[Rocky: As always this summer started out with a trip to Grandpas cabin.
Tum Tum: Grandpa said he'd teach us how to fly like real Ninjas!
Colt: Tum Tum people can't fly
Tum Tum: Ninjas can Grandpa said so!
Colt: Ah- he's just pulling your leg.
Rocky: We thought our summer would be really boring the way it started out
Colt: But boy were we wrong.... ]
Sirens was heard in the distance "Pull over Grandpa!" Rocky orders.
Rocky sat in the front Blaze, Colt and Tum Tum sat in back.
Colt: Busted
"Woah" they all said besides Blaze who was clearly not really focused.
Rocky: So much for peace and quiet
"What's going on? What's out there?" Tum Tum asked standing up with the boys.
"Maybe a jack rabbit with a bad attitude" Colt mentions.
Rocky looks back at him smiling but noticed how Blaze was off a bit.
Grandpa started driving again making them sit down.
They pulled up to a crowd seeing people holding signs up and chanting "NO MORE DUMPING. NO MORE KILLING." "Cool. Indians!" Tum Tum says out loud.
"All right! Get in there! Come on! Start the trucks up!" The guy orders.
The men started breaking signs "What's going on?!" Tum asks "I don't know. It looks pretty bad." Colt replies. The guys were shoving them thats when a little girl got shoved making Blaze stand up immediately "HEY - thats my daughter! JO!" The girl looked at Blaze and the boys "NO MORE DUMPING, NO MORE KILLING!" She shouted and looked down her mom helping her sit up.
Colt shoved Tum Tum down he fell back into Blaze and she fell down in the seat "Jeez Colt!" She says which was the first few words she spoke on this entire car trip.
Colt immediately looked back and felt bad "Sorry." He said and looked forward not even bothering to help them up. But Rocky noticed her face expression.
Blaze looked seeing Colt staring at the girl her name was Jo and she was slightly jealous. She knew she shouldn't be jealous. It's not like Colt was ever gonna see her again if he liked her that way.

A cop came over "Come along now keep moving keep moving!" He orders.
Rocky looked at Blaze sadly him noticing also what was clearly happening he started developing feelings for Blaze during the summer when they came back after school year meeting each other again they were in different grades so they didn't see each other much.
But he also knew he couldn't do this to Colt. Colt would kill him. "Grandpa let's go!" Rocky orders quietly and he drove away.
Blaze felt light on her eyes when she woke up in her own room because she was getting older Grandpa had her sleep on her own bed away from the boys....
She blinked a few times to adjust sitting up seeing Rocky there smiling "Morning Zoey." "It's Blaze to you" she jokes. He frowns "Okay I'll let you say my name." She chuckled and got up pushing him out of the room then she changed into her uniform which was dark pink.
Her feet ran outside but was stopped when Grandpa went to hit her with a stick, she caught it lifting her leg up hitting the stick and letting go smiling "Morning Grandpa"
"Good morning Blaze." He said happily.
She sees Colt and Rocky were up already which is a surprise usually she is up before one of them. But guess she was really tired. "Look who's finally up" Colt smirks making her shove him.
Tum Tum comes out when he went to hit him with the stick but it hit the bowl on his head instead "There's no food in the refrigerator Grandpa" Tum complained.
Rocky stared at Colt and Blaze seeing them laugh in result he sighed.
"Pizza! Pizza!" The kids chanted in the car happy to get it. "I won't get any gas" "Just get pepperoni" "I'm not gonna get any fishes on my pizza. Okay?" "Cheese and Pepperoni is better than the other stuff added" Blaze argued with them.
"All right" Tum Tum finally agreed as they got out.

"First one in gets to order" Colt said making her race to the door.
"Hey! Wait up!" Tum Tum called out to Colt and Blaze behind them.
"Hurry up Grandpa!" Rocky said.
"Ah- you go on ahead. I'm gonna get some groceries."
"Okay" Rocky went in grabbing Blaze hand "Come on Zoey" he said pulling her to the gaming area she played Pac Man and he played some other game.
Colt looked at the two noticing Rocky pull her a new feeling had hit him and he was slightly angry.
"Pick up number 13"
"Yes!" Colt said excitedly.
"Pick up number 14!"
"That's us!" Tum said.
"Well. Go get it!" Rocky said annoyed.
She finally beat the game "I beat your score" she smirked. "Whatever" Rocky smiled at her cockiness.
Blaze looked seeing a girl which she recognized the one Colt was almost drooling over in the car making her heart break.
"Lookie here what the wind dragged in again"
"I thought I told you to stop following us around"
"Where's my father? What did you do to him!" Jo shouts.
"I don't know what you're talking about get outta here!" The guy shouts shoving her "Hey! Leave her alone!" Blaze shouts going over. "What do you little kids not understand about leaving us alone?" He laughs.
The guy shoved Blaze and the other guy grabs Jo "Don't do that!" His friend laughs "Let go of me!" Jo shouts.
Another guy grabs Blaze and she struggled when he put her in a head lock.
"They are just little girls they are too young for beer" he said laughing when he poured beer on Jo and then his friend did the same to Blaze.
"Let go of me!" Jo yells.
Blaze gets his arm off shoving him off her but the guy shoved Jo into Blaze and they both fell down.
Everyone gasped standing up. Blaze gets up even more angrier then before.
"What anybody got a problem with that?" The guy asks, Colt comes up next to her angrily helping Jo up also.
"I said anybody got a problem with that?" She went to speak. "Yeah, I got a problem" Colt said before her.
"Let me guess." The guy smiled coming over.
"You were too short for the good rides at the carnival?" He laughed with his friends.
"What's so funny about that?" Tum Tum asks being clueless.
Colt shakes his head still angry about what he did to the girls not letting it go "Why don't you buttheads just leave them alone?"
"What did you say punk?" The guy asks coming over.
"I said leave them alone" he repeated.
"Buttheads" Tum Tum finished.
"Come here you little brats" he came over one of the guys that she shoved before came up to her messing with her hair.
"I'm gonna have to teach you some manners" the middle guy laughs.
He started patting Colts cheek which he shouldn't have done.
Colt smirks grabbing his hand twisting it back him falling to the ground on his knees yelling.
Blaze grabs the guys hand that touched her hair and flipped him over her shoulder.
Tum Tum kicked the third guy.
Another guy came to attack her she dodged it doing a roundhouse kick kicking him hard in the ribs.
"It's sad that some kids just won't learn will they?" Colt smirks.
Colt continued fighting the same guy finally kicking him into his other friends then Colt flipped his pizza getting into fighting position.
The guy turned around "Get them!"
More guys came at them as she shoved a chair into one, she did a back flip kicking another with her foot.
Colt grabbed Blaze swinging her she kicked another guy and was set down continuing fighting side by side.

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’

Draugr Cell //Layer 01-- Investiture:
With the end of the only war to ever reach mainland Australia I found myself living out of a small room in an old military compound that had been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The end of the war, unfortunately, didn't mean the end of hostilities. The terrorism trend that had started back in the early 2000's with the attack on the world trade center over in America, had spread to just about every country on the face of the planet. Over time the constant threat from various groups meant the civilian police force was quickly undermanned, under equipped, and overwhelmed. They were simply unable to respond to the daily threats in any reasonable time frame, and in many situations lacked the both the skills and equipment required to deal with the threats to put them down in a 'safe' and expedient manner. Veterans of the war that were being reintegrated into society however, were just about everywhere, all the time. We have the training and the skills required to deal with just about any threat you care to mention, all we needed was access to the equipment to do so. In a world first, under the new Veterans program, the Australian government had taken the rather controversial step of allowing specifically selected veterans to go armed in public. Sure, with Australian weapons laws being very, very strict there were a number of hurdles to get over first, but that's where the selection part comes in. Tangentially that's actually how I met Brianna, my current partner. We work as ringers in Victory City, I thought being thrown into imptomtu combat operations and risking my life on a daily basis for barely livable wages was excitement enough. Then I met her... it... I don't know. An AI unlike anything else out there has wedged itself into my life and decided it needs to... look after me. What could possibly go wrong? **** This is the first book I have released, and my first entry into a cyberpunk universe. There is minimal drug use, a fair amount of sex, a bit of gory violence, and a sultry AI that has decided the main character needs a harem.
