《Unleashed ↠ Elijah Mikaelson》32

Cassandra was knee deep in blood and gore, the bodies scattered the bayou as she drained the last living vampire of blood and his life. It didn't seem like she had control at that point, all she remembered was stumbling into the bayou and then a vision of red. And now she was here, standing at the foot of a pile of bodies that she had created.
Elijah wasn't going to be too happy about this. But hell, who cared what Elijah thought? Not her, that's for sure. There was a point where she would, but they perceived her to be a monster, and that's exactly what she was.
It wasn't like she was switching teams all of a sudden, maybe she just needed to play on her own side. She hated the witches with a passion but right now the Mikaelson's fared the same. Cassandra needed some time to re-evaluate her situation. But for now, she was team vampire, just because it was easy, and because they had the power over her. Lucien was the witches puppet, and now she was the Mikaelson's.
It was things like that that made Cassie wonder, what didn't witches have hold on Lucien? Or was he just a major vampire sell out?
"Oh if I could rip these strings right off my wrists, then I would" she uttered to herself, holding our her arms and staring at her bare wrists, imagining strings attached to them.
She needed a plan. A good one, and she needed to get into Lucien's mind, Cassie was a good one when it came to manipulating people to get what she wanted. And she can make a great connection without anyone knowing, and she can get the information she needed.
If they asked her what she was doing? She was re-claiming the mind they had sought to control, she was becoming independent and self aware, as if she had been in a deep slumber for the past few days or like she had just been a robot built to serve the Mikaelson's solely.

She wiped the blood from her mouth, which didn't make a difference as it had basically stained everything she was wearing. It had even matted within her locks of hair.
"what on earth have you done?" Elijah had become uncomfortable with the window of time she had been gone, especially after her vague mood. He thought he was getting through to her.
So, obviously he went out to find her, and stumbled upon her 'all you can eat' buffet.
There was a million responses that Cassandra could say, she calculated her reply very carefully. But in the end, she settled for a short shrug and some silence. It really only then hit her that she did, in fact lose all of her control, even when she went on rampages, she had a small ounce of it.
She turned her head and stared down, counting; one, two, three and so on until she reached a jaw dropping number of fifteen vampire and werewolf bodies in the space of 15 minutes. But she didn't admit any regret, she didn't express any worry to the fact she didn't even remember hearing their screams.
"I fed" after more silence, she knew that she would have to give some sort of reply to him. She spat the words out at such a force. "What does it look like?"
"It looks like you've lost control of yourself" Elijah snapped back at her "I thought you were making progress"
"How can I runaway from something I already am?"
Elijah didn't need to listen to this, he had too much to do. He didn't want to stand around as she just became more of her old self, maybe a quick snap of the neck will force her to learn her lesson.
"Calm down, Cassandra" Elijah reasoned with her as she was obviously getting stressed and angry, and he was one to know that nothing good ever happened from that.

He slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out the voodoo doll, carefully, as if he was surrendering a gun, only this time, he wasn't going to be surrendering at all.
"How dare you" Cassandra recognised the toy straight away, feeling instantly weakened at the mere sight of it "put it back"
"Not until you calm yourself" Elijah bartered, holding it out in front of him as to repel her.
Cassie cracked her neck "you can't just use that against me if I do something that you don't like" she hissed
"Well, if you cannot control yourself, someone has to" he shrugged. It wasn't serving any good, in all honesty, it was only making her angrier and angrier with every word.
"It's not your place to control me"
"But it's my place to protect my city, and if I have to control you to do it" Elijah retaliated
"Put it away, Elijah" she demanded once more "before I tear your hand from your arm"
"Control yourself then" he raised his voice
"But Elijah" she began, tilting her head "I have control"
To Elijah's surprise, Cassandra ran straight towards him, her hands outstretched and reaching for the doll in his hand. He didn't know why, even if she did procure the doll, Freya had the power to find where she is, and then she wouldn't be able to leave New Orleans.
Instead of fighting back, Elijah took a firm grasp onto the neck of the doll and twisted it. It violently snapped Cassie's neck and making her fall to the floor amongst the bodies she created.

Understanding a cultivation world
A modern man armed with having read a few novels about cultivation is suddenly transmigrated to a cultivation world. He fights to both survive and thrive in this new archaic world full of arrogant young masters, demonic sects, and incredibly hostile wildlife. Note: In this story, I wanted to focus a lot more on what most novels skim past in regards to cultivation, namely the whole, spiritual growth aspect that seems to be entirely absent from the prosses of obtaining enlightenment the majority of the time, but the method of gaining cultivation. how it works, and what kind of world would develop around it are all things I wish to explore in this novel.
