《Project Goddess || Percy Jackson x Reader》V

"You sure you haven't ever sword fought?" He asked for what felt like the millionth time.
"What, I just casually sword fight my foster siblings while doing my homework?" I replied sarcastically.
So, I've been working on my backstory which happened to be really easy. I decided to have the sterotypical backstory of a demigod. Which, consisted of a perfect batter of no parents, only one, a foster home, or the only parent left is slightly off their bookshelf. Next, for the frosting, which included being a problematic kid, being kicked out of plenty of schools, and some ADHD and dyslexia. And finally for the beautiful sprinkles, some tragedy.
My backstory was carefully constructed without any problematic plot holes or what not. Anyways, my mortal parent died in a car crash when I was 8 (the sprinkles of tragedy). I was forced into the foster system, my first foster parents almost immeditely sent me away after I coincentally set their lawn on fire (the frosting of being a problematic kid). My next few foster parents were a bust. By the way, if one were to ask why they failed I could answer that question, however I thought this paragraph was already too long so I'm moving on. During that time I was getting kicked out of every school I attended by the next year. I also have specific examples about why for this. And then... When I was 16, I ran away-- woah plot twist, totally original--I stumbled into the woods and came across camp. Boom! Backstory accompli--
"(Y/n)?" Percy asked.
"Huh? Yea, what?" I responded.
"You kinda spaced out..." He said. "Anyways-- would you-- uh-- like to-- hm--"
"Yeah, Perce?" I said biting into an apple.
"Would you--" He took in a deep breath, his face red.

"Are you suffocating?" I muttered with fake worry.
He hastily shook his head.
"Percy... Your face is redder than Ron Weasely's when he's mad..." I remarked.
"Ugh-- no-- it's just that... wouldyouliketogotothelakeafterhourswithme?" He asked.
I may or may not have just spit out half chewed apple and dropped my apple. "Percy, we literally just met. You met me yesterday." He looked even more taken back than me.
He sputtered but no words came out, only inhuman noises.
"Percy, here I'll tell you what we get to be friends. Okay? Okay good. Then if you happen to still like me for some odd reason then I'll agree to go out with you. Okay? Good again. How do you propose we should start to get to know each other?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "However you wanna. Want another apple?" He asked changing the subject.
I nodded my head. He picked a bright red apple from the basket of apples Chiron left out for in between meal snacks. He tossed it to me. I caught it.
"How about not proposing to me in Greek." I suggested while smiling.
Percy blushed again. "Okay." He said between nervous laughs.

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

And so it was a being, neither human nor god or anything inbetween chose to save a life out of pity. But it did not understand the consequences of its actions, the changes a single life could bring. Like a pebble dropped into an ocean, first a ripple, then a wave, and soon all the lands of the world would be drowned before its might... So begins a new life, in a new world. Code Reader Kagami (LitRPG)
Sometimes things happen in this world that we are not in control of. Sometimes we are to a certain degree, and sometimes we are completely in control. However, this is a tale that constantly questions those boundaries. The story follows Kagami, a young programmer, as he winds up in a world almost alien to him. If it were up to him, he would have never visited this world and would rather stay raising his young daughter. Was it through his own actions that he had wound up here? Was it due to several combinations of factors? Or was it something he completely chose. These are questions that constantly haunt Kagami’s mind as he wanders this world and ponders his actions. Unfortunately, the glaring truth of it all refuses to ever look him in the eyes. Each night as he looks up at the night sky, he wonders if the end of this would turn out like the game he made. A tale of Guts and Glory… or would it turn out like he fears, a tale of blood and tears. Regardless of how it turns out, he will one day unveil the truth enshrouding it all. And perhaps in doing so, unveil the fate of his old world, enshrouded by mystery. ___________________________________________________________________________ While this is a typical Isekai started by the infamous truck-kun, the story is most definitely not what is to be taken at face value. I love making tragic twists into these types of stories. For Code Reader Kagami, you'll begin to see a descent into psychological madness. As your hero changes entirely from the moral man he initially was. If you're not a fan of dark aspect stories, this one is not for you. Thank you~
