《Akatsuki x Reader One-shots (DISCONTINUED)》Hidan x kind reader pt 2

It has been 3 years since you left. Since then Hidan had searched for months before he gave up. He accepted you had left and he might never see you again. But he still kept an eye out for you when he visited villages.
There were countless nights where he would stay awake and regret his actions. Some of those nights he would cry himself to sleep. Few of those nights he would smile and chuckle at the memories he shared with you.
For the first couple of months since you left he didn't take care of himself, instead he searched and searched for you, disregarding what the letter had told him to do, the letter that he took with him everywhere. It wasn't until Kakuzu sat him down and lectured him did he finally take care of himself.
Since you left he never consumed alcohol. He despised it. He blamed the alcohol and himself , he thought if he never had any to drink that night you would still be here, by his side.
On a bounty mission with Kakuzu, he and Kakuzu stopped at a restaurant to eat and relax before they began the search for the bounty. They sat down at a table by a window and waited for a waitress to take their order. While they waited Hidan looked out the window and watched as the people walked by until someone caught his eye. He could only see their back but they looked so similar to you. Their height, their hair, and their body. He ignored the waitress and continued to watch the unknown lady.
" Hey idiot! Are you going to order?" Kakuzu asked his partner. Hidan didn't reply he continued to stare out the window. Without thinking he booked out of the booth and ran outside. He ran up to the lady and grabbed her by the shoulders " y/n!" He turned her around and was met with disappointment. Her face looked nothing like you. The woman screamed at him and he let go and apologized.
" Sorry about that... you just looked like somebody I knew...." he said sadly. The woman wrinkled her nose before walking away. Hidan only stood there with disappointment.

" Hidan?..." someone called out but he didn't hear them. He continued to stare off. It wasn't until a tug at his cloak caught his attention.
" Hey! Quit pu- ..." he stood there silently. Words couldn't form and he was unable to move.
" Hidan it is you! How ar-" you were interrupted when he pulled you into a hug and cried into your neck. You were in shock but comforted him nonetheless as he continued to cry and call out your name.
" Shhhh Hidan..... here follow me." You grabbed his hand and led him away from the crowded road. You led him to a secluded part of the forest and sat him down on a nearby rock.
" Hidan why are you crying?" You asked gently while holdings his hands in your small ones.
" Why wouldn't I be crying! It's been three god damn years without you! I tried looking for you but I couldn't find you and I-I...." Hidan broke down once again.
You sat there worried and confused.
" But in the letter I told you where I was heading.... Did you not get my letter?"
" Of course I got your letter! I have it with me right now!"
" Show me." Hidan handed you the letter and saw the last paragraph had been smudged and covered with blood. You let out a sigh. No wonder Hidan hadn't visited you in the last 3 years and here you thought he didn't care about you.
" It doesn't matter anyways. I finally found you." He hugged you tightly and you hugged back.
" So you never read the last paragraph of my letter?"
" No..."
" Oh.... well in that paragraph I told your where I was heading but I also confessed to you about something..."
" What do you mean confessed? Confessed about what?"
" I-I...Iloveyou!" You mumbled quickly.
" What?! I couldn't hear ya!"
Building your confidence up you yanked Hidan down by his collar and gave him a quick peck on his lips. He stood there shocked and you were blushing madly. Embarrassed you tried to run away but was stopped when Hidan grabbed your wrist.

" No way in hell am I letting you leave me again. Your coming with me and we are going to catch up on lost time." He picked you up and carried you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
" W-what are we going to do?"
" You haven't found yourself a husband right? Let's get married later but let's get the baby making process started~"
On a bounty mission with Kakuzu, he and Kakuzu stopped at a restaurant to eat and relax before they began the search for the bounty. They sat down at a table by a window and waited for a waitress to take their order.
" Hidan? Kakuzu?" Hidan turned his attention to the voice. His eyes and as well as Kakuzu's widen. There you stood smiling at them. You've had aged well. You looked more confident and happy...
" y/n...." he breathed out. You turned your attention on Hidan. " Hidan! You look great! How's life?"
He felt his eyes water but he blinked them away, " I'm fine. But you look amazing!"
" Really? I'm thinking the baby bump makes me look fat..." Hidan's eyes widen even more at the word baby. " Baby? Wait are you..."
" I'm pregnant! Isn't it amazing! I'm only 2 months pregnant! It's my second pregnancy though so now I know how to handle myself. My first child is already one. He grew up so quickly!!"
" Congratulations y/n. I'm glad your doing okay. I heard babies are expensive how do you handle the finances?" Kakuzu asked.
" Well my husband is a doctor so he covers most of it but I felt like I should help so I have part time jobs as a waitress and as a Librarian."
" Does he treat you right?" Hidan asked with a pained voice.
" Of course Hidan! He treats me like a queen! You two should meet him! He has the day off tomorrow!"
" We would love to but we have a mission to complete, maybe some other time." Kakuzu answered.
" Oof. Well are you going to order?" You asked taking out your notepad.
Hidan and Kakuzu ordered their food and you placed their order. When Kakuzu saw you weren't in earshot he turned his attention to Hidan.
" Are you okay?" Kakuzu asked.
" yeah why wouldn't I be." Hidan said melancholy.
" you shouldn't be selfish, be happy she's doing good."
" I guess...." Hidan continues to play with the straw in his drink while being upset with himself. Kakuzu let's out a sigh.
Once Hidan and Kakuzu had finished eating, Hidan had asked you to meet him outside to talk.
" So what is it you wanna talk about?" You asked.
" I just want to say sorry for what happened 3 years ago. I didn't mean anything I had said. You were my best friend and didn't deserved to be called a fucking bitch and I'm happy to hear your doing great. I know this is wrong to say and it's not a good time since you have a family now but... I fucking love you. I didn't know when I fell in love with you but it wasn't until you were gone did I notice how much I wanted you."
Hidan noticed you had a frown and tears were coming down your face.
" H-Hidan....Im sorry. I don't know what to say... I don't love you like that, I used to but not anymore.... I'm sorry I'm very sorry. I just hope you meet someone."
Hidan's heart broke even more by those words. Not knowing what else to say he said " I have to go..."
" Please take care..."
" I'll try." He replied back.
Lord Jashin, why have you forsaken me? Have I not been a faithful follower. Couldn't you have granted me my only request. It was a simple request, I just wanted to be loved by y/n and have a family. But you gave that wish to somebody else....

There will be occasional user polls to decide how the story progresses, interspersed throughout the story, and the polls that were done in the original version will still apply to the current version. Also if you have any suggestions for story ideas that you would like to see incorporated, leave a comment about it, and they might show up in the future. Lastly, I hope you enjoy the story, and thanks for reading. P.S. Thanks to gej302 for the cover art.
