《Run To You | Pietro Maximoff [1] ✓》TWENTY SIX

Right when my feet touched the ground, I pulled out a couple of arrows and shot them into the swarm of incoming robots. They hit the robots, lighting up small explosions in front of me. One of them however, seemed to have escaped and came right at me, throwing me off balance. The grip I had on my bow loosened and it skidded a couple of feet away.
Without wasting a second, I pushed myself onto my knees and grabbed the bow, swinging it around to hit the robot. I stood up, brushing the hair away from my face before swinging the bow forward again, throwing another one out of my way. Pietro ran in front of me, kicking another robot away to give me enough time to pull out an arrow and shoot.
Wanda closed her hands into fists, taking out the last of them and we quickly rushed to help get people to safety. I found a small boy crouching behind a fallen beam and pulled him up asking him where his parents were. He didn't seem to know where and I couldn't really blame him. Throughout the whole chaos, I was surprised the kid only had a few bruises.
I put a hand on his shoulder and led him to where the rest of the civilians were being gathered. Wanda and the others were busy doing the same.
Tony was busy trying to find a way to bring the rock down safely but it seemed as though he still hadn't come up with a fool proof plan. Time was ticking fast and we couldn't hold of the robots forever. That was something clear as day to everyone.
There was an argument through the comms over a way to blow up the city, something Steve didn't want to do, not until everyone one was safely off. The argument was interrupted by Fury who had surprisingly shown up in the Hellicarrier to help get the people off the city.
"Let's load 'em up," Steve called.
We all started leading the civilians to the outskirts of the city where the lifeboats were waiting to take them to the Hellicarrier which hovered a few meters from the city.
Leaving Rhodey in charge of getting the civilians on the life boats, Tony called for the rest of us to the church. The rest of the Avengers were already there -save for Natasha and hulk who were on their way. We took care of the few robots who were trying to get to the core.

"What's the drill?" Natasha asked as she joined the rest of us, closely followed by Hulk.
Tony pointed at the large metal contraption in the middle of the room. "This is the drill," he said. "If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose."
Ultron flew into view, hovering just outside the church.
"Is that the best you can do?" Thor shouted.
Ultron's face remained emotionless. He only raised an arm and the sound of the rest of his army scurrying and flying in our direction reached our ears before we saw them. It looked more like some kind of a zombie army. Some of the robots had missing arms and legs. Others only barely flew, falling to the ground only to fly back up. Somehow, that only made the situation seem that much more scary.
"You had to ask," Steve groaned as he stared out at the approaching army.
"This is the best I can do," Ultron said, gesturing to the army of robots approaching. "This is exactly what I wanted. All of you, against all of me. How could you possibly hope to stop me?"
"Well, like the old man said," Tony said as he glanced at Steve. "Together."
We assembled around the core, ready to keep Ultron or one of his minions from reaching it. Hulk grabbed and ripped apart any robots within his reach. Tony and Vision blasted the robots away and Thor used his hammer to hit any who got close. Wanda was a burst of red, annihilating any robots who came her way and Pietro was a blur as he punched through any robots. I shot arrow after arrow and when the robots got too close for comfort, swung my bow at them, throwing them out of the way.
When Ultron decided to intervene, Vision flew up grabbing hold of him and threw him out. Tony and Thor followed using their own abilities to keep him down. When the three withdrew, part of Ultron's faceplate was melted but the smug look still remained on his face as if he was still winning.
"You know, with the benefit of hindsight-" Ultron started only for Hulk to run out and punch him, throwing him out of sight. Hulk proceeded to roar loudly at the rest of the robots who hesitated slightly before starting to run the other way. He ran after them, ripping apart any he could reach.
"They'll try to leave the city," Thor warned.

"We can't let 'em, not even one," Tony said before calling for Rhodey to take care of the robots.
"We gotta move out," Steve said, turning to us. "Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats, I'll sweep for stragglers, be right behind you."
"What about the core?" Clint asked.
"I'll protect it," Wanda said. "It's my job."
Clint gave her a nod and a small smile before calling for Natasha and I to follow him. We got into an abandoned car and Clint drove around the rubble covering the city.
"I know what I need to do," Clint said causing me to tear my eyes away from the church where I saw a blue blur disappear into. "The living room! If I knock out that east wall, it'll make a nice work space for Laura, huh? Put up some baffling, she can't hear the kids running around, what do you think?"
"You guys always eat in the kitchen anyway," Natasha agreed.
"No one eats in a dining room," Clint said.
"We don't have a lot of time," Clint said once he stopped the car.
"So get your ass on a boat," Natasha said before running off to go find hulk to turn him back into Bruce Banner.
We had barely climbed onto the life boat when the frantic voice of a woman reached our ears. "Costel? We were in the market. Costel?!"
Clint, like the person he was, looked outside to where the woman was referring to. The building in front of us happened to be one of the few buildings that hadn't been knocked down. We spotted a boy struggling to climb out of a ditch formed when the ground had cracked. He seems to be pretty young, only about Lila's age. Clint sighed before turning to me. "I'll be right back, okay? You stay here."
I shook my head. "No. I'm coming with you."
"I'll be fine, I promise," Clint said before pressing a kiss on top of my head before running off.
I was watching Clint pull the boy out of the rubble when I heard the sound of approaching gun shots. It was coming from the jet with Ultron as the pilot. Clint spotted the jet and turned around as if to shield the boy from the gun shots.
The last thing I saw before the area filled up with dust, was a blue blur running in that direction.
The breath caught in my chest as I waited for the dust to clear out, hoping beyond hope that Clint was alright.
When the dust finally cleared, I saw Pietro standing with his arms outstretched towards Clint. What I didn't notice were the wounds on his body,, at least not until blood started seeping from them staining his shirt.
"You didn't see that coming?" Were the last words that fell from his lips before he fell.
"No, no no no no," the words fell from my lips as I watched Clint bend down next to Pietro.
I felt a strong urge to move, to do something. But for some reason, I couldn't move a single muscle. I only managed the tiniest of a step out, holding tightly onto the door frame like it was a life line.
He can't be dead.
But that wasn't true. They were just lies meant to make me feel better. Words meant to give me hope that somehow, he would sit right back up and crack that smile that made my heart leap every single time. That he would go back home with his sister along with the rest of us and that maybe, just maybe, this was just one of those sick dreams that I would wake from and realise had never happened. But the tiniest bit of hope I had been selfish enough to hold onto slipped from my fingers as Clint shook his head at Steve.
I stepped back from the doorway, tearing my eyes from the scene before me and sat myself down on the nearest seat. I only lifted my eyes from my lap when I felt someone sit next to me and wrap his arms around my shoulders, pulling me to his chest.
Tired breaths escaped Clint's lips as he mumbled "you'll be fine," over and over again.
✳✳✳
I'm sorry? To be honest, I don't actually know what to say other than that I was never planning on Pietro not dying (wow, that rude!) I just didn't want to change what happens in the movie. But well, there is an alternate ending coming up (I've already written it *squeal*) so keep your fingers crossed.
(This is actually the second time I wrote this chapter -or well, half of this chapter- because Wattpad decided to delete half of my hard work!)
Anyway, please consider giving a vote or leaving a comment to let me know what you think!
Thanks for reading!
Now go read the epilogue!! 😘

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

It's Hard to be a Hero in a Parallel World
A hero is transported from the real world into a parallel world similar to the video game he's been obsessed with for the past few weeks. The problem is, this game is way too difficult, especially for a nerdy gamer boy to survive. He decides to leave the hero-duty to someone who is actually competent while he looks for a way home. He hopes his knowledge of the game will help him stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, as one would imagine, the normal events of a game would change drastically when the main character is nowhere to be found. Read as the unlikely hero gets into trouble with his new companions, while trying to survive life in this parallel world. This is an original story that takes inspiration from and pokes fun at many novels, video games, anime, and the stereotypes and tropes that appear in those media.

Superficial Story
A story which is very, very, very superficial. Made because i can't write Ode to Freud right now because of something inside of me going "meeeeeeeeeh, don't wanna". So, reincarnation tag, op mc tag, YOLO tag, fuck you tag, all the fucking tags. Also, 18+ plus 'cause reasons. Also squared (²), no rape, no angst, no drama. Me don't like rape, me don't like angst, there might be some drama. edit: Shit, there's lot of rape. No angst however. Score.Good reading. Please comment because i'm a comment whore vampire incubbus and won't be able to keep reading without being feed with admiration and emotions from you, poor mortals. FEEEED MEEEE WITH ADMIRATION AND LOOOOVE!WORSHIIP MEEE!Also, if you want to really worship me then you can use this cat’s photo (https://v1.std3.ru/77/01/1374491618-7701b750f71457f08f766651f3c84875.jpeg) with my name written on the back of the picture. I would really appreciate sacrifices of healthy, natural, organic food, especially ripe, sweet, exotic and juicy fruit (you can eat the food 5min. after offering it to me in a clay or ceramic plate), rocks from abandoned wet mines, mild incense and a silent, nice, relaxing place. If you can chime a small bell twice or put some relaxing music in the background, dude… that. Would. Be. Fucking. Awesome!Thks, ‘k, bye.
