Jungkook ended up dropping them off in front of the church, helping them take down the tricycles from the truck.
Jimin huffed as he pushed the tricycles into the small storage room outside the church.
Taehyung and Jungkook stayed behind, watching Jimin disappear into the small room.
"What are these for anyways?" Jungkook mumbled.
"The church's annual charity event. It's tomorrow." Taehyung replied.
Jungkook just nodded his head as Jimin came out of the room.
"You should come." Jimin announced, a teasing smile on his face.
Taehyung stared at Jungkook expectantly, waiting for his answer.
The boy didn't answer immediately, eyes shifting over to Taehyung.
"Nah, I don't think so." He trailed off, making Jimin pout childishly.
"Please! Tae, tell him he should come!" Jimin grabbed onto Jungkook's bicep, tugging at it.
Taehyung couldn't help the unknown feeling that swelled in his chest, eyes focused on the way Jimin held onto the older boy.
He quickly cleared his thoughts, remembering what Jimin had said.
"Uh- yeah, you should come." He spoke shyly.
Jungkook stared at him for a second too long before pushing Jimin's hands away and stating that he was leaving.
"Alright, bye Jungkookie! Thanks for the ride!" Jimin yelled as Jungkook sped off down the street.
"How do you know... them?" Taehyung asked curiously, as they stored all of the tricycles for the next day.
"Uh- Yoongi came into the bakery once and we quickly became friends. His father owns the tire shop we were just at. Jungkook is his friend."
-
The following day, Taehyung's father had him running around like crazy.
The event had just started and his father was demanding him to bring out more plates, more chairs, and more prizes for the games.
But nonetheless, it was perfect.

The event was at full swing, the townspeople seemed to really be enjoying themselves.
"This is amazing son." The pastor smiled, patting Taehyung's shoulder lightly.
Of course it was all for show.
"Thank you, father." Taehyung smiled lightly, watching as a group of children passed by laughing amongst themselves.
"I'm going to go inside and pray for a bit. I'm leaving you in charge, do not disappoint me." He lowered his voice towards the end.
"Of course father." He replied.
He and his father parted ways, Taehyung walking over to Jimin who was in charge of the lemonade stand.
"Hey, you want some lemonade?" Jimin smiled.
"Yeah sure." Taehyung thanked the boy as he took a sip of his drink.
"It's really good." Taehyung complimented as he hummed in delight.
"Thanks, I helped make it." Jimin giggled, eyes scrunching up.
"I'm going to go see if the other stands need anything." Taehyung informed his friend as he turned to walk away.
He began making his way over to one of the booths, occasionally bumping into people and saying 'excuse me' about ten times.
"Oh, I'm sorry-" Taehyung exclaimed when he bumped his head against someone's hard chest.
Only to look up and see Jungkook's face staring down at him, hands awkwardly stuffed into his pockets.
His cheeks flushed as he became embarrassed by his actions.
"You came." He breathed, eyes wide in surprise.
"Yeah, I guess." It was the first time Taehyung noticed Jungkook awkwardly rubbing his neck.
"Are you here alone?" Taehyung asked softly, glancing around to see if he spotted anyone familiar.
"Yeah."
"I was about to see if any of the booths needed anything. Want to come?" Taehyung asked with a smile.
Jungkook only nodded his head, letting Taehyung lead the way.

They walked around a bit, Taehyung glancing back to make sure Jungkook was following him.
He blushed lightly when he noticed Jungkook meet his gaze. He quickly turned around; he could have sworn he heard a light chuckle.
"Hi Mrs. Park! Need anything? More forks, spoons, plates?" He greeted Jimin's mother who was selling slices of her famous cake.
"Oh, I'm running low on plates dear!" She gave him a warm smile.
"I'll be right back Mrs. Park!" He bowed his head lightly before motioning for Jungkook to follow him.
"We have to go to the storage room. Father stacked all the boxes in there." He informed the boy who walked beside him.
Taehyung quickly inserted his key into the lock, allowing light to flood into the dark room.
It was awkwardly silent as Taehyung and Jungkook stepped inside. The smaller boy looked around at the boxes, searching for the ones marked 'plates'.
"I think it's this one." He huffed, picking up the giant box.
He tried to open the box, finding layers and layers of tape keeping it shut.
He pouted lightly, glancing around the room for anything to open the box with.
"Can you pass me those scissors?" Taehyung pointed towards the scissors on the table by Jungkook.
He continued his failing attempts at opening the box with his hands, feeling the burn on his fingers.
"Here."
And that was when Taehyung turned around, not expecting Jungkook's face to be centimeters away from his.
His breathing hitched lightly as he stayed frozen in place, too shocked to say anything.
He couldn't help but notice how warm, and pretty Jungkook's eyes were up close. He could feel the older boy's breath fanning his face.
Taehyung could feel this nervous feeling blooming in the pit of his stomach and he couldn't help but wonder why?
Why was he feeling... nervous?
Taehyung didn't break eye contact, eyes unfocused as Jungkook began to glance down at his lips.
It was Taehyung who suddenly stepped back, shaking his head lightly.
Jungkook lightly cleared his throat as Taehyung spoke softly, "Thank you."
And took the scissors with shaky hands.
He quickly cut open the box, taking out a few bags of paper plates before leaving the room with Jungkook in tow.
"Taehyung!" Jimin came running out of nowhere, breaking the silence that loomed over them.
"What happened?" Taehyung asked the boy who huffed, back hunched.
"Your father is about to start prayer for lunch. He wants you there." Jimin wheezed.
"Okay, can you take these to your mother? She needed them." He handed over the plates to the shorter boy who nodded rapidly.
He took one last glance at Jungkook before leaving to find his father.
-
By the time his father finished blessing their meal, Jungkook was long gone.
He stood in the far back of the crowd, watching the church boy stand by his father's side.
Jungkook stood with his hands in his pockets, brows furrowed.
He glanced around at the sea of people, suddenly wondering himself why he was even there.
Why he was at a charity event at a church on the other side of town.
And then he heard his voice. The sweet, delightful voice of the boy reciting words from his bible.
It was then that he realized it was because of him.

My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O. Tenkey here; thank you for your interest in "Not A Manga"! This was my first serial novel, and I hope you enjoy Xavier's predicament! Familiarity with manga not required (though it can't hurt)! I look forward to exploring the bounds of the Genre with you. (First volume is rated PG-13 for comic mayhem and light profanity—these are high school students, after all. Second volume is rated PG-13 to R for some violence and similar levels of profanity. Tags may or may not contain spoilers.)

Most people think having powers would be amazing. Not Nate. If he had it his way, he’d never use them and pretend they weren’t there. His powers, though, seem to have other ideas. Uncontrolled powers sound problematic on their own, but when people can destroy entire city blocks with a wayward glance, they become a whole new issue entirely. Nate has always felt like he’s had wary eyes watching him, waiting for him to slip up. So far, he’s managed to just barely keep his head down, but when his powers force him to step into the spotlight, he finds himself caught up in the one life he never wanted; heroism. Now, will he find a way to accept the powers he blames for all his problems, or will he crumble under the pressure? Note: I primarily upload on my website on Sundays . I'll upload here regularly up to a day after the chapters go live on the main site. Vote for aka on TopWebFiction! Feel free to join the aka Discord.
