'd finish it after I submitted another piece to a publisher, which I did.) ((Oh and skip the first chapter))

Warmage: A Progression Fantasy
As the daughter of a renowned War Hero, Shaya was destined for a life of heroism and glory. A life she desired more than anything else – until her mother sacrificed herself for the cause and the very Empire she died for stole Shaya’s dreams from her. Cunning and resourceful, Shaya worked hard to keep her and her brother safe, clawing themselves out of a system set against them and gaining the power they needed to find their way in life again. Now, she’s achieved the first step of her dreams: she's been accepted to the prestigious Imperial Academy of War and Magic. In order to become the best gods damned Warmage around, all she has to do is overcome the Imperial system that wants to see her fail and control the demonic blood in her veins that wants for nothing but rage and violence. ...but hey, every obstacle is an opportunity to exploit – if you’re willing to think smart and work hard. Updates Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday![successful participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Rating: This should align pretty closely with your typical MCU movie, so PG-13 for scenes of fantasy violence. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you. MC: Shaya is analytical, but begins the story emotional and impulsive. She leans towards rationality and uses this to control her demonic impulses to the best of her abilities. She begins the story as a somewhat capable protagonist, but grows in power steadily through hard work and diligence. Fights: ...I like fight scenes. They’re going to be detailed, but I won’t drown you in description of individual hand movements or footwork. I like fights that can be solved like puzzles by the audience, where creative thinking wins the day using tools you know the protagonist has at their disposal.
