《Mrs. Maximoff》Sixty

"You're talking about Morgan. Like, my best friend Morgan. Like, Morgan Stark. Are you sure?"
Jules and I sat at our usual table, talking about our days like always.
"Why is it so hard for you to believe that Morgan did something like that?"
"Because they're Morgan, simple enough. Are you sure it was roses and not holograms? Like, a hundred percent sure?"
"I actually despise you so much, I don't know why I keep getting lunch with you." Jules blurted out, but I could see she was holding back a laugh.
"You love me a lot."
"Whatever floats your boat. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go call my partner to thank them for the beautiful surprise they left me this morning." She used a sassier tone than usual and walked away, leaving me to laugh.
I continued my lunch alone and went back into our office to resume my work.
It was Valentine's day, and one of our coworkers had the fantastic idea of bringing us all some roses, which I found cute at first, but then the intense smell in the whole room got a little out of hand.
I still hadn't heard from Wanda that morning, she must have been in back to back meetings, I remember her talking about a pretty busy schedule that week.
I didn't think much of it and just kept working.
"Psst, Y/N!" Jules' whispers caught me off guard, almost making me jump out of my seat.
"What?!"
"What did...you know who get you for today?" She did her weird thing with her eyebrows and smirked at me.
"You know who is busy with work, which is something you should be too instead of trying to sneak into my love life." Jules looked at me with an offended face and got back to work just like I had asked her to.

"Love life? Y/N has a love life?" Jessica, one of our colleagues stepped into our conversation.
"Surprising enough..." My best friend murmured, but her words were loud enough for me to hear her.
"Who's the knight in shining armor?" Jessica asked, making both Jules and I's heads turn at the same time so that we were facing each other.
We tried so hard not to laugh, but it got so unbearable that eventually we just cracked.
"Yeah, more like princess in shining heels." Jules stated, and even though the way she said it made me want to wrap my hands around her neck, I couldn't deny it made me giggle a little bit.
"Ooh! Look at you, Y/N. I hope she gives you something special tonight, if you know what I mean..."
"Oh my."
And just when I needed a way out of how weird this conversation had gotten, my girlfriend was there to help me.
Come into my office? :)
Since you're asking so nicely...
"Sorry guys, I'm gonna go get some water at the cafeteria, I finished mine." I excused myself from the room and even though I got a few suspicious glares, as always, I managed to take the elevator without anyone asking questions.
My hands were shaky from the whole time I was in there to when I knocked at the door. Suddenly, when she opened the door and I saw her, it all went away.
She looked beautiful: her hair was in a low bun and she was wearing one of her favorite suits.
I wondered how she looked even better with each day.
"Ah, there you are!" She excitedly ran up to me and pecked my lips before taking my hands into hers. "Happy Valentine's day, my love."

"This definitely is happy." I smiled.
"I've called you here not just because I missed your pretty face, but also because I actually need to lend you some articles." Wanda pointed at the papers on her desk before she got behind it again. "I can't really decide whether this should be published or not, and I need to have an answer by the end of the week. So, since my girlfriend is the most promising journalist here, I thought I could use some of her help."
"I thought you made the decisions here?"
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't have a little help, can I?" She started teasing me, which she knew was something I could not resist, but I knew where this was going and I needed to pull myself together.
"Sure, Mrs. Maximoff. I'll gladly help." I took the papers from her desk and was about to leave the room when I felt her hands on my back and her lips on my neck.
"Wanda..."
"Shhh, just relax, love." I did just as she told me, melting into her touch.
As my whole body relaxed, the papers I was holding met the floor and I backed up into Wanda's front, feeling her closer than ever.
Her hands traveled my whole body, when suddenly I felt her stop.
"So, I'll see you tonight?" She asked as she made me turn around.
"What? Are you kidding me? You're going to do all that and then just stop?" I argued. I hated it when she left me so frustrated.
"It's hot when you argue, but I suggest watching over your mouth." Wanda's pupils got bigger as she spoke and I gulped.
"Sure, Mrs. Maximoff. I'll see you tonight." I picked up the papers and left her office. I had never been so frustrated and I couldn't wait for her to put an end to it.
